It took the older generation at Birkholz many years to build an image of uncompromising quality and customer service. Nowadays, however, my experience shows a strong direction towards a focus on making a quick buck on that same image. My dealer sent my car there for a rust repair on a four year old Honda. The paint was only applied to the visible, outside of the car while the rust around the hinges of the tailgate was untouched. On top of that, the paint came off the Honda Logo after being removed for the paintjob. After the dealer called them, they agreed to paint the logo. Once I picked it up, I noticed a dent on the exact location of the logo. After bringing this up to Tony, he just shrug his shoulders and said people dent there tailgates all the time. Anyways, a few months later, I have a freshly painted Honda Logo and a dent in the tailgate. When they painted the car, I never received a call if I wanted the dents (if they were already there) removed. I just dont know how a company with such a quality image can either paint over the dents or accuse the customer of putting the dent on the car the day I picked it up? Somewhere at Birkholz are the traditional german quality aspirations, but in my case they surrendered to quick and cheap work coupled with nonchalant attitude about me denting my own car and accusing them. Very disappointed!

When i dropped off my car i was never even told anything about how long a simple bumper replacement would take. I called and left a message asking for a follow up call to give me a rough estimate on how long it would take even though my car has already been there for 4 days (3 of which they were open). In the call i explained i knew it wasnt going to be exact as its hard to estimate with how busy they are, but to still call and give me a heads up so i would know if i needed to get a rental. Havent heard a response yet after. Guess they dont take young adults seriously no matter how nice i have been to their employees at every time i have spoken to them. I have a strong feeling that due to my age theyre not taking my buisness seriously. Even though its an insurance claim im still a customer that chose on this specific repair shop. Ive learned from my mistakes. Edit: got my car back pretty quick after the fact. They did a great job on my bumper.

Would not recommend at all! Chose them even though they were the higher of the quotes I received. Increased the price of the parts they ordered for my repair after the work was completed. I had already paid the price they gave me in full and parts were already received. Never mentioned the increase when I went in with car before service to check that they had what they needed and didnt mention again when i came in for the repairs. Worse yet the man i dealt with was extremely rude and condescending. Also was way overcharged by their labor estimate. Have already told all my friends and neighbors to never go here.

I had a wonderful experience with Birkholz. I had the opportunity to work with Jason, and he was professional, courteous and in touch with me through the entire repair process. He kept me updated via email when I was out of the country, and remembered me personally when I called in and didnt need to look up a file. Great quality repair, fantastic communication, wouldnt take my car anywhere else.

Had my car for three months before someone decided to vandalize it. Needless to say, I was a bit upset. Took it to Birkholz and worked with Tony and Olaf and I must say, they did an absolutely fantastic job. Relatively quick turnaround, awesome communication and the car does indeed look like it did brand new. Thanks guys! Highly highly recommend.

Great automobile repair for higher end cars such as Mercedes Benz and BMW. They offer top of the line repairs with a good warranty. Many area BMW dealerships refer their customers to Birkholz.

They do great work, but Ive had to go elsewhere several times because of unrealistic wait times of over 30 days to start. Dropped to three stars for repeated poor service.
