They charge experienced stylist prices but provide you with stylists that do hair like they just earned their cosmetology license. Thats a fact. Ive tried two stylists here. Both young. Both doing hair like newbies. Yet, charge $55 for a silk press. Why should I pay that high a price for beauty school work? I am certain the two stylists I tried, licenses are not three years old. Let me give you specifics about my poor experience. Today, Dominique waited until she had straightened my hair all over before she asked how I wanted my hair. I wanted curls! Also she pulled so hard while curling my hair that every time she went over it (a second time) to curl it, I could feel and hear my hair breaking from my scalp. My hair smells like that terrible burnt hair smell right now as I type. Thats how much heat she used in my hair. Also, when she straightened my hair in the front by my forehead on the side she came done on my forehead with the hot iron. I jumped. She said sorry. No freaking hair style is worth a burnt mark on my forehead. NONE! How about how she kept burning my scalp. Lets get on Shay. The most melancholy disposition I have ever seen exhibited by a hair stylist. She gelled down the left side of my hair. GHETTO! She did my hair thin when I showed her pictures, and told her I wanted my hair thick. Also, apparently its best to schedule your appointment the night before. I scheduled an appointment at 8:20 am for 10:00 am that day. I showed up by 9:50. My stylist didnt arrive at the salon until 11:10. Besides an apology, I received no recompense whatsoever for my wasted time. And one thing you cant recycle, is wasted time. And given I work full time and finishing up my second year of law school, I dont have time to waste. I wont return. If the issues Ive experienced were serious enough, Id go on Henry Countys website and file a civil suit. Good luck to whomever decides to patronize this place.

Went to Unique Creations due to the advertisement that they displayed for weak & thinning hair problems. I had a consultation with Monique who recommended a keratin treatment for my hair because I was looking to go natural. I was given the the keratin treatment while still having permed hair & this caused severe damage to my hair. The treatments were very expensive & I was basically paying $75, $85 & more every two weeks with horrendous results. My hair became so dry & brittle & I began experiencing breakage in areas where there were no problems with prior to going there. I gave them my business for 4 months & the results were horrible. My hair is now thin & lifeless & I am praying that it recovers from this unprofessional treatment procedure. Too much money was spent by me for the poor results that I received. Expected better - basically it appears to be false advertisement to get you in there to purchase their hair growth products & services. I am giving them a 2 rating only because my stylist really tried to rectify the horrible results of the keratin treatment. Will never return! They definitely received more than enough money from me! :o(

This is a follow-up to my January 2017 post. This salon charged me $80 for an "all-over" color and a silk press when all they did was color the front edge of my hair and gave me a flat-iron. A lot of people think because their hair comes out really straight, they got a silk press. If the stylist doesnt use a comb and flat iron, at the same time, while pulling a shaft of hair, you got have a flat-iron, not as silk press. You will know the difference. I vowed to NEVER return to this place. Today, I went to a hair school. They took one look at my hair and said it had not been colored for months and I had about two inches of new growth. For only $50, I got an all-over color, a trim, and a flat-iron. Try going to the hair schools, youll pay less, they use quality products, the students are pleasant and so eager to please, and an instructor is standing right beside them. That will make salons like this one, more humble, grateful and appreciative of your business. That will make them get their act together!

Despite one negative opinion from a previous client of this salon, I had heard of positive things from others. I always believe in forming my own opinions and trying the services out for myself before I take anyones advice. However, I was unable to experience any of the goods and services that were offered because of horrible phone etiquette, lack of basic math skills, little knowledge on pricing and overall rude behavior. Previous to this encounter, I was thoroughly impressed with the overall vision and mission of this salon and while I am sad that I did not get to contribute to this awesome black-owned business, I am disappointed in the unprofessionalism. Though knowing your craft is important, basic math skills and learning how to use a hold button before you proceed to talk about potential clientele is paramount. I would suggest employing professionals or educating the current staff before many others are turned off.

I finally found a great healthy hair salon for my daughter! We have had issues with other salons because they did not know how to properly style natural hair. This salon is the BEST at natural hair and had my daughter looking beautiful for her job interview. Once my wife saw my daughters hair she also became a loyal client. I can tell that both of their hair is more fuller since going and I no longer have to hear her complain about not finding "good natural hair salons in Georgia." Thanks Unique Creations Hair Studio!

My daughter got $35 hair braided by Dominique. Wasnt satisfied with finish work. Hair wasnt braided to the ends and braids were really frizzy....4 braids were messed up ( with hair left out/frizzy) and receptionist joked and said how long you think hair style will last? Seem like hairstylist are children or straight out of high school. Gave them there money and left. Not again. I just moved to the area. I take a drive to Atlanta next time or any place but this one. The price shouldve been $15-20 bucks...pics on yelp.

My stylist, LaShawn has done an excellent job when working on my hair. I have never had to wait, she listens to my concerns and is professional at all time. I am very particular about who works with my hair and I am glad to have found someone I trust. The only thing I would mention is First impressions comes from the minute your phone gets answered. Being courteous and professional goes a long way and knowing how to speak with your current and potential future customers means either future growth - or not.
