Worst haircut ever by Marcia. It took her forever to cut it and then she tried to even it out which didnt work. It took her forever to dry it. I have very fine shoulder length hair so it does take more than a few minutes to dry it. It was obvious she does not know how to cut hair and she was very nervous doing it. I was told she knew how to cut a bob style and she doesnt. Also, I did not get a shampoo and was charged for it anyway. After getting home, I saw how uneven the cut was. I also noticed that I was charged for the shampoo. I went back and complained about being charged for the shampoo and that the hair cut was even. Marcia said, "you pay for the shampoo even if you dont get it and your hair looks even to me." I guess as long as the hair dresser is pleased, it doesnt matter what the customer thinks. I will not be paying for this. Stay away from this place.

I will only ever go to this place to get my hair cut. Ive got _really_ curly hair (like, afro status), and until I started coming here Id never found a place that can style it in a way that looks nice. Amy, one of the stylists here, does an excellent job of making it look nice and keeping it manageable. I dont even have to tell her how to cut it, I just say, "make it look good" and she nails it every time. She also remembers me by first name and the anecdotes we exchange. Gotta love a place where the employees really go out of their way to get to know you and the way you like your hair. Worth far more than the $18 they charge for a wash and cut. P.S. If you like the way you look, remember to tip your stylist! :)

If I could give them zero stars I would. The lady didnt listen to anything I said about my boyfriends hair and how I wanted it cut, she just did whatever she wanted to and then kept telling us that it looked good when it looked terrible. She hardly spoke english and Im guessing she couldnt understand what we wanted... if you cant understand english then you shouldnt work in customer servicer where you need to listen to what the customer says to give them what they want. They offered us a free haircut and I told them that we just got a free haircut because its terrible why would we come back for another free terrible haircut.

Talk about poor customer service and feeling unwelcome. I was turned down for hair color almost 3 hours before they were closing by a woman who said "we are closing soon." I guess because it was a Friday and she rather not do anything so she could go out. You do hair....not surgery or any other highly-skilled job! This was last year and I will never come back, it only takes one bad experience in customer services.

Marcia is amazing! I usually go to an expensive salon but decided to give hair cuttery a try... And am I glad I did! Marcia gave me the best haircut Ive ever had! I came in with a small idea of what I wanted but asked her what would look best on me and she was able to guide me to beat look. I will no longer go to anyone else! Just Marcia at hair cuttery in grayslake!!!!

Worst highlight experience. I got a full highlight and when I left my hair was 2 shades darker. I went back to see what they could do and of course they were trying to charge me to fix their mistakes. What a waste of 125 bucks. I do NOT recommend anyone go here for highlights.

I get my hair cut by Amy and she is FABULOUS! I dont think Ive ever had a bad cut or color from her. I bring in a picture and she always has great suggestions and knows exactly how to make it happen. I cannot say enough nice things about her or her coworkers!

Posted on the door that they close at 4pm and they sent us away at 3:49 for a boys hair cut. There was no one else in the store very disappointed.
