AS much as I would like to give this location 5 stars I cant do it because of simple customer service errors. Twice now I have been allowed to workout and none of the employees who take my key card and scan me in made me aware that my account was still pending a payment. So Twice now, I have had to explain how unprofessional it is for planet fitness (not to mention, a little embarrassing for me the customer) to overlook these notices and allow me to workout and never bringing it to my attention that they are having problems charging my card. Im not looking for a free place to sweat, I just want to workout without spending more than $20 to do so. The guy who signed me up never said that prepaid cards were not allowed as a form of payment so for 2 months I have been thinking Im making payments when in all actuality nothing has been resolved. Communication is very important in everything. People dont read, not even me most of the time. As a employee bringing ppl into membership type of business, it is your responsibility to hit all areas of your sign up process when taking in new members. I am coming from LA Fitness and changing my membership so I am unfamiliar with your rules and policies, so take the time to explain that to me at my initial sign in. When you fail to do that and issues like this come up, whos fault is it for miscommunication? The company/Business/Gym! This new facility on HWY 85 needs better training of its employees and its regular sales associates need to be able to speak up when they notice discrepancies on an account and not just the manager on duty stop me to explain to me how they should have said something to me. Clean. Positive environment. But needs to work on its customer service and client relations. No one should have to experience this. It would be a different story if I were made aware from sign up that my prepaid card would not be accepted. I will take responsibility for not reading whatever notices that were present, however, if you take my info hand me a key card and tell me Im good, what am I suppose to think when you say we dont accept prepaid cards? What type of system are you running on that cant recognize a prepaid bank routing number verses a actual big bank routing number?

I have to say,, when it comes to working out in a gym,, im very picky. The #1 thing I always look for is the cleanliness of the gym. The #2 thing I always look for is the hours and days of operation. The #3 thing I always look for is the customer service of the staff,, and the final thing I always look for is the types of equipment they have to offer. I was in the United States Marine Corps for 8 years and have been to several gyms all over the world,, if you want a good workout in a peaceful environment, this is the place for you. Even though im use to the hardcore gyms where people get pumped up and shout ,, I would still recommend Planet Fitness,, especially this location in Riverdale. I was a member a couple of years ago at the Homestead , Florida location but my membership had expired. I just recently moved here 1 year ago and decided to join La Fitness,, then YouFit. La Fitness had bad customer customer and the place is filthy,, also the hours didnt work for me after I decided to change jobs,, then I decided to join YouFit in Riverdale once they had open,, same problem. They have poor customer service,, the place is nasty,, also the next nearest YouFit was like 40 minutes away. I like to try different locations sometimes and Im not driving 40 minutes just to do that. Now,, you have 3 Planet Fitness within 10 miles,, and thats great. I decided to come back to Planet Fitness once I heard there was a new location opening up. This location in Riverdale is much better than the one I stay close to in Jonesboro. So overall,, I would recommend this Riverdale location to anyone who wants to workout in a clean and peaceful atmosphere with a staff with great customer service,

I wish I can give it a -5 stars for being such a horrible experience. First of all, everybody who works there at the front desk give you wrong information, not knowing what they are talking about. Rude AF. Then you call Corporate and Corporate tells you that they cannot do anything about your payment or the account because these gyms are personal owner franchises, so I asked corporate what can they do, and they said NOTHING. They went ahead and got my card information just so they can have it on file and told me they were not going to charge me any money. I went ahead and made a payment for the month of may 2017 before my due date and then took it out of my card and no records of them taking my payment but it was deducted from my bank. Some dude named John said I didnt make a payment, and that I cannot transfer my account to no other gym because the payment has go to through when I was over charged 40.00 from my bank and card. I should be 4 months ahead and now I have to wait 72 hours for me to be able to transfer my account to another gym. LOOK EVERYBODY DO NOT use this gym at all if you are reading this and under no circumstances give these people your card information at all. They are not well trained and they are super rude and the ones who try to help that are not rude , they are just DUMB AS HELL.

I NEVER USED THIS MEMBERSHIP AT ALL! NOT EVEN ONCE CHECK MY KEY CARD AND YOU WILL SEE. I came in 4 Months ago to cancel a No Contract membership and I was told that I could not cancel my account. The only thing I could do was update my bank account information. Now the account is in collections and the billing department couldnt do anything about it. I called and spoke with the manager John and he indicated that I would have to pay the full amount to reinstate or cancel the membership. He should have said since you never used the membership we can cancel the previous one at no cost to you and start a new one if you like or just remove that bill from the system since I never used any piece of equipment. You all kept hitting my bank account when I asked to cancel the membership and was unsuccessful 4 months ago. I would like to get another membership but I shouldnt have to pay for a service that I didnt use no had a contract with from the start.

Im a beginner at gym workouts! Im a member of the Riverdale location and I was very comfortable at my first visit! John greeted me at the entrance got me set up gave me a tour and explained everything about the workout rooms and equipment! Theres plenty of equipment so theres no waiting to use! The lockeroom is clean, well lit and private! Advised of the class schedules set me up with an complimentary water massage which was great, explained the upgrade policy and told me he was available to answer anymore questions I may have! Im glad theres a location in my neighborhood, the gym is five minutes from my home and right across the street from my job! The convenience of the location fits my lifestyle!
