Ive been taking my car here for quite some time. Kim, the owner is fabulous. Although he isnt the most social person, he truly is an expert at what he does. He works here with his son and while it is only the two of them, they get the job done. Here you pay for top quality. I can trust Kim to the fullest. I cant say that about too many mechanics, and Ive been to my share of mechanics. I know a mechanic personally who offers me discounts, but I still choose to take my car to Elston and Foster Auto. Kim uses only genuine parts. He may be slightly higher in price than other places or comparable, but you cant beat his expertise. I know that taking my car here will result in the problem getting repaired. Ive had many many experiences where the mechanic "found" something else wrong than what I originally brought the car in for and it results in an expensive repair bill. Ive also had experience with other mechanics telling me they "think" this is the problem, but when they fix that, it turns out that wasnt the problem! With Kim, I can trust that he is going to tell me the correct issue the first time and will also tell me whether or not it is important to get other things done that may be going on. He is truly a fantastic and trustworthy mechanic.

Something must have crawled up into a deep-seated part of my engine and died, because it smells vicious. So I went to that Foster Elston Auto Shop. Not the friendliest guys on the planet. They said it wasnt an engine problem & couldnt do anything about it. The owner simply said I needed to go to a car wash & get the engine washed. He wouldnt recommend a place. When I asked him for details, he walked away. Total jerks, theres too many other decent shops in the area to waste your time here.

The owner is very rude and aggressive. I just wanted an estimate and work done and he wanted $75 for an estimate! Definitely will make sure to steer my fellow neighbors somewhere else. After having my car for four days he decided he wasnt going to work on it at all. Im guessing he could not figure out what was wrong with it. Too bad, it would be nice to have a good mechanic in the neighborhood.

Mr. Kim is very quiet and may come off as rude; but I need a good mechanic that I can trust, not a friend. I have been taking my car to Mr. Kim for over 10 years now and I totally trust him and his work.

Dont go there. Waste of time! The guy went to pick up a part and was gone for 2h - no wonder theres no costumers. Seriously I dont care if hes cheap or not. Respect your costumers!
