First of all i dont know much about cars, so when i saw the $899 transmission rebuild posted by this company i thought it was a good deal. But when $899 went to $2500 after my car was taken apart i realized i had been a fool, but after educating myself by calling other shops i realized theres no such thing as a $899 transmission rebuild here or anywhere else. Several other shops in woodstock and marietta told me this is an old game called "The bait and switch". Most shops said the price should be right around $1800. After threatening to tow my car out of there the $2500 dollar price surprisingly came down to $1800. I dont mind paying a fair price for a transmission, but almost triple the price originally quoted? and not to mention at least 700.00 dollars more than any other shop in the area? shame on you craig smith for what you tried to do.

Terrible experience! We had a Ford Mustang transmission rebuilt at Ace Transmissions in Woodstock ,Ga . It cost $2000 not $888. Six months later, it had to be towed in for a "defect" as we were told concerning the transmission. This was under the warranty but it took 3 weeks to repair. We were told that they had to pay for labor and basically put us behind everyone else. Six months after the 2nd repair, we towed it to an another transmission shop and had another $2000 transmission rebuilt. We were told it was not done right the first time. We called the owne ofAce Transmissions and we were told it was out of warranty and Ace would not cover the cost. I just wish I had read the reviews before going to Ace Transmissions in Woodstock, Ga. It pays to read about the experiences other people had at Ace Transmissions.

Very dissatisfied! Poor customer service. Had car for 3 weeks and did a poor job. Quote for 888 is a joke. More like 1600-2500. Costs me 400 dollars to keep a rental car for 30 days when they said it would be 3days. Then on top of that they did a poor job. After threatening to tow my car out of there they threw my transmission together in a couple hrs and didnt do it right. They caused further damage to my power steering that went out because metal pipes were not bolted back down properly or at all, cost again another 375.00 at Precision auto to fix their bad work. I allowed them to tow my car from a reputable shop Mr. Transmission due to the price they lied about!. Oh and the tow is not free! Save the headache and cash. Go somewhere you know or ask around!

I own a wrecker company located in Acworth, Ga and I have had all of my personal cars worked on in here. The first one was my 2008 chevrolet taho and they noticed the last person I took it too had actually busted the case, not naming any names but that shop is located on cobb pkwy, one of the major transmission chains. Anyways they had to replace the case and didnt even charge me for it since they had one laying in the back!!!! This last week I took my 1997 ford taurus there and the repaired it for the $888. They said it would be $888 if it did not need any hard parts and luckily for me it didnt! $888 and I was out the door with a brand new rebuilt transmission, cant beat the prices these guys give! I will never bring my cars anywhere else!!

Great mechanic ask for Craig, was skeptical because of all the work Ive had done on my transmission from various shops like AMCO on Cobb parkway, but after talking to Craig and his son Robby I felt at ease, they knew exactly what was wrong and fixed the problem. It took me a long time to decided on where to take my Jeep but I am so glad I took my jeep here it was worth the money. So if you are using the internet like I did to find someone to work on you cars transmission I would honestly give Craig a call. He may in fact do other car repairs, but it is always best to ask, but if your transmission is having problems this is the guy to call hands down.....

This is the most crooked auto repair Ive ever encountered and considering I have a fleet of 20 vehicles thats saying something. We took a van in for a rebuilt transmission. Cost of $1800. It went bad within a week, then after the second repair it went bad within a 2 weeks, the third repair, it didnt make it back to the office without slipping and not going into gear. We have not had use of this vehicle for several months and are now going to small claims court. You can file a claim online with the Cherokee County Small claims court. This man, Craig R. Smith needs to be stopped.

Ace Transmission has won my business after being ran around by aamco and quoted an extremely high rebuild price. I called around and was able to find these guys they not only quoted me $380 less they also explained to me what was the initial causes and what I could do in the future to prevent these problems from happening again. These are the kind of people a customer should look for !! Ones who treat the smallest repair the same as the biggest and not just throwing a price out there telling the customer to take it or leave it.. Thanks Again Ace !!

After a stranger recommended Ace Transmission to me at a gas station. I took my 2007 Chevy Truck to Ace Transmission for water pump and several other services, was quoted the lowest price in town. They had my truck for one full day and I returned the very next morning to pick it up. QUICK, great customer service, friendly atompshere and most of all GREAT PRICES. I highly recommend Ace Transmissions & Auto Repair as well. Next my wifes 06 Explorer due for a Tranny. Wouldnt take anything anywhere else!!!!

A huge thank you to Craig Smith and the guys at Ace transmission. My car wouldnt come out of gear the Friday before the holiday weekend. I had my car towed to Ace Transmission hoping they could get to it by the Tuesday after the holiday. Craig looked under the hood and immediately saw the problem, a broken shift cable. Even having to order the part Ace transmission had my car ready for pick up Wednesday morning! And they didnt charge me an arm and a leg! Thank you Ace Transmission!

Worst shop please just dont stop by here and the $888 advertised price its a total bs. And after reading all these reviews I see that Im not alone and why is it that on most of these I see that either you dont remember the customer or perhaps the customer has you confused with another shop, really? Thats the best excuse u can think of? Please people take your vehicles to another shop dont let these place rob you...

I have had many vehicles worked on at ACE Transmission through the years. I have always been more than satisfied. ACE has fixed everything from transmissions to brakes, and we plan to bring any and all business to them for years to come.
