I moved my things into storage a couple months ago as I prepare to join the Army in October. Six weeks ago, my debit card was stolen. I updated ALL my automatic payments, including my storage unit rent by emailing in a new autopay consent form to SmartStop. The payment was run on April 1 without issue. I am working at a bar right now to save money. I typically dont get home until 3 or 4 in the morning. Nonetheless, when my storage facility called me at 8:44AM this morning, I answered. The representative informed me that my payment had been declined. I explained to her that I had updated my information last month and asked which card she had tried. This is when her attitude began. Obviously, she didnt know how to tell which card she had run because she refused to answer the question at first, simply repeating that my payment was rejected. I wanted to get off the phone as soon as possible, so I offered her the new card number. I guess it finally sunk in that I had updated the information (or maybe someone in the office overheard her being rude to me and decided to help her out), but she then put me on hold as she combed through the emails, where of course, she found my updated information. She confirmed the last 4 digits on the new credit card, and hung up. No apologies for the confusion (or her attitude), or even a simple "thank you." This experience was very disappointing because when I first signed my lease and moved into my storage unit, the staff was very friendly and helpful. I dont know if this lady was in training or just having a bad day, but that sort of lazy and unapologetic customer service is unacceptable.

The only reason I LOVE this place is because of VERONICA!!! I have had nothing but ongoing problems and she is the only one who cares enough to try and get the problem resolved. She can only do so much - it is up to the Area Mgr to follow through. I have had a horrible mold problem in my unit which is supposed to be climate controlled - sent several emails to Sergio but he never gave me the courtesy of a reply. So every time I would go into the office to complain, Veronica was there to help - she was consistent in being extremely understanding and helpful, filing incident reports and offering any help possible. In all the years I have rented at this facility Veronica is the only employee who really cares - she is a rare breed indeed and a very kind, gracious lady. You need more employees like her!!! She needs do to be elevated to MANAGER, ASAP!!

This Company needs to STOP what they are doing and give Veronica a RAISE!!! ;-) I am a very busy Physical Therapist and mother of 4. My time is limited! Every time I speak with Veronica on the phone or come into your office, Veronica is FRIENDLY, KNOWLEDGEABLE, PROFESSIONAL, & COURTEOUS...She is a RAY OF SUNSHINE!!! It is very difficult in todays world to find good employees. Veronica is truly a good one, the BEST!!! I hope that you do everything in your power to keep her happy so that I can see her smiling face every time I venture that way!! She should actually be "The Face" representing your Company~Commercials, Billboards etc...Mean It!!!

Veronica was very helpful in assisting me with choosing a storage unit. She made the stress of moving more relaxing. She was courteous, knowledgeable and fast. She seemed to know what I needed and gave me great suggestions on which unit best fit my needs. Her customer service was unmatched! The facility is air conditioned, very very clean and well maintained. Its easily accessible for getting to my unit and for the moving trucks to load/unload.. Overall, Id say my experience was 5 stars!! Thanks Veronica for everything.

I came to the Extra Space in Sandy Springs after a stressful day of moving. Raven, who was filling in for the regular workers, went out of her way to help me get my rental space. She provided me with exceptional customer service and made the process easy and smooth. Im grateful for her hard work to make the last portion of my move a positive experience!
