Do NOT come here for tailoring. I just recently had a horrendous experience here when I went in to get my bridesmaid dress tailored. I brought the dress in to have it shortened and to have it taken in about an inch because the top was too big. When I came to the store I had to get changed in what looked like a break room/kitchen which was absolutely filthy. I should have left right then, but unfortunately I didnt. The girl working took my measurements and then told me they would have to send the dress to the tailor, who does not actually work at the store. About two weeks later I hadnt heard about my dress so I called the store and they told me it had been ready a few days (you would think they would call to let me know that?). When I arrived, I tried on the dress again and the top had been taken in so far that it was about 4 inches away from being able to be zipped. Keep in mind the top was originally TOO BIG and Im pretty petite as it is so Im not sure how that dress would have fit anyone outside of maybe an elementary schooler. The staff that was working there at the time admitted that something obviously went very wrong and they would send the dress back to the tailor to let out the sides as much as possible. They were afraid the tailor had cut too much fabric and that it wouldnt be fixed so they advised me that I may end up having to speak with the owner so they could refund me for the dress. Of course I was hoping that this wouldnt be the case and it would be fixed but a week later I came to try it on and although it was better, it was still about an inch away from being able to close. The wedding is now 2 weeks away and my dress is essentially unwearable due to it not being able to close and they got rid of the fabric that was cut out of it. The girl at the desk gave me the owners contact information and I called him immediately. He informed me that alterations cannot be guaranteed and they are not responsible. I told him that his staff was well aware of the issue and asked him to please talk to them so that he could understand that this issue was not my fault or the fault of a complicated alteration request but was either because my measurements were taken incorrectly (which is possible considering this staff member is not a tailor) or something happened while the dress was at the tailor. After calling the owner and e-mailing a couple of times I finally received another response from him which was, "There will be no reimbursement. Alterations have no guarantee it will fit you. There is only so much material to work with on your dress. I talked to the alteration lady who did your dress and she told me thats why she left it a little loose the first time. You ask to be smaller again and this was the result..." This response was extremely frustrating because it didnt reflect the reality of the situation. My dress was originally too big and his response stated that my original issue was it being too small which shows he wasnt even paying attention. He also told me that I had cost HIM valuable time and money with this situation which is completely absurd. I had to go to this store about 6 times to try to rectify this issue and now I have an unwearable dress that cost $200. The owner and staff never apologized and refuse to reimburse me. Overall this was a really terrible experience, terrible dress alteration and terrible customer service. Even though this situation was specific to tailoring, I recommend avoiding this place for all services because of the way this was handled.

Initially I though Chicago green cleaners was great since they were willing to clean a couture shirt. After using them a few more times they shrunk to the point of ruin 2 favorite sweaters and a brand new button down. I called to tell the clerk she was rude and didnt care. Very upsetting. Not worth the extravagant expense of going to this place.

I have gone to several dry cleaners trying to find someone who has great customer service, can truly clean my clothes well and have a fast turnaround. Chicago green dry cleaners have been able to meet our expectations, they even drop and pick up my clothes. What more can you ask for?!
