Just picked up my 2011 Jetta Black sportswagon from Tom today, His shop may be small but his results were huge. Its a black car and I ran over a semi tire on 94 messing up the bottom of my car pretty good. He made sure to show me everything and walked me through the process. I am very picky about my car and he was truly great at listening and explaining everything. He has great people skills and understands how important it is to do good work. I would highly recommend his services, from ding removal (which he also did for me) to paint work. My car is black and had a fender with a scratch that needed sanding and re-spray. The car came back looking perfect. He even washed and vacuumed the inside. Went over and above. I will be back (hopefully not soon!).

My car was hit in the rear, and crunched the frame of my car, like an accordion. The bumper was cracked bad, and the back doors wouldnt open anymore because they were pushed together to the frame of the car. I was referred by my moms friend to take my car here, and I am happy I took his advice. They fixed it all. There is no way possible you can tell I was in a car accident. They finished the car a week earlier than quoted. Tom is the owner I take it and he took the time to explain the steps it will take to get my car back and running. He was very informational, and overall a great help for me. This was my first accident ever and I am so thankful for his advice.

Tom, owner and manager, is unprofessional and argumentative. He did not stand by verbal agreements made. We had our car fixed after an accident. The paint did not match up and a gap was left between the bumper and tailgate light where I was hit. Tom quoted a final amount owed over the phone, then tried to charge $30 more when we went to pick up the car. On top of that, their credit card machine wasn’t working, so they insisted we’d have to leave to get cash if we wanted our car. It seemed to be one problem with another with Waukegan/Gurnee Auto Body. I would recommend doing more research and finding a body shop that is Better Business Bureau accredited.

I have had my 2011 Toyota Avalon into this shop 4 times. Twice in 2.5 months for roof repairs. Once from a neighborhood kids friends thrown rock damage and one for my son backing the car out of the garage before the garage door was completely up. Tom is easy to work with, does great work, prices are lower than competition. I grew up around a body shop that my older brother managed from 1962-1994. Toms care reminds me of the personal service my brothers shop always provided. I have taken my previous cars to Tom in the last 10 years as well. I highly recommend Waukegan Gurnee Auto Body, although I could use a break from repairs for a while.

They worked with my schedule and facilitated communication and payment with my mechanic without my intervention. They fixed my car on schedule and within the estimate. The work was perfect. Tom did a great job on my car. The entire process of dealing with insurance companies and getting estimates was a real headache, but as soon as I handed my vehicle over to Tom and his staff everything went very smooth. Couldnt be happier with my decision to take my car here. After after a hit-and-run left me with a fair bit of damage, I went to see Tom on a Monday, who received the necessary parts within two days. I dropped my car off on Thursday, and by the end of that day my car was ready and good as new (and for a very reasonable price!). Highly recommended!!
