Took my car to 4 shops on Saturday to get my muffler looked at. The problem was obvious, my muffler pipe had rusted and will need a section replaced. Note: this is a 2000 BMW M5, with stainless system. Reason this section rusted is due to a previously repair section that is no longer stainless. Midas was the 3rd shop I went to to get a price. Heres what took place. 1. the rep told me it will not be a simple fix, to replace the exhaust with factory parts, will be thousands. 2. When I asked to see if they can just weld a section with aluminized pipe, like the first two shops suggested, and quoted from 200 ~ 250, the rep insisted on taking a look. I pointed out the problem thats visible without getting on the lift, he insisted on getting it on a lift. 3. Before the car got on the lift, the KID took my car, reved it, and decided to take it for a test drive without my agreement (which I would NOT have). 4. Before I was able to get out of the office to tell him NO TEST DRIVE, the KID peeled off right in front of me, and proceeded down the street at FULL acceleration. Notice, an M5 can accelerate pretty fast and is very loud, so it is no surprise he redlined my car thru first 2 gears. 5. By the time he returned 5 min later (despite my request for him to come back IMMEDIATELY), my car had error codes on my dash, with traction control and tire control alerts. Upon further inspection, my rear tire threads got chipped off, AND my clutch is ticking. God only knows what happened in that 5 min interval, and what corners the KID ended up doing to my car. I will NEVER go back to any Midas. BTW, Midas shop techs were rude to me since I was pretty upset, they told me to get out of there because they didnt want my attitude... Cant believe that.

This story happened to me several years ago, but I am writing this in order to warn other customers. I brought my Toyota corolla to this body shop for the tire replacement. There were two black mechanics who served my car. So one of them just unplugged electric cord to the fan of my cars radiator. I still dont know what the hell made them to do this utterly stupid and criminal thing. You never know what is going on in their ghetto brains. I just remember the moment how they were conspiratorially smirked to each other and clapped their hands while working on my car. I didnt pay attention to this detail at that moment. So after my car was ready, I was driving on a road, in about two miles my radiator just blew off sending a huge cloud of hot vapor around. My car was towed to another body shop where a mechanic confirmed that the cause of explosion was because somebody just uplugged the electric cord from the radiators fan. I still can not comprehend the absolute stupidity, recklessness and danger of such act. Because they might have just killed me if my car had exploded in the middle of the highway. Each time I am driving near this body shop the memory of this accident haunts me.

I have had nothing but good experiences here since it has been taken over by new management. I dont know what it was like before, but now it is run very well. I am extremely happy with the service I have received. Several shops recommended that I get all four brake pads and rotors replaced. The people at Midas showed me that I only needed the front rotors and brake pads replaced and the rear were fine. They told me they would need to be replaced eventually but I had at least another 10,000 miles on them. This kind of honesty will keep me coming back to them in the future. I would recommend them to my family and friends without reservation.

Just got a simple oil change today. For the first time in 8 years, I wasnt told my car was about to explode, that my air filter was going to give me cancer...etc. Eddie is friendly and professional. Refreshing to finally know where I can get my oil changed without all the BS you get at JiffyLube and places like that.

Im from Kansas and I was in a Skokie for a job. My tire popped and I just needed a used tire to get home. Tire was very low price and the guy put it on in under 20 minutes because I said I had some place I needed to be. Roger was very friendly and Im very glad I had a great experience!

I sent my daughter to Midas in Morton Grove and Car-X in Skokie for an estimate for muffler noise. The employee at Midas was rude with my daughter and their quote was almost 3x the amount of Car-X. Needless to say Car X got my business.

Says they are open 8 to 3 on Sundays. Get to the shop and they are NOT open. Total joke. Dont go here. If you are too lazy to update your Web listing think of the job they will do on your car. Save yourself. Go elsewhere.
