I had a plumber out who supposedly broke the clog in my drain from the laundry room to the sewer. He may have poked a small hole in it as it did not last. He told me that sometimes you have to rip the floor up and it is a major job and very expensive. I put off calling anyone until I received my income tax return for fear I would not be able to afford the fix. The water was seeping thru so I believed it was just a very bad clog so I called roto-rooter. I made an appointment for the evening when I got home from work and the service man called 3 times to keep me informed of the time he would be there in our 2 hour window. He was not really late at all. I explained what happened in the past and he thought it was a clog in the drain pipe and said he could work on it right then instead of coming back. He felt nothing was wrong under the house as there was no damage in the flooring. He did his job and wanted me to be happy that it was draining and said I could wash a load of clothes and he would wait (before he rod the pipe the sink would fill before it would empty on a mini setting.) We washed a load of clothes and watched the water go down. He showed my husband what to look for in the sewer outside for any future problem and gave us a 6 month warranty to come back if the drain clogged up again. I was very pleased and would highly recommend roto-rooter for these kind of problems.

I have had two previous great experiences with roto-rooter but after being charged over $1100 for a garbage disposal replacement and valve replacement this past Monday, I will seek plumbing elsewhere. As new home owners, we naively accepted this quote after the plumber told us it would be an all-day job and made it seem like intensive work. He was here for about an hour and we saw what he had to do. After we spoke to another plumber the next day, we realized we were over charged by about 30%. Shame on us for not quoting around and for trying to call the branch to explain our situation, which only got me more frustrated. The two star is just because the plumber did get our sink working and seemed to be a nice guy, then again I trust too much!

We are located a bit South of Manhattan, IL. We called Roto-Rooter this morning because we had some outside drainage pipes that were clogged with tree roots, causing water to back up into our sump and the pump to run continuously. To our pleased surprise, a technician (Sal) was dispatched almost immediately. He arrived within about an hour, and quickly fixed the problem for us. The technician was very knowledgeable, and explained to us how to prevent the problem from happening again. He did a great job, and we could not have been more pleased. I would highly recommend Roto Rooter for plumbing problems.

Had a clogged kitchen sink. Tried twice with different equipment to fix it on my own. Felt the clog, but just pushed it down the line. Called RR on a Monday AM. My only complaint is that they came, but later than they said they would. Frustrating, but Dan was a great technician. Evaluated the problem, explained what he was doing, and was done inside of 30 minutes. Great guy, great job, and Im grateful he could get done what I couldnt. Even got a plumbing lesson out of it. Price was steep ($400), but worth it. So (homeowning) goes.

We had a terrible plumbing problem with a clog in our main sewer line. We called the Lombard, IL location of Roto Rooter and they had someone out the next day with a camera to try to determine the problem. The plumber who came out spent 6 hours trying to resolve the problem, which was complicated and did not have a good way to access the main line. He cleared out the line completely! He kept an awesome attitude and kept trying all day. I am so happy with this service and will definitely call again if I need a plumber.

We had Roto Rooter in Lombard come out to clear a blockage in an extremely long pipe. The pipe had several bends at 90 degrees that makes it very difficult to clear. They were the first plumbers we ever used that were able to get through the entire length of the pipe. Our service man Dave did an amazing job, even checking down in the crawl space to check the layout before he began. He left the area as clean as he found it. We could not be more pleased with the service we received and would recommend them.
