DO NOT GO HERE. They are scam artists that are paid on commission and will manufacture problems to make themselves money. I am fairly competent when it comes to the basics of car maintenance. I only went here due to being short on time, otherwise I would have changed the pads myself. I take the tires off every so often and check the wear on the brake pads. I knew they were getting worn and needed replacing. These guys SWAPPED MY GOOD ROTOR WITH A BAD ONE to make it look like there was a bigger issue than there really was. The switched it out with one that they had apparently pulled off another vehicle. They told me that whoever changed my pads last put the pad on upside down, which I know for a fact is a lie. There is no way possible I wouldnt have noticed the pad being reversed and the damage on the rotor. I had looked at them maybe 3 or 4 times after they were changed the last time. I would have noticed this WITHOUT A DOUBT. I told them I knew what they did and they denied it. Since these guys pulled this crap, I had to replace the rotor because they left their "scamming" rotor on my car. Like I said, I would have definitely noticed the rotor wear and the backward pad if it had been like that previously. I check this regularly and there is no way I would have missed it. It just isnt possible that I would have missed it. It would have been blatantly obvious. They most definitely tried to pull a scam on someone they thought wouldnt know better. It didnt work. They didnt scam me out of my money because I caught them, but it cost me money to replace their "scamming rotor." Dont be fooled by their 4 and 5 star reviews. They were probably made by employees or friends of employees. They have more 1 star reviews than all other reviews combined. You have been warned. Do NOT go here.

On Tuesday October 18, 2016, I brought my Yukon Truck to this location because my brake lights was not working. However, my husband and I brought the truck to them i July 2016 because the brake was not working right. They told us that is was the brake light switch, but the entire time , the wires to the brake light had broken, inside f the dashboard. They did not do a do a full check to determine the cause of my brakes light not working. So I brought my truck back on Tuesday, the actually found my what was causing our brake lights not to work. This was something they should have checked and fix back in July. We did not need a brake lights switch, the wires had broken completely and they kept giving us the run around. Last Friday we brought the truck to Midas and the manager told us their is nothing was wrong with the light. Now I brought it back in, they found the problem that could have set the truck on fire. In the Midas in Collinsville, IL I would not bring my truck back to them, EVER! However, the manger from Fairview Heights Warner, IL apologized for this issue. I was less pissed off, but I was still upset they did not do their job correctly. Warner was very nice and super helpful. I WOULD NOT recommend taking your vehicle to the Midas in Collinsville. But I will take my truck to Fairview Heights or Glen Carbon location.

I had an awful experience at Midas in Fairview Heights. I brought my car in for what I was told would be a repair that would take a day and a half maximum. Midas ended up having my car for 13 days total over the course of a month before I took it elsewhere to have it fixed. Midas did the initial repair incorrectly (and it took them almost a week). The work they did caused my car to stall and die on me while I was driving it with my small child in the car. I brought my car back three more times after this to try and figure out what was wrong with it. Each time they told me they identified the issue and made it sound like it was an unrelated coincidence. They did not want to pay for a rental car for me even though it was their fault. I ended up taking it to the dealership and they told me that Midas had done the repair incorrectly leading to engine issues. The Midas general manager, Brian, was rude to me and argumentative. Luckily the dealership knew to take photos of the job Midas had done incorrectly. They even glued in a bunch of things that were not meant to be glued and the dealership had to scrape everything off and order new parts in addition to fixing other parts of the repair. I will never take my car back to Midas. They do not know what they are doing.

Horrible!! I went in for a simple oil change. Of course the mechanic brings me into the shop to tell me there is something else wrong (all shops do this, but usually its to change your air filter). He tells me my struts are leaking. He said "havent you been feeling a jerking motion when you drive?" NO, that is something I would definitely notice. I said I would have my brother look at it. I drive away, and immediately notice a OBVIOUS difference to my car. There NOW is a jerking motion. There is no fricken way I didnt notice this before hand. Its like hitting the brakes. Half way home, and im steaming, THEN i notice my "Check Engine" light is on. So I drive back to the place and tell them what happened. The mechanic tells me he will check it FOR $70. I was so angry. I was very assertive and let them know I expected them to fix THEIR PROBLEM for free. The lady manager stepped in and said they would do it for free. It turns out they had forgot to re-connect an air hose. UNBELIEVEABLE. I dont know why I went here. I should have stuck with my normal mechanic - Jims auto repair in Collinsville. He is consistantly honest, nice, and affordable. If you need a mechanic I suggest Jim.

This is the worst to have your car serviced!!! I was there getting my brakes, rotors and wheel barrings changed.... I was there for 4 hours and after leaving I had bolts falling from my vehicle. I promptly returned to the location and it was repaired but this couldve been a horrible accident. I requested a part of my labor fees to be refunded and instead I was offered a in store credit. The manager Brian stated very clearly that the only way they would correct my situation is if I continued doing business with his location. He was overly assertive and would not allow me to speak. After filing a complaint with corporate, he again responded to me in the same manner. Told me he was the end of the line for this complaint and that I should take what he was offering or get nothing! WORST PLACE EVER!! PLEASE DO NOT TAKE YOUR BUSINESS TO THIS ESTABLISHMENT!! HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE, INCOMPETENT MANAGEMENT AND MECHANICS!

Very disappointed. I took my car in for a routine oil change; they came back with a list of things they say had to be done on my car, none of which actually needed done. One of those things was new brake pads. They said I have only 3% brake pads left and told me what they would charge to fix them. I took my car to a mechanic shop that I knew and trusted to have the brake pads done and they told me there is 50-60% left on my pads and I dont need this service done. Midas told me there was pulsing from the brakes but my mechanic indicated there was no such thing. I will never go back to Midas as I now know they will scam you into paying for services that dont need done. If I could give them 0 stars I would.
