I tried to give no stars but it would not let me post! My experience was awful! I booked through available movers online who I guess subcontracts. I had a 700 sq ft one bedroom apartment. I moved a bed, chair, desk, coffee table, behind sofa table, pub table with around 30 boxes. For some reason they calculated this as 300 cubic feet or $1700. Some movers called the day before they were scheduled to arrive and said they would be there in one hour! They were angry when I told them they needed to come the next day. So the next day some guy in a Enterprise rent a truck shows up and says he is my mover. They were subcontracted thru David And Goliath moving and storage out of GA. It took them nearly 4 hours to move my small apartment. They they said after it was all loaded that it would be $500 extra since I went over. Then they added an additional $270 for gas that was not figured into the prior estimate. Then it took a week to deliver. The day prior a man named Alex from David and Goliath called and said they miscalculated gas and it would be $90 extra and they wouldnt deliver unless I paid. The next day they were angry again that they could not come before noon, even though I had told them I couldnt get into the apartment until after noon. They arrived and were very rude saying they could not find the back door of the building and forced me to walk two blocks to find them and show them how to turn right and right again to be at the back of the apartment. Then Alex called back saying if I didnt pay the extra $90 he was not allowing the men to unload the truck and they were going to take it to storage! I ended up paying the money and today I checked my account and the company the did the subcontracting-available movers-had initially told me I need to put down 20% of the estimate to hold the appointment. That was 354. Somehow they went back into my credit card and gave the 354 back to me to then debit $541. So it was not a 20% down to hold the reservation, it as a we also get pain 20% to make this awful appointment. Available movers somehow had great reviews online which is why I went with them, not knowing they would subcontract to the worst movers in Georgia! When they arrived and loaded my stuff and then charged me extra, I looked and apparently this happens a lot to other reviewers. And the two guys who unloaded my truck said every time they work for this company, people who booked are forced to pay more. Also Alex when he called back to tell me to pay the money or put my stuff in storage was so rude. He refused to tell me who he actually worked for, would not let me talk to a manager and hung up on me. Please do yourself a favor and do NOT book through these people. I moved from NC to FL for a job, I am a single lady and I got taken advantage of horribly. Go ahead and pay more at the upfront to be treated like a human being and to avoid this nightmare.

I booked my move through Coast to Coast Moving in Deerfield Beach, FL and came to find they are a broker and they book moves for David and Goliath. I only know this because this is the company that endorsed our check due at pick up. Coast to Coast and David and Goliath are both scams. They have had my furniture for 3 weeks now- refer to the following review I posted for Coast to Coast--- SCAM ALERT! I posted the following review on July 28, 2017 and shortly after, I received a call offering to pay me $300 to take it down. I recorded this call to keep for records. Since I deleted my review for $300 that I never received I have continued to face countless issues with this BROKER. They are not a moving company, they book your move, take your money, and after that they don’t care because they are not even the company that moves your stuff. Our check due at pickup was endorsed by David and Goliath Moving so I believe that is the company that still has my furniture. My stuff was picked up in Pittsburgh, PA on July 26, 2017 and it was supposed to be moved to St Petersburg, FL by Sunday, July 30, 2017. For whatever reason my stuff has sat in Chicago, IL since they picked it up. I believe it was stolen. The Department of Transportation can take action after 21 days which will be this Wednesday, Thank God!!! If you made the mistake of using this company and write a review and they call to pay you to take it down- don’t believe that either. “DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! My stuff was picked up in Pennsylvania Wednesday, July 26. I was told I would have it this weekend Sunday at the latest. Coast to Coast isnt even the actual moving company so they really know nothing. They are just a broker. My stuff is sitting in a warehouse in Chicago supposedly, they may have stole it, not sure. This is a scam. I was moving from PA to FL so why its in Chicago who the hell knows. I booked with Dustin who claimed to be the manager, I have his cell and direct line and now he pretends it is not him.. like WHAT how stupid could someone be. On top of possibly getting my stuff stolen, they added $700 when they picked up my stuff which all goes back to Dustin being a lying scam artist. Unless you enjoy everything you own stolen and ripped off, I would not recommend this scam of a company.”

Our move was in March and we still have missing and damaged items. David and Goliath do not respond to my e mails and are never available to take calls. Over a month ago I was told someone would contact me within 24 hours. 4 weeks later and no contact. Our belongings were delivered at 10:30 pm They were basically thrown out of the truck. We told the driver of the items we knew were missing. My husbands table saw our queen mattress sett and one twin set. The bed we did receive was filthy with dirt and grease. It was almost brand new and looks like it came from the dump. one dresser was dropped on its top and destroyed. We are missing at least 25 big items and so many are damaged. Our dining room table has large chunks out of it and we are missing the bench completely. There are many more examples. I am seeking legal advice. MY ADVICE IS TO RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN FROM THIS COMPANY OR ANY COMPANY THAT SUB CONTRACTS TO THEM. We are missing all the cords, remotes and stands for 3 flat screen TV. I do not believe the positive reviews because this experience was so disturbing In order to protect ;yourself I have some advice: When moving use a known mover who comes to your house and gives you a firm price. Take pictures of all items as they go on the truck. Never pay the whole amount in advance. check off each item when it is delivered even if the driver pressures you that he has another load to deliver. Do not let unknown movers talk to you and make promises they will not keep. Demand to see the weight tickets before your truck is loaded and after it is full of your things. At this point I would advise Getting a U Haul and employing some locals to pack and load for you. You will save thousands. this moved cost us over $8,000.00 and we have so many missing and damaged items we could have sold our things and bought new. We were moving a small two bedroom home, and had already taken two u haul trailer and trucks full. Our kitchen was already gone and a lot of other very special items. DO NOT USE DAVID AND GOLIATH OUT OF GEORGIA
