DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! Coming from somebody who moves frequently, this was the worst company I have dealt with by far. You are charged by the hour and they take advantage of that situation. I have used many moving companies all of the other previous ones charged by the job and they were in an out in no time. Since Two Men and a Truck charges by the hour they do not have the same motivation to be expeditious. My recent move with them involved two houses that were approximately 200 yards from each other and only included big furniture items. Rather than using a moving truck to load all the pieces at once and then unload all at once, the movers decided walk each piece of furniture from one house to other. So for what would have taken them 20 steps to put in the truck and 20 steps to take out of the truck, it now turned into a 200 yard trek there and a 200 yard trek back. This process continued for the next 6 hours, yes 6 hours ($160 per hour). I chalk this up to me not being there and them taking advantage of my wife who didnt know this wasnt standard. After I found out what was going on I called the manager, Jeremy, to complain about the situation and was told it would have taken the same amount of time even if they had used a truck. This sent me through the roof because even after many, many, many times trying to explain to him how illogical that his stance was (20 ft + 20 ft=40ft/200 yards + 200 yards=400 YARDS), he still would not come off that stance. After 3 phone calls and hours of frustrating conversation I am here speaking to you through this review. The only thing I can say nice about this company is that the movers were nice guys and made sure all the pieces of furniture made it to their correct location unharmed, albeit at a snail’s pace.

Weve used 2 men and a truck twice. The first time was great. The second time not so. great. We dont have much So its not hard to discover something missing. In this case it happens to be a very nice round end table that was my Mothers. It was the first item loaded on the truck and was not unloaded at our new address. We were told everything was off the truck and they needed our signature saying so. They didnt say have a look around to make sure everything is there. They were gone five minutes when we noticed the table was missing. I called the office right away and was told they would check the truck when it got back. the next day I called back because they didnt call me. No table was found. They said they were sorry. Well so am I for using your company. I wont make that mistake again. P.S. Wheres my survey?

We hired Two Men and a Truck out of Collinsville, IL to move our law office in Effingham, IL, which was over 75 miles away. They were exceptional. We had very heavy furniture, filing cabinets, desks and conference tables. The three young men never once complained and their work ethic was incredible. They moved our office quickly and efficiently, taking special care with all of our assets to assure that nothing was scratched or dented. They were very friendly and accommodating. Even when they put heavy items where we told them, if we changed our minds they would gladly move it for us. This company is top notch. I unreservedly recommend them as movers.

We were given an estimate $737.00 for the move and the final bill was over $1,300, which was, in part, our fault because we had more to move than we had initially indicated, but also their fault since one of their movers was rather slow. We did complain, and what we appreciated is that the manager conceded that one of the movers was, in fact, slow and sent us a check for $300.00. We would advise having an estimator visit your home before giving a bid.

Our experience with Two Men and a Truck was amazing. Best move we have ever had. The 3 guys that worked with us were very kind and super hard workers. They handled all our stuff with care and wrapped everything so it would not get scratched. I loved too that they even put all the furniture in place including putting the beds back together. It made it all so nice. I would highly recommend this company to help with your move!!
