STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. THEY ARE EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL AND RUDE AF. If I could give them -10 stars, I would. My wedding was this past Saturday (2/4) and I booked Emily J to do my mother, my mother in law, and my sister in laws hair and make up. I was really horrified when I heard how badly they were treated. First of all, I called about 5 times to confirm my appointments and to make sure that they would have hair extensions available for the mothers. Each time they confirmed the time (12:00pm) and that they had hair extensions they could use for extra charge. The day before the appointment, I get a confirmation call from them and tell me theyll see my guests at 1:00pm. When I corrected them, they just said "No, Im sorry, its at 1:00pm.".. Umm, okay. We had already planned a schedule for the day and we had to shuffle around transportation and everything because their incompetent receptionists and system had changed the time on us. Second of all, when they arrived, they made my sister in law wait 30 minutes when they told her it would only be 5 minutes. Do they not understand that on a wedding day, everything is time sensitive? She had to leave because she obviously had other things to do. When the mothers arrived, they told them that they didnt have any hair extensions and that they had to go out to buy them. ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME?? They have signs in the salon to ask for extensions because they have them available!!! NOT ONLY THAT, I CALLED TO CONFIRM!!! It was too late to find and book another salon, so they had to go and get their extensions, and Emily J had the audacity to charge them extra for them. My mother in law asked the make up artist to do her make up very lightly, but the lady completely ignored her multiple requests and just kept putting on more and more make up. When we met at the hotel, she was asking how she could remove some of the make up. I cant say this enough. THEY ARE UTTERLY UNPROFESSIONAL AND RUDE. I told everyone I know, and my mother told all of her friends to NEVER, NEVER set foot in this salon.

From beginning to end, what a sensory experience! I work nearby and noticed that a new salon sign was up. I could not tell from the street whether it was open or not, but ventured to see and perhaps get a hair cut. From the moment I walked in, I could not believe how large and luxurious the salon looked. Visually, it took a little getting used to as the glasses and mirrors create a sort of a stunning, optical illusion as to whether you are looking at reflections or not. You will have to see it for yourself to know what I mean. Then comes the experience of getting your hair washed. In most cases, you would not think much of getting your hair shampoo-ed as anything special, but the experience I had was as if I had a shiatsu massage of the scalp. It was unbelievable. Next, the stylist I had was skilled with scissors as I have not seen in any salon before. As she rotated between combing and cutting my hair, the scissors seemed to retract back and forth between her fingers fluidly. Also my hair seem to just fall off without a touch or a sound. Finally, nevermind the great styling, but to my suprise the total experience including tip was less than what I pay for just a simple cut at my usual salon. What an experience and find here in Duluth without even going to Buckhead!

Alright, listen up people. This place is simply outstanding. They recently switched to an AVEDA Concept Salon, using strictly, all natural AVEDA products. Now, before this new transition happened, I was a "regular" at the salon. I usually went every month or two to get my hair cut. But after they switched to AVEDA products, I even love it more. I switched my regular Pantene Shampoo to AVEDAs Rosemary Mint Shampoo and conditioner, thanks to Emily J. I also had acne-prone skin, and because of Emilys suggestion, I decided to purchase a skin care line-up from here. My acne is now almost gone. Its not just about the products. Their service is outstanding. They just recently started to do this really cool Aroma Therapy that uses natural oils right before my cut. They also gave me a really refreshing head massage! Emily is the sweetest and the best stylist I had in my life. I am never ever disappointed. Whatever style haircut I get, I always leave satisfied. You seriously cannot go wrong here. Im extremely positive that your request will be fulfilled. Emily and her staff is amazing. Their products are amazing. The experience is amazing.

Beware, they offer money off if you give them 5 stars on Google or Yelp before you leave the salon. Thinking they were a really great salon and great stylist by the number of 5 star reviews, I went there to see Shann who practically ruined my hair. It cost $200 to get a mono tone dried out frizzy look and the absolutely hideous hair cut that was $50 of the $200! I came in for a consult but didnt think I was getting it done then. He said so are you ready and I questioned if he had the time to do it and he said yes. Then another girl came over and told him he needed to check his book because he was over booked. He rushed me through and pawned me off on someone else. It was so awful I went to another salon on Monday and had it completely redone for another $200 but it was worth every penny. On the haircut, two different stylist looked at it and said it was really "jacked up" and had to cut a lot off to look halfway good but it still couldnt be fixed because I would have had to have cut off most of the length. Dont waste you money! Look elsewhere!

I had my haircut by a young man, sorry I cant remember his name!! He did a good job & it was more affordable than my usual salon. It did seem to take a lot longer than w/ my usual stylist. I showed him a picture of my last cut as an example but, he didnt get it as short as I wanted. I think he was nervous about cutting it too short or something because I kept telling him to go a bit shorter but, we never got quite there. He was very nice & I was happy w/ the cut for the price I paid!! On a side note, the salon has a weird smell but, I will say I have a very sensitive nose.

Beautiful on the inside, but the service was not very good. The GUY that worked on me didnt speak English much at all, and told me that my hair looked bad in the color I had it and proceeded to try to pick a color for me. The manager had to come out and tell him to let ME choose a color. Im not going to go back because for $70, I could do all of the coloring myself, and have a better time somewhere else.

Im very satisfied with my new haircut and style I had from Emily J. Soo took good care of me and suggested me a better style that fits my look. She is really nice and knowledgeable of hair health and styling. I could tell that she is very experienced and skilled from the way she handled customers with different needs. I would definitely go back whenever I want to change my hairstyle.
