Rude and unprofessional cant begin to describe this place. My mom was getting dental work done two doors down and my son needed a haircut so I figured Id give them a try. I was asking the "stylist" to wait until I show her the picture of what my son wanted to get his hair to look like. She gave me a nasty look. She took one look at the photo and said cant do it. No if or maybe, just rude no. So he agreed to have his hair trimmed since hes been growing it for a year so he can get this style. She was tugging on his hair and was being inconsiderate and he kept having painful expression on his face. She rushed through it and he walked away with a very sad look on his face. He is 8. I gave her a $2 tip, not because she deserved it but because Im better than that and I said thanks. She ignored it, didnt say thank you, youre welcome, come again, bye, anything... Just ignored us. That $2 was a gift for butchering his hair, being rude, inconsiderate, annoyed by us and totally unprofessional. Yet she was offended by it. I will never, ever, ever walk in there again. Stylists name was Cheryl.

Sheesh! Ive been going here for nearly twenty years off and on since I travel so much. I have never had a bad experience nor have I ever witnessed anyone being treated poorly. I have always been treated with respect and received great customer service. In fact I may be gone for almost a year and Im still on a first name basis. And Im not the only one. I was in today and a very young toddler was having an absolutely terrible terrible time getting his hair cut. His screaming was driving me up the wall. The stylist cutting his hair was smiling and talking with him, and unbelievably patient. She managed the whole ordeal very well, in spite of his tossing and turning in the chair, and gave him a great hair cut. I highly recommend this place!

The stylists were unexperienced and quite frankly seemingly prejudice. I got the worst cut ever.. they told me that theres nothing more they could do with my hair (typical African American fade) and i only asked for a fade and lining.. I even told them i didnt want to be difficult as i yried to get them to understand what i wanted.. they acted as if what i was asking for was crazy. They didnt know i speak a lil spanish so they talked about me in spanish and because i decided it was hopeless and asked them to just clean me up so i can pay and be on my way, the manager stated so i could hear that ill never be pleased. I will never return to this establishment or chain for that matter.

Usually get my haircut at the great clips in Grayslake. Decided to stop in the Gurnee one since I was in the area. I had a coupon that I always use at the one in Grayslake. Received my mediocre haircut by a woman that barely spoke any English. Go to pay and discover they dont take coupons at this salon, yet the great clips a few miles down the road in Grayslake do? No signs saying "no coupons" or anything. Coupon lives matter

Got haircuit that doesnt suit me. They dont have a record of my previous haircut & gave me a bad haircut & basically storm through my hair & left one side unbalanced leaving my hair spoiled where you can tell i am not quite happy with its looks. Did not ask what # haircut or how short I want my hair to be from top.

STAY AWAY.!! The owner/management is a vicious vindictive human being. She is very disrespectful towards minorities. Her language is that of a truck driver. She can care less about what the customer says if he/she has a bad haircut. ☆☆☆☆THIS PLACE IS NOT WORTH THE TIME OR MONEY.☆☆☆☆☆☆ ☆☆☆YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED☆☆☆☆

I have been to this location three times since moving to the area. The employees are nice and professional. The wait times are great. I usually go around 7pm on a weekday and dont wait at all. In general Great Clips is a good chain with consistent results. I like their check in online/mobile feature.

Both times I have been here they ask me what I want done, its not until after they finish when you see your new cut looks nothing like you asked for, not to mention how extremely rude the staff is. NEVER EVER UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES GO TO THIS HAIR CUTTERY!!!!!!

I have my hair cut here every time and each time they cut it just right. They are always friendly and give me great tips on my hair. The wait is usually short and the prices are great for what you get
