Hands down great service! Woodridge, IL. For the past 5 years Ive had several instances of my household drain to the city backing up. Woke up to water in my basement last Saturday and decided it was the last time I was going to deal with it. I contacted 5 different plumbing services and only Roto Rooter was able to dispatch a technician to my residence that day. I explained the situation to the operator as well as the history, the field supervisor Mark Dennis arrived within an hour of my call. He was very courteous and knowledgable about the area which helped diagnose the issue quickly. That morning he was able to clear the line allowing the water to drain as well as inspect the drain tile from the clean out to the city sewer with a camera. He showed me where the pipe was cracked due to root infiltration and offered a short term fix as well as a long term solution. We opted with the long term option of having the pipe in the front yard replaced and a 6" clean out installed. The service was scheduled for 8:00 am Monday morning. The crew arrived on Monday began digging and the job was completed by 12:00 noon. Ive had several other services performed at our house from carpenters to electricians, the service and attention to detail provided by Mark and Roto Rooter were the absolute best Ive ever received. Thank you!

The handle from the main water valve broke and called them to fix it. It involved undoing a threaded pipe and replacing a valve (that i already bought). Water was already off. They showed up 3 hours later to give me a quote. It was $1500!!!! Thats ridiculous! I understand its a Saturday but holy cow thats a lot. Called a 2nd plumber, they quoted (over the phone mind you) $693. Called a 3rd one, quoted me $395 but only for Sunday morning. Finally tried my luck with a local small business plumber at 7PM and they quoted me $180 (over the phone) Guy was here at 8, went to store, bought parts, came back at 8:30. Took him 20 minutes to replace it. What really makes me mad is the fact that the Roto Rooter phone agent told me they cant quote over the phone, but when i asked the plumber that came in, he said $1500 is book price, aka same price for all main valve replacements. I wouldnt have even called them to come in at all if i knew the cost ahead of time. Thanks for wasting 3 hours of my life waiting for that quote.

Roto-Rooter Mike (#9113) Plumber, Chicago, Illinois We needed to have a portion of our sewer line replaced due to tree root damage. Mike & another technician arrived at our Brookfield, IL. home early Friday morning. Both techicians handled all the details with the tech from Julie to mark other utility locations. They also handled all local permit requirements. The work excavation was handled with minimum effect on the front lawn. The whole time we were told what was happening. I was kept informed of all work stages and able to ask questions and get the information the I wanted. The finished work was also rapidly approved and OKd by the Village of Brookfield. All work was completed by 03:00 PM with very miniaml impact to the water usage. Iwould recommend there plumbing services and not hesitate to use them again if needed

Roto-Rooter Plumbers 5/12/11 - My water bill had doubled recently and we suspected that the running toilet was the cause. I called for a Roto-Rooter plumber from the Wheaton branch. Chris a.k.a. The Roto-Rooter guy was very helpful and knowledgeable, checking out all three toilets as part of the free estimate. It turned out that only one toilet was currently leaking, another I could now see was very close, and the third had some time before it would start. I was concerned about the cost so he offered me the $40 web site coupon. There was no pressure to up sell, I really felt like Chris was on my side to save me money. It is less expensive to have all 3 toilets repaired and pay one service charge rather than to risk having to call someone out again in a few months or next year. I highly recommend Roto-Rooter!

Plumber, Addison, IL. We had a copper pipe leak problem in our basement on a Sunday afternoon. Called and Service Tech arrived within 30 minutes of phone call. He showed me the problems and made recommendations on how to fix correctly. It took him 2 hours due to how difficult it was to access the pipes next to the floor joists in the basement plus there were several elbows and T-joints involved. He charged me the flat rate, honored my coupon and gave me a gallon of drain cleaner. $440 total for a very difficult repair job but he fixed it 100% as promised. Cleaned up after the work and Technician Armisonj #601 was very friendly and cordial. Ill use them again for sure.

Our sewer backed up in the basement my husband called Roto-Rooter in the Chicago area and Eddie the technician was dispatched. He was very nice, professional and people oriented. Discussing with my husband every step of the process. Which is what sold my husband on eddies honesty and professionalism. Eddie completed part 1 of phase 2 of the project because we would need a plumber. He explained why we needed a plumber, estimated cost of the project and arranged the scheduling of the plumber and the favorable outcome.THANK YOU EDDIE!!!!!! Several times over the last few years I have used ROTO-ROOTER ( for main line flushing). ROTO-ROOTER has always been on time and as far as the work they have done has always been 100% to my satisfaction. Lenard (tech) was very polite and took his time in communicating what I needed as far as to fix my problem. I have no problem recommending ROTO- ROOTER to my family and friends. I also like the idea that they are open 24 hours a day 7 days a week. My friend told me to check out ROTO- ROOTER web site for money saving coupons. Also, no extra charge for holidays, nights and weekends. Works for me.

We called Roto-Rooter in Addison because we were remodeling our bathroom and wanted a plumber to check out the piping behind the wall to ensure that there was no leaking. It turned out there was no leak but there was some other minor work that needed to be done. Butch, our plumber, was professional, personable, and completed the work in a timely manner. There was one slight issue (that was not his fault) and he came out as soon as possible and fixed it for us. Overall we were extremely satisfied with the service and would definitely recommend him to family and friends.
