I reached out to Advanced Resources based on the Yelp reviews. I was excited about working with them. Im a college graduate and have 10+ years of experience working in the corporate world. I moved to Chicago to be closer to family and chose to leave my last job. I sent my resume to Advance Resources after looking at the job postings on its website. I knew I would meet or exceed the qualifications for some of the job postings. Then I received the following email from Hollina, an Operations Coordinator. "Thank you for your interest in Advanced Resources LLC. We have reviewed your resume, and at this time, we do not have open positions which meet your qualifications and background. We will keep your resume on file and should an opportunity become available, we will contact you at that time. We wish you the best of luck in your employment endeavors." Clearly, its a generic email she copied and pasted and then sent to me. It offered no specifics about why I was not qualified. I can assure you I was more than qualified for a few of the positions. Some of the other positions I thought would provide new opportunities and challenges for me. The approach this company took was insulting and leaves a lot to be desired.

I worked one assignment with this agency with the sell of it would become perm. It didnt, contract ended. To add insult to injury Advanced Resources reported to Unemployment that I was not actively checking with them for assignments. Not only was I looking OUTSIDE of this agency, I was also contacting them weekly AND surfing the job boards on line. Long story short it took nearly 6wks to obtain my unemployment! In the process I found a perm job on my own! This is how you treat temps that work for you while in between assignments? You do NOT value the people, PERIOD! You just want a warm body to fill a chair to get your comission! It wouldnt let me post until I picked a star. -10 would be my choice!

I was referred to the agency by a previous co worker. I received a call back from an agent the same day I reached out for the first time. I was hopeful of all that I thought they could do for me but when I was told my experience didnt match up with anything that department could help me with, I emailed back a couple of days later (due to unforeseen circumstances was unavailable to reply quicker) replying yes I would like help with employment in any capacity they could help.. I never heard back from that recruiter.

I had a hard time connecting with this office. I had previously been working with a recruiter in the Northbrook office, who was fairly helpful, but was unable to connect me with positions within the downtown Chicago area. She referred me to a consultant at the downtown office, who took a week or two to contact me. After playing phone tag for another two weeks, and leaving her voice-mails letting her know when I was available, she stopped reaching out and/or returning my calls.

I signed up for this temp service a year ago. They seem to have a selected type of person to hire. I worked one job and was never called back. The agent I Was working with left the company and I guess all her clients went with her. There are too many temp services that want to help people. I guess this isnt one of them.

I was so happy that I was selected for a Temp to perm position at Northwestern. Then after a few months they ended my contract for medical reasons. With that being said, I was not selected for another contract with advanced resources.
