Update: Also, Mrs. Burroughs, I could file a complaint against you for throwing out baseless allegations towards me as a customer. Implying in your response that I somehow came to your salon with an intention to "get cheap service" or "take advantage of" your salon or that "businesses need to beware". How disgusting! As a respectful business owner, all you had to say was "sorry if you misunderstood the information that was given to you, but this is what the charges are." When I am standing at the checkout and genuinely surprised at the price you are telling me, it is down right despicable that the first thing you rudely say is "I was there when she spoke to you on the phone" or "thats not a $20 blowout" looking at my hair. I would suggest getting some training in ethics before trying to run a business. Customers arent out to get you. And its unlawful to make allegations that you have misconstrued in your head. What a shame! Rude. Unprofessional. Disrespectful owner. Charged me $40 after initially quoting $25. Its not about what you charge, but the way you treat your customers! Absolutely negated any experience I had from my stylist. To elaborate, I had specifically called the salon to ask their rates for a hair wash and blowout. I was told that the charges vary based on stylist. For a beginner stylist, the lady (Samantha) told me that the charges are $25. I specifically told her the length of my hair and thickness. She told me that the price was a fixed rate depending solely on the stylist I choose. I told her to book me with a beginner stylist (Robert). After my service was finished, I encounter the owner Tara (I believe) at the front desk and she says the charges are $40 ($32 after a first time discount). I told her about the specific conversation I had when booking the appointment. She was extremely rude and said "thats not a $20 blowout" after looking at my hair. She proceeded to dismiss anything I was saying regarding the phone conversation I had about the rates. Again, it doesnt matter what you charge, but at least dont misinform the customers and treat them rudely for a mistake on your teams end. And not even acknowledge this. Despite my good experience with my stylist, I am never returning. Let alone recommending this place to anyone else.

Just got back from my third visit with Tara, and yet again she has made me look and feel fabulous! Every time I come home with a fresh new look that I can easily style and manage myself. She is very realistic about what to do with your hair and is able to understand what you want, even when youre not quite sure yourself! The first time I called I was new to the area and didnt know where to go to get a haircut. There are the big chain salons but their prices are outrageous and I just wasnt sure if I was going to get great service. When I called Taras salon the girl who answered the phone went over the prices and gave me a worst case scenario price. When I arrived I discussed elaborately with Tara what I wanted and when she was done I looked fabulous. Even better: when I went to check out, it turned out she staid well within the budget! She also advised me on some great products, but she didnt push them on me, like some other salons have done in the past. I have been back twice since then and both times Tara has not disappointed me! I tend to ask for total transformations, and Tara keeps my hair looking beautiful and healthy. The budget is very reasonable and she never rushes the cut or color. All in all a great experience. Just wish my hair grew faster so I would have an excuse to come in more often...

A little while ago I went to Tara Burroughs Salon and got a haircut and some front highlights from Whitney. I have thick long curley hair and have had several bad hair cutting experiences with stylists that dont know how to properly cut my curley hair. So I am always a little nervous when going to see a new hairdresser. But Whitney and Tara gave very good customer service, There was not a long wait, and they even had a discount for new customers. Whitney suggested some options with me for the cut and the colors for the streaks. So I knew exactly what she was going to do before we even started. It was a very comfortable and clean atmosphere. At the end of my appointment I was very happy with the results and my hair looked awesome. My boyfriend was very surprised and loved the new do. I would highly recommend this salon to anyone that needs a great hair cutting and styling experience.

First off let me start by saying that the hour and a half commute through the lovely Atlanta traffic is well worth it! Ive been going to Tara Burroughs Salon for a little over a year. Tara has cut and colored my hair every time except once. From the flawless cut to the exquisite color, Tara truly is a master of her craft. The other time Tara was out and I decided to let Whitney cut and color my hair. Whitneys attention to detail and extreme professionalism did not go unnoticed and I loved the cut! I even let Laura wax my eyebrows a few times. And might I add there was no redness or irritation (Which truly is amazing considering the extreme sensitivity of my skin). I would recommend this salon to anyone who really cares about their appearance! Tara Burroughs salon truly is a cut above the rest in the Atalanta area! Thanks and see you soon ladies!

I moved from Florida back to Georgia 2 years ago and had visited several salons in the area, trying to find the right person to do my hair. I had used the same girl back in Florida for the 6 years that I lived there, so finding a new stylist was scary to me. After trying different salons and not getting exactly the style or color that I wanted, I decided to try Tara Burroughs Salon. Fortunately for me, I was paired up with Liz and new right away that this place would be the right fit. She was very personable, listened to my thoughts and concerns, and gave me the best color, cut, and style that Ive had in a long time!!! I have since moved further away from the salon, but based on my first experience there, it will definitely be worth the 45 minute drive to go back! I cant wait! :)

So Glad I found this Salon. As a lot of guys may do I was jumping from drive thru salons like great clips every time I need a cut and it never turned out how I wanted. Then I took my 5 year old daughter in to get her hair cut and they were so good I thought Id go in for a cut of myself. From moment I got there, Robert was very inquisitive to make sure he knew exactly what I wanted. In the end he came up with something I wouldnt have been able to describe myself yet was exactly what I wanted. I was about to just go back to a shaved head but so glad I tried Tara Burroughs first. Robert was awesome and Ill be going back as long as I see. Plus got all this extra service for just couple dollars more than what I thought was cheap spot like great clips. Highly Recommend!
