The experience with Alpha Automotive has been very pleasurable, beginning even with the phone call for an appointment. Brandon answered the phone, and immediately I was blown away by professionalism. I told him the problem, and he told me to come in and they could check it out today. Everyone else was telling me they couldnt see me until next week. Did I mention Im here from Oklahoma for a baby shower? Yes, so that being said, I was ecstatic about them seeing my truck today! While I was there, I didnt here the nasty mechanic jargon that fills a lot of shops. No cussing and a family friendly environment go a long way in my book, since Im a Christian. They even offered to drive me 22 minutes away, since I didnt have another vehicle. Kevin and Brandon treated me, a total stranger from out of town, like family! Kevin even asked me if I had a church out in Oklahoma that I attended! It was awesome to find such a friendly group of mechanics, while I was stranded away from mine, with car problems. Such a great friendly staff. They even explained to me in detail several cost efficient alternatives. In my opinion after they broke down everything that had to be done, their pricing was very reasonable. Im sure it would have even been more reasonable if Toyota would make an aftermarket part for my truck instead of buying from a high priced dealership. LoL Cant change that, but this is out of their control and the blame for my pricing falls solely on Toyota. Kevin and Brandon really understand quality service and are not going to have to close anytime soon, if they keep it up like they are now. What do I know? I just have a college degree in business and am working on my four year in Paralegal. LoL Point being they didnt try to get one over on an out-of-towner and were a very legally sound business. I hope I never have car problems again when Im in GA, but, if I do and am in the McDonough area, I will always go to Alpha Automotive! Thanks again Kevin and Brandon!

I want to brag about my new buddy Kevin,the manager of Alpha Tire. I was traveling from Florida to Kentucky when my old Volvo developed an electrical problem. AAA got me to Kevins shop about an hour before closing on Saturday of Memorial Day weekend. We quickly identified an alternator problem, but parts were unavailable. By that time all the rental-car agencies in the area were closed, and I was desperate to avoid spending several nights waiting for parts to become available on Tuesday. In an extraordinary display of customer service and compassion, Kevin drove me to the Atlanta airport and stayed with me for more than two hours , until I finally rented about the last vehicle available, a 12-passenger van ! I got home late, but was enormously relieved to be home and able to care for my elderly mom, and just to be off the road. I just spoke with Kevin long-distance, and hes diagnosed the problem and has scheduled the repair to be completed in a very short time, despite having cars backed-up for service, and at a reasonable price. I worked in dealership service department for many years, and I know that customer service like Kevins is rarely encountered. His expertise and commitment to his customers is incomparable. I have a good service provider here in Lexington, but I still envy the drivers of McDonough Georgia having such meticulous autocare available just down the street. Thank you again, Kevin !

I have been taking my vehicles to Alpha Tire since I moved to Mcdonough about 6 months ago. They have replaced my tires for me, done oil changes and other small jobs, and are currently repairing a hub on one of my wheels. Their service is outstanding. Today I went in for a routine oil change. They noticed a dangerous problem with the hub on my passenger wheel. Rather than simply tell me a I needed to have it repaired, they took the time to take me back to my car and let me feel each wheel so that I could see for myself what the problem was. Once I gave them the go ahead to fix the problem, one of the friendly employees drove me home so that I would not have to sit at the shop for a couple of hours. You pay for what you get. The pros at Alpha know what they are doing, are certified to do the work, and their service to the customer is fantastic. It is always a pleasure to see them. That being said, I work in a trade industry. I understand that there is overhead for any business and that you should always expect to pay a little bit more for a qualified technician to perform a service than their non qualified competitor. Alphas prices are always fair and more than reasonable. As long as I live in the area, I will take my vehicles to Alpha.

I wont ever be taking any of my vehicles to this shop again. I took my truck to this shop and was told I needed new brakes. I went ahead and had them replace the front pads and turn the rotors. This was the first brake job on my truck. They turned my rotors so much, they machined them out of spec and they warped within a week. I was also told my back brakes needed to be done. I took them home and took the wheels off and there was at least 50% left on the pads. I was flat lied to and the sheer incompetence to not check the spec on the parts youre working on?! I will never trust this shop with my vehicles again. UPDATE: Since my last review I was contacted by the owner of the shop. He asked that I bring my truck back in along with the rotors I had purchased to install myself, so they could make everything right. I am extremely happy with the work that was done today. Im not sure my truck has stopped any smoother. I have tremendous respect due to the fact that the Owner of this facility realized that something was done wrong and went out of his way to correct the mistake. As for my previous review... I was having a bad day when I wrote it so I kinda took it out on them.

I have taken my cars to Alpha Tire & Auto for years. The quality of work, communication and customer service is exceptional. The owner, Kevin, has always been up front and honest about identifying repairs that are absolutely necessary and those that can be scheduled later (and what the risks are of waiting until later for repairs). He listens to my concerns, answers questions, and views the repairs (and costs) from his customers point of view. If you ask why a repair is needed I guarantee you will get a complete explanation. On several occasions I have needed a ride either to or from Alpha Tire when picking up or dropping off a car. He has come to my house to pick me up or given me a ride home when needed. That is customer service. I do not have time to spend evaluating and getting prices from different automotive repair shops. I know there may be shops that charge less but I strongly suspect I would not get the customer service or quality of work that I get at Alpha Tire & Auto. I recommend Alpha Tire & Auto to anyone in need of car repairs.
