I went to the salon today on a whim, to get my nails done, after trying several other salons that were closing at 8pm. It was 8:15, I parked in the back where I could see most, if not, all the chairs were empty as I proceeded to the front entrance. There were only a few people in the front of the store looking around and I made my way to the front desk. I asked politely if there were any openings so that I could get my nails done. She said, "Unfortunately there are only appointments made at 8, and they are all full. " I paused, looked at my phone and saw it was more than a quarter past 8, and replied, "any cancellations? " and she replied, "unfortunately not." I wouldnt have been too upset if I saw proof that there were in fact people there, and to make matters worse, I was never asked to set up an appointment, not even a nod towards that direction other than the one for the door. Overall, my experience there made me feel uncomfortable, and unwelcome, even though I am a Homewood resident. So, if you are a person of color, better be lighter than me, not have ethnic clothes or hair, and speak like you just had Botox. Now to see if theyre even rated BBB. Unfortunately, I havent checked that out yet.

I was referred to Jonathan Kan Salon & Spa by my hair stylist who had a very positive experience herself. It was very easy to get an appointment at JKSP, and the person on the other end of the phone was very courteous and nice; I could see her smile. I received a reminder call about my appointment too. When I arrived the receptionist was very courteous, the waiting area was very clean and neatly attended. I waited approximately 10 minutes before my technician came for me, but while I was waiting the receptionist asked me if I would like a beverage. The technician I had explained everything and put me at ease. She was very competent in her craft. I would not hesitate to recommend JKSP to anyone. So happy my stylist referred me there!

They do great hair but unfortunately they cannot be depended on to honor appointments. After my last appointment, I had booked my next one to occur in the morning before my flight out of town. When I arrived - my appointment was either removed or never put in the system- even though the girl gave me an appointment card. They could no even accommodate me due to their error. She told me I could get either squeeze me in for a cut or color, but not both. After being a loyal client, I expected better. Unacceptable. I had to fly out that evening without my hair being done. I never went back. There are too many salons in existence that do great hair. I shouldnt patronize a place with apathetic staff who dont care to fix their mistakes.

I cant say enough about Jonathan Kane Salon & Spa! For many years, I too was a salon owner, which in turn made my standards & expectations very high when seeking out a new place to call my "home!" I was fortunate enough to initially be scheduled with Marissa, & now see her every 4 weeks religiously, and have been for years. Shes truly talented, never needs any direction, & hasnt ever done anything that I didnt love! I now bring my children for their cuts, & have used Nora, Angela, & Jordan who have also been GREAT! All of the staff, from the assistants to the Saints that run the front desk (Tina & Sharon) have all been amazing, professional, & welcoming! Congratulations on your new location, best wishes! Ive been to several spas and Jonathan Kane is by far THE Best. The ambiance is so peaceful & welcoming. Love the fresh water with lemons. The customer service is TOP Notch and the cost is very affordable. I get the downtown feel without the downtown prices & parking chaos!!! Tina is an amazing manager. Her team is always ready to serve the clients. And Larry is so personable. Jonathan Kane is like family. And they offer AMAZING Aveda products!!!! Beth does Amazing facials....I actually fall asleep! And Joy does life changing massages & body scrubs. My. Favorite body scrub is the Stress Fix!!!!

Johnathan Kane salon is absolutely amazing. I come to this salon for eveything ! Haircuts ,chemical peels and waxs. The staff is absolutely the best! Ive always had a wonderful experience here and Ive been coming here for a little over a year. This is my go to place for all my beauty needs. Tina the receptionist is always the most pleasent person to deal with. The staff is very knowledgeable about the products they sell as well so thats a plus. And the products they sell actually work ! I have been a client at Jonathan Kane for several years now and have enjoyed my experiences. It is an upscale salon in Flossmoor and the staff is friendly as well as professional. I chose it because it is an Aveda Salon and I really like their color as well as their hair products. You can travel anywhere and visit a salon and get the same color. Alysha is my hair stylist and she is a great colorist, stylist and gives a great cut! She is very nice and attentive to your requests! I highly recommend it!

I highly recommend this salon. The space is well-designed. The support staff is friendly and helpful. My stylist, Ann, is excellent! She listened to what I wanted. She carefully washed my hair and massaged my scalp! (That was a treat!) and she cut my hair perfectly! Exactly what I wanted! She also gave me a tour of the salon since it was my first time there. What a great haircut/styling experience. I feel so very lucky to have a top-of-the-line salon in my neighborhood! This is a lovely salon.

Since its inception, Jonathan Kane has provided exceptional services from hair care to spa. Ive referred friends and acquaintances to the salon and all have remained satisfied clients. Although I could have never imagined doing so with any other salon, we contracted with the salon to have stylists travel to "do" my daughters hair, my hair, and the bridesmaids hair. Jonathan Kane is an excellent place for men to get great attention, excellent haircuts, and various spa services. The stylists (yo Nora!) are expert and imaginative - or not, depending on you. I had a Mani-Pedi and my legs waxed here and the women who did them were wonderful! Not only were they great at their jobs, they were friendly and professional. The prices were competitive and the shop was immaculate. And now, its moved to Homewood so itshould even closer I will definitely email back!!!
