Update: Literally once I finished the review (was typing it in my car) the manager came back out and said hed take a look at it. They washed it, revealing all the streak marks and he realized THAT was what I was talking about. He claimed this is the result of a bad buff job by the dealership... Im not entirely sure since it wasnt that way before but at least he came to his senses by being courteous and trying to solve the situation with me. Do NOT take your car here. I got a brand new car in November and have washed it 3 times, all here at Suds. With it being cloudy and dark most of the days here in Chicago, I finally saw my car in the sun and noticed swipe marks over my entire car. What used to be a smooth, black color now has circular streaks over the entire car due to the towels they used. When I came in, the manager claimed it was from the trees??? I told him that I park my car in a garage both at work and at home so I have no clue what he is talking about. Every time I spoke he cut me off and was immediately rude. When calmly I tried to further tell him that they were circular marks from the guys drying it with a towel, he started walking away saying there was nothing he could do. I asked why he was being so rude and cutting me off as soon as I tried to talk and he said he was busy and had to go. Unless you want swipe marks all over your car and a rude manager whom makes no sense, dont come here.

Im new to the area but already a Suds customer for life. Why? My wife and I are building a house just a mile or two north of Suds. Was taking a can of paint over to Prather Paint to have it color matched and the entire gallon spilled in the car. White latex paint covering the entire passenger seat (leather), areas of the door, and large parts of the floor mats both in front of and behind the passenger seat. Called Suds and spoke to the manager there. He was very honest with us saying that lots of water is involved in cleaning up latex and there would be a good chance that it would destroy the electronics in the seat. Our other option was to buy a new seat. We took it to him anyway and he said hed do his best. He was also extremely kind about the whole thing. To be honest, its a bit embarrassing to spill an entire gallon of paint in your car. He had me laughing about the situation (e.g., "Its Monday morning...these things happen!") and feeling pretty confident that he could do something. He did continue to say that he couldnt guarantee hed be able to get it all, but thought it was worth trying. Well, by the end of the day, the car was spotless. Im absolutely amazed. These guys are great. The manager there is fantastic. Keep up the good work, gentleman.

We took our grimy 2006 Prius in for interior detailing for the first time. We had low expectations mainly because we never had the Prius cleaned since purchasing it used in 2010, with grime included. The customer service at Suds was direct but courteous. The staffer we spoke with said he couldnt guarantee that the interior would look new again given the level of grime, but it would definitely look better. When I picked up our car the next day I was amazed that the interior was restored to near new condition. Also, before bringing it in, staff requested I remove all items from the car, which seems typical of a car detailing place. I thought I had removed all items but forgot some things (a towel and some car accessories). All items were returned to my car after cleaning. Lastly, (and maybe this was just luck) our display on the Prius wasnt working before we took it in. Replacement of a Prius display runs around $1,200. After the cleaning the display started working again. Maybe it was just luck or maybe its malfunction had to do with the grime. I dont know. But we are grateful to have it fixed by a $90 car detailing. Payment was accepted via credit card and I was on my way in 5 minutes. I would definitely take our car back.

My husband and I have been taking our cars to Suds for quite some time. Their washes have always been thorough, though nothing extraordinary. On our most recent visit, the drivers side mirror was damaged after the car had been washed. When my husband pointed it out to one of the employees, the employee took a defensive stance and directed him to the supervisor on duty. When my husband explained that our car was damaged, the supervisor stated that it wasnt his fault our car was "cheap." Perhaps they should invest in a large sign that reads "Only luxury cars welcome here." I should note that my husband had already paid, did not request money or a refund, and wasnt angry/aggressive in his tone or body language. My husband simply wanted the mirror repaired. The supervisor offered no solution. We sent a message to Suds through their website, and have received no response. The customer service was pretty terrible. I wont be back.

My wife recently went here this week. As indicated in some of the other reviews the gentlemen with the greased back hair (possibly the owner, he always there) is a total unprofessional, very rude and honestly I think he is simply upset with everyone cause he is stuck in a car wash. Suds uses the Belly app, and the IPAD in the store has not been working for weeks. We had points from prior check ins and as I expected upon trying to cash in the Belly rewards she was greeted with disgust due to a free wash. IE all they want is your money. Not even sure why they have the Belly reward program with a broken IPAD. We plan to report them to Belly as well. Evanston do yourself a favor and stay away from this dirt bag and there horrible customer service!

The car washers here are so thorough and do an amazing job, even with my crappy old car! The price is comparable to other places that wash the inside and outside, and is even on the cheaper end of places Ive found. Yes, there is a minimum for how much you can put on a credit card so be prepared to pay in cash. However, this is not the only place with that kind of policy. Even bars usually wont put just a few bucks on a card. And they have an ATM in the lobby. I have been disappointed by many car washes, but never Suds! Even though I live in the city now, I always bring my car back to Suds when it needs a wash!

I was there once and they did a decent job with the car wash. My problem was when it came down to paying. The owner I believe was ringing me up and I went to pay with my credit card/debit and he told me that I could not pay unless it was like 15 dollars or more. Or to pay with cash. Because there was a credit card fee. I was like WTH place is this. Since then I never went back. So customers beware.
