I don’t write reviews because most of the time they would not be very nice and we all know what Mamma says about “if you can’t say something nice…” I want to recommend Andersen Plumbing for any and all plumbing work you might need in Chicago. When our pipes froze and burst in more than one part of our house, we were in a difficult and scary situation. We had no clue about what to do about this type of problem. We had been away when it happened and forgot to shut off the water. Needless to say, when we got home, the house was a disaster. We tried calling at least five plumbers and not only were they unresponsive, but those who called us back and said they would be right there to help us never showed. Mind you we had a house full of company coming and all my girls were home (looking for their shower of course). Then we got a referral from a friend who recommended we call Andersen Plumbing & Sewer. Well, what a difference!! Not only were they courteous and professional, but they responded right away. They came to our rescue and repiped the whole house at a very fair price. We were so desperate we would have paid anything but they didnt take advantage of us. They even helped us clean up the mess. When they left, the house looked better than when they arrived! They even helped my elderly relative out to their car so they wouldnt fall on the ice!! They made us feel very comfortable and confident about their knowledge but most of all we could tell they really cared about doing a great job and keeping their customers satisfied. This kind of customer service is just unheard of these days. We will never call another plumber, ever.

We called Andersen Plumbing because it was in the neighborhood and it was a veteran owned company. From the minute Greg walked in the door, he was negative about everything. My daughter and I were in the next room while he was working and he kept sighing loudly and complaining aloud the whole time he worked. The reason I insisted we call a plumber was so I didn’t have to listen to my husband try to do the job and have to listen to his complaining and swearing. EVERYTHING about the job seemed to be a big deal. He was not pleasant at any time. Then he insisted that we needed to re-pipe from the basement to the kitchen and he would have to come back the next day to finish the job. He showed up the next day with another guy, ready to tear into my walls. When I told him that we had decided not to do the re-pipe and he could just finish the job he had started, he wasn’t happy and had no problem showing it. The re piping of the walls was not even necessary! The only thing wrong with the sink was a build-up of soot, which I’m sure they knew. I had also asked him to rod out my main line and that turned into a big deal with him as well. A total rip-off on top of very unprofessional and poor customer service. We could not wait to get these guys out of our house. We would never call or recommend Andersen Plumbing to anyone.

I have been using Anderson Plumbing Co. several years now. Since my previous plumber retired I asked if he could refer me to someone else. He told me the only person he would recommend is Jim Scoles from Anderson Plumbing . He said the man is very reputable, knows his business and does quality work! And I am glad to do business with Jim .He comes out personally to evaluate the job and advises you of your different options or solutions . Jim and his crew have repiped one of my buildings with copper pipe . I now have outstanding pressure . I have had Jim install FLOOD CONTROL systems in my properties that are high risk flood areas over the last four years. A total of six units , and I am very pleased to say "NOT A DROP OF WATER" !!! Jim is a good business man, always prompt and gets work done in a professional manner ! I would and do recommend Jim Scoles...ANDERSON PLUMBING CO......ANYTIME !!!!!

I will never call them again. I had my outside the house drain line clogged, and I called that company to help me out to clean it. They came to my place, and cleaned about 10-15 feet of pipe. At least it seemed they did clean it. I wasnt able to check it the same day, but the plumber that did it said that if it gets clogged again within reasonable time, I should call him, and hell fix that again. Of course, the very next day when I checked it, it was fully clogged again. and water was not running at all. Of course I called the company, but they said they dont take any responsibility and they dont guaranty anything, and basically in polite words told me to f/k off. I would understand if it happened after a month or two, but basically immediately after repair. No guys, thats your responsibility, and I writing to customer protection agency.

Extremely polite and professional. Was nervous given the fact I never used them before as well as being told by another company that it will cost me major money to fix the problem. Greg came in (and on time) explained the issue and gave me a couple options of what he may have to do to resolve the problem. Both quotes were way under the price given to me by the other company and alot cheaper than that other company. Of course he tried the cheapest and easiest solution and it worked! Even the second option was a reasonable price and I was willing to give Anderson plumbing my business in either case. Thank-you for the great service,explaning the process and your honesty. Anderson plumbing is my new plumber from now on. We are extremely happy and now my mother in law can use her shower again! Many thanks.

I needed help with a catch basin in my yard in Chicago. This was the first home I have ever owned in Chicago and did not know anything about these basins. The best thing about Greg is his amount of knowledge with Chicago homes. He was able to explain over the phone the reasons for the basins and the common problems associated with them. I was worried the catch basin was backing up with sewage. He explained how these basins work and explained there is no need to worry. He gave us a professional opinion and that there is no need to worry. He also discounted his normal amount for the service call as he felt our system was working just fine. Honesty and professionalism can be expected from Greg. Thank you Anderson plumbing.

I knew my water heater was on its way out as it was 14 years old and a couple months ago had a small leak when I was away from home. I searched for someone to do the job and spent a few hours making calls and getting quotes. I settled on Andersen because Greg was knowledgeable, friendly, and fairly priced. I relayed my current setup to Greg - he showed up with the perfect replacement and hauled away my old one. Even though he had to do some adaptations to my piping for the new unit, he stuck to his quote and did a great job with zero issues outside the scope of work. New heater works great. I would recommend him to anyone, and will use him going forward for as long as Im in the city.
