I know that this is a novella, but please take the time to read it through. I feel that this company jeopardized the safety of my family. I took my wifes car to Santos because of the 5* rating it received through Googles search. The car was shaking through turns and while breaking. This has been BY FAR the worst experience Ive ever had with an auto shop. First, they give me a quote of x$. When I arrived to pick the vehicle up the price had shot up $217.00 from their quote. I inquired about why I was told a different price on the phone after I specifically asked the question "and how much will this be for parts and labor". Their explanation for this discrepancy was a "bad phone connection". When I asked for a time break-out for the provided services they told me that they spent 1 hour replacing the sway bar links and 2.5 hours changing the rear breaks and drums. 2.5 hours @ $90.00 an hour... for rear breaks. However, with an air of servitude, I was informed that they did not charge me for the time it took to clear the "Check Engine" code from the computer... (an insanely tedious 15 second job). Frustrated, I cut the check and started heading home in her car. I started to break at the edge of their parking lot in order to turn onto the main highway and had to put my foot all the way to the floor to get it to stop. I made it across the street and pulled over to the side in order to pump the breaks to get pressure back. I was able to get a ~little~ pressure, but they still felt soft. I drove it home and told my wife to drop it back off at Santos the next day and to tell them that the breaks were very soft. When she had explained the situation, the mechanics told her that they would not have a chance to work on it that day, and to drive it home... but to "take it easy". We were able to get the car back to them the following day and they gave us a loaner (circa 1999 Toyota Carola with body paint in a splendid variety of tints of red) and they sent us on our way with a promise to fix the car, blaming the low breaking pressure on the new pads they had installed... "Manufacturers defect". All of this brings us to today; 4 days later. My wife just called me in tears. She went today to pick up her car and the breaks were still wrong; her foot was almost to the floor board as she tried to break at the edge of their parking lot. She immediately complained only to be ridiculed through condescension and extremely unprofessional behavior. The mechanics told her that they test drove it for 15 miles (which could mean lots of breaking, or just one stop at the end of the 15 miles trip; the actual mileage is completely meaningless) to verify that the breaks were fine, and that they were standing by that assessment. They then proceeded to accelerate back and fourth in her car, slamming the breaks and skidding in both directions to try to prove their point; Just because your belt goes through the loops doesnt mean its tight enough to hold your pants up; but you can sense when something isnt right. If you are thinking about taking your car to Santos Auto Services for repairs, I would advise against it. The parking lot is full of cars, which at first glance makes you think that they are reliable; when it takes 2.5 hours for professional mechanics to change rear breaks theres bound to be some back-up. In my personal opinion, because of location (Wyoming, OH is notoriously wealthy) Santos feel that they can take advantage of individuals who may not feel confident asking questions and who have enough money to not really know if they are being taken for a fool.

Brought my car in for the 3rd time in less than a month. Was told I needed things that I was told I didnt need 2 weeks prior. When questioned the guy in the phone became defensive and said I wasnt understanding what he was saying. I hate I have to take my business elsewhere because Mr. Santos is so nice when I come and I was referred by two people but Id rather pay someone else who can talk to me like a normal person. So unfortunate!!

Excellent Service. On time, accurate, well priced. They took time to explain the diagnostic procedure and then the repair options over the phone even though I was a first time customer. You can tell they care about you.

I think the best review is that while I have had several cars in the last 30 years, I have only and always taken them to Santos for service. Both their service of cars and customer service are always top-notch.
