I have been doing Business with Ed Starns (Manager) for almost 25 years now following him everywhere that he worked and have trusted him with every vehicle I owned/own ever since, even company vehicles where I work. Ed along with Kevin & John (Service Advisors) and the rest of the crew in the shop (I wish I could name them all) have never steered me wrong. I can assure you unlike other repair shops when they come back to you from the shop with the estimate in thier hand they are showing you things that "Need" to be repaired or replaced, not things they "Want" to replace just to make an extra buck. I have the upmost faith in these guys and never had to second guess them on "Anything". Another thing they offer that I have never experienced anywhere else, they offered me a loaner car to use while mine was being worked on, not that I needed it because they always have me out in the most expedient manner, find that somewhere else??? I highly recommend Master Auto Repair no matter what side of the River you are on, I also challenge anyone to find a better deal for money spent, Im thankful I have the one in Collinsville and greatful for Customer Service and work "Quality" these guys put out as a final product. My boyfriend and I were driving home to Chicago from St. Louis when we saw black smoke coming from under the hood of the car. We looked for an auto repair in close proximity and found Master Auto Repair. Despite the short notice, they were kind enough to squeeze us in and have the repairs completed that very day. Turns out there was a large oil leak that caused oil to spew out all over the engine. Being from out of town and crunched for time, it would have been easy for them to take advantage of our situation and rip us off, but the itemized bill was fair with no suspicious charges. When we first got back on the road, we noticed the car temperature indicator shooting up, so we took it back in. They quickly reexamined the car and fixed the problem. We were back on the road again and made it to Chicago with no issues. We recommend Master Auto Repair for their kind, professional, and efficient service.

I would not go anywhere else to have all 4 of my cars worked on! Master Auto Repair is fantastic! They are professional and friendly putting the customer first. They dont pressure you into getting things fixed, they explain what the problem is and what your options are. They are honest. Love going where everyone knows your name!! Another bonus is they have loaner cars. When you call to make an appointment they are pretty quick to accommodate you and your schedule! Love Ed, Kevin and John and the guys in the shop! I wouldnt take my car anywhere else. Not only are they professional, they know you by name. One of the things I like is they offer a courtesy car if you need one. This is a big selling point with me. Plus, they dont pressure you into getting things fixed. They explain what the problem is and explain your options. They are honest people. When they do an oil change, they will look over your car and let you know what things you may want to be made aware of. They currently work on all 4 of my families cars. GREAT PEOPLE. GREAT BUSINESS.

I have had both of my cars serviced at Master Auto Repair and have found the staff very knowledgeable, professional and friendly. The repairs were made while I waited and were timely. They would have given me a loaner car had I wanted or needed one, but as it turned out, I had the time to wait. Not many shops will do that today. I also appreciate the free roadside assistance for 12 months since my last service, and the coupons for a discount on my next service. I will definitely be back!

I recently brought my car into Master Auto Repair for an oil change and safety and emissions inspections. I had never been there before, but the location was convenient and they told me they could even give me a ride to and from work. The people at Master made it sooo easy to get my car worked on. From now on, I know where I will be getting my car serviced. I trust these people - they are friendly and most important honest!

I have taken my car to Master Auto Repair several times and have always had excellent service. The staff is friendly and the service is prompt. I have never had a difficult time getting an appointment and they have always worked with my schedule. I havent had to use their loaner car service as yet but it is a great feature! My parents use them also and have always been pleased with the work they do.

Great people work here. I took in an old 1972 351C block because of some stuck bolts I couldnt get with my tools at home. They got it off with no problem, they didnt charge me for anything. I had planned on paying for the use of the tool and a few minutes but they wouldnt let me. Definitely where I am taking my business from now on.

This shop charges just to look at your car. Got an estimate to have work done on the brakes and a few other things, quoted me over $800. I went to another placed in Granite City and they fixed my brakes for less than $150. Make sure you know your vehicle or this place will fix things that dont need replaced.

Local shop with a great atmosphere and highly qualified technicians. That doesnt say enough about the level of service that you receive and the trust that they share with you. Get a sticker while you are there and receive future discounts on service!!!

Horrible Experience!!! They charged me over $300 for front brakes on a Neon and its less than 6 weeks later and I cant stop! Ill never go back there again.
