Let me start by saying LA Fitness has beautiful and appealing facilities. However we had a horrible experience. First time signing up for LA fitness, the manager NICK OR NICHOLAS at this location (refused to give his last name because hes a completely unprofessional individual filled with lies and an inability to speak to his customers in an appropriate manner)- only cares about making a sale. We cancelled our membership here within AN HOUR because Nick called the LA fitness center we originally signed up at to complain about how they took his sale. Insisted we made an appointment with him when we never did. And he also had us sign a contract which in the end entailed that Nick would be able to take two sales from the store we signed up at. We only wanted to sign up for a fitness center membership- not get involved in their inter company issues. Well unfortunately we did, and when we confronted Nick about his rude and rash behavior within the hour of signing up, he lied to us and ran into his office without offering an explanation or solution. Instead, left his staff to deal with the situation. Not sure how many corporations have managers who walk away from an escalated situation, probably only one- LA Fitness obviously. So we did what any normal person would do- we cancelled our membership with LA Fitness altogether. Rather workout at a place that respects their guests, not create havoc over making a sale. What a pathetic manager. He completely RUINED the positive image we had for LA fitness.

This place is basically an overpriced Planet Fitness. Atleast with Planet they can give me all the information I inquire about. I went in for a tour and Troy greeted me with politeness which was nice, but as we walked and talked he never directly addressed my questions and when I awnsered his question of "what in focusing on" he just kept trying to dive deeper into what I wanted when in reality its non of his business. I just wanted info on the memberships. Well when we finally Do get to talking about pricing, not only was it over priced but he told me it was first month + last month + initiation fee which totaled to like 150. When I said no thanks Im looking for a cheaper membership he quickly switches up his pricing and says I dont have to pay the initiation fee? Just seemed like he wanted a sale. Not to mention the place is nasty looking. I understand that keeping a large gym like that with minimal staff clean is hard but, just looked like a dusty mess of a place.

I thought other LA Fitnesss were bad. This is where workout machinery comes to die. This place is more like a museum than a workout facility. Have you ever wanted to pick up a 25lb barbell from each decade since the start of the 70s? If so, this is the place for you. Various vintage styles of assorted free weights are the rage at this LA Fitness location... and the bonus is you wont find any dumbbells to make a pair in that style. The locker room was something out of a horror movie. I cant tell if the greenish tiles were simply green or just slimy mold. There are no paper towels in the mens bathroom at the sinks or anywhere that I noticed. Make sure youre up on your vaccines b/c if you scrape yourself on one of the rusted out lockers, I would make sure to go get a shot afterwards. To end on a positive note, one redeeming quality is that the gym is in a huge open space and the air circulation is a lot better than the Glenview location.

Be careful of this sales man,Dany row , or David row, he dont even wright his name well, he try to robe me , he told me that I will get 2 person for 44 dls at month and 1 charge of 200 dls for both ,i pay cash,he also ask for my credit card for future charges , when I check my bank account they charge another 125 dls, I went to ask whats going on , and he said that he charge 40 dls for his service and that the rest will be refund to my account , I talk to the manager and they had a big discuss in front of me , the manager told me that he was trying to robe me , I cancel everything and I get my refund back.im now on xport fitness, because of that, this is an American guy long hair , 6 ft , and he will tell you that he is the manager , he is just a Rober be careful

This LA Fitness location is far from bougie and the equipment isn’t brand new, but it gets the job done. It has old-school metal plates, a large selection of dumbbells, and 3 squat racks. You’ll find it has a lot of character and the members are genuine. If you want brand new equipment with a 30 minute wait for most of the equipment try the petting zoo across the street. There youll have plenty of time in-between lifts to update your Instagram. While reading these reviews keep in mind critics usually emerge only when they have a negative experience. There are many satisfied members at this LA fitness.

Ive been going to this LA Fitness for about 2 years now, and the fact that nothing has gotten better says it all. I only keep going because its close to work, but theres an X-sport across the street. Maybe Ill go there instead.... Machines are not well maintained, the area itself is dirty, and the staff stands around as if theres nothing to do when there always is. Only one of them has a passing interest in keeping the free weights organized, which is nice. Oh and dont go on "Member Appreciation day." Theyll play music too loudly and tell you to just deal with it if you complain.

My friends and I had a very bad experience with the General Manager Nick. From the moment we walked in to the moment i left. He is a snake and will do anything it takes to meet his sales quota for the month. When we called him out on his lies and bad attitude he denied it all while being on his cell the entire time and like the coward he is walked into his office and shut the door on us when i asked him for his ID number to complain to Corporate. I work in sales and my GM would never everr coduct himself in such manner.

It is pretty basic. Nothing super extraordinary or marvelous to say, but it has the basic equipment needed for a workout. The convenience is nice though, and theyve been around since (at least) Ballys time. Some of the equipment is old and lacking, and I think they had a single functioning bar clip in the entire gym last time I went. When I asked the front desk if they had any extras, she said only what was on the floor.... Not the pinnacle of safety.

Just revisited this club been a while..Wow what a turn-around, the place was crap as Ballys now its new owners LA Fitness have turned it around, now super clean and the staff is friendly & helpful Managers Ryan & Stephanie were great! I signed a new membership on the spot! very different from previous experience. They need some upgrades and equipment a gym for hoops would be nice. over all 5 stars for the makeover! love it!
