Very honest guys. Rick and Bobby seem to handle most of the intake work now and they are mechanics themselves. Everyone at this place knows what they are doing, and almost nothing is out of their knowledge or ability, but the shop has its limits on capacity (they dont rebuild transmissions, etc, but replace clutches and even cylinder heads on occasion) Ive been going here since college when I drove a Ford Tempo and had their previous smaller location on Pulaski. They often have a wait if you show up in the afternoon, but generally get to stuff right away in the morning. Sometimes I wait sometimes I come back. Depends if they need to order a part and wait for delivery (can take a few hours) but across many cars Ive had an alternator replaced, AC compressor replaced, starter replaced, suspension done, oil pan replaced, and multiple welds and exhaust work done. I need to have a fuel pump replaced in my focus soon since the gasket is leaking and it requires dropping the tank, and plan to have them do that too. The new location is such a huge improvement. More lifts, more space, alley access, a lunch room, etc. Everyone Ive ever referred there from friends to family have always had good experiences. If anyone complains its about the wait, because everyone in the know goes to these guys and they are busy.

This review is long over due. The absolute best car repair shop--period. I moved away from Evergreen Park and I will drive forty minutes plus back to this shop (if possible) for any major repairs I need on my car. Great group of guys. Very honest, very straightforward, always very fair on price. They wont ever hit you with anything that doesnt need to be done or try to scare you into getting unneeded repairs, unlike 90% of other car repair places on the road. An honest mechanic/repair shop is hard to find, I thoroughly appreciate everything Quick Stop has done for me and all the people Ive referred to them.

Had my front brakes done at this location. No complaints about the brakes. However I went to get new tires for the rear at a reputable tire shop and they found my lugnut crossthreaded on. Even as a kid working on our own cars with my dad Ive never crossthreaded a lugnut. So now Ill have to take it into the dealership to get it fixed for more money out of my pocket. BEWARE OF A PLACE THAT HAS EMPLOYEES THAT SCREW UP SOMETHING AS SIMPLE AS A LUGNUT. The new location also sucks and is very tiny as well as hard to access.

My friends recommended these guys and they did not disappoint! They lived up to the other excellent reviews Ive read. Just all around great guys. Ed took my information, and although you dont need an appointment, they were very busy, but Ed said theyd work me in. Dustin (manager) got my vehicle in a bay within 30 minutes. And my service technician Tom had me out the door shortly after. In and out under an hour. Fast, quality work and at a great price. No more dealerships for me anymore. Thanks, guys!

These guys really know their s--t!!! They talked to me over the phone about my problem, told me what needed to be done and how much that work would cost me. I brought the car in the next day, they did exactly what they told me they were going to do in about 4 hours, and charged me exactly what they said over the phone. So comforting to know you can take your car in to a place, get it fixed right without any bulls--t, and by guys who really know what the hell theyre doing. Thanks Quick Stop!
