Not to sound like a broken record but its true, Aviv and his crew are literally as good and honest as all the previous reviews say. (minus patch man) Ive been going to Factory Muffler & Complete Auto Repair for almost 2 years now and have always been satisfied. I too went in once thinking my car needed something specific and Aviv said no it was not necessary. I have recently had them replace all my brakes, exhaust system and also do a few minor things (oil change, tire rotation, etc) and though my total cost was up there, it was still a more than fair price for the amount of work, the quality of work and the turn around time I received. The best compliment you can pay someone that works in a customer service industry, is a referral, and because of great experiences had here, Factory Muffler on Devon in Chicago are now the car shop to more than 6 of my co-workers/friends. Cant speak highly enough of this shop and its friendly staff.

I, like most people, are weary of most mechanic shops, considering them corrupt places to throw away your money. At Factory Muffler, this is not the case. Servicemen are very friendly and tell you exactly what is wrong with your car and dont try to push pricier, unneeded service. Service is also very efficient and fast- I dropped my car off at 8 and had them change my transmission fluid, replace my front breaks and rotors and replace my serpentine belt. It was all completed by 9:45. You can tell that the shop is trusted and known in the community, as many neighborhood residents stopped by to say hello, and many people that came through the door were known on a first-name basis by the owners. This is an excellent sign. The servicemen were very friendly and asked me about my life and background as well. HIGHLY RECCOMENDED!

If you are like me, you are skeptical about mechanics because of their bad reputation and probably because you have been burned too. Well despair no longer because Factory Muffler and Complete Auto Repair is the place to go. I brought my car in because it was making a weird noise and I could smell exhaust. (Naturally, I thought I was going to need a new muffler and possibly a new exhaust system because when I have patronized the national chains I have ended up paying for repairs on things I did not even know were broken.) The mechanic told me my problem was a LOOSE BOLT and while I will eventually need a new exhaust system he told me I could hold out for a while! It cost me less than 10% of what I was anticipating on paying to fix it!!! Their friendliness and honestly instantly made me a lifetime customer.

Aviv is the most honest mechanic I have ever used. A story that demonstrates his honesty: I just came from the dealership where the mechanic was adament that I needed to replace my tire. I went to factory muffler to get a second opinion, Aviv patched my tire for $10. He saved me a couple hundred dollars.

We have a used car dealership in Chicago, and we send many of our cars to this shop for repair. They give us great prices, and always give us the best solution to our problems. Sometimes we think we need a big repair, and they tell us we dont. Very honest guys, and they do great work.

Totally agree with all the previous reviews! Very honest professional, Aviv did everything he can to get my car fixed at a fair price. Even after he found out that it will cost more, he honored the price he gave me during the first call. Finally found a good place for car trouble!

Asked about balancing a patched tire and was told they dont do patches. Read on here that someone patched their tire 3 weeks ago. Dont let the smiles fool you, lie once and i guarantee theyll lie again.
