I chose to use Jackson after hearing good things about them for my familys move from Chicago to Montreal. The experience working with them up to the pick-up was great. They were supposed to pick up on May 28th (which they did) and store our stuff for a month, and deliver on July 1. Everyone was friendly and helpful.... Until yesterday. Before I agreed to use them, I was explicitly told by the rep I worked with that while our stuff may not be delivered on July 1 (the delivery date), it wouldnt be more than 2 or 3 days max afterwards. Yesterday I called to find out if they had a better idea of when the truck would arrive, and was told that they dont have a driver for it, and dont have any idea when it would be. Possibly not until the 14th (as apparently was put as the window of delivery on the confirmation letter)! Now, had they not specifically told me verbally that it would be a max of a couple days over, I would have looked for another company, or at least been aware. Also, if they didnt have a full month to find a driver, it would be a little more understanding that they didnt have anyone to get our stuff here. But they have had our stuff in storage since May 28 and still have not found a driver to ship all our belongings to us. To this point, they have made no attempt to make things right, since in writing it did say it could be until the 14th (shame on me for not reading the confirmation letter after we had contracted with them). No calls to the sales person have been returned. And to top it all off, they have already charged my credit card for the full amount, when the sales person Brandon had told me that we wouldnt pay a penny until it was received. When I asked about that yesterday, they said they could have waited to charge the card, but didnt know to, and now there would be a fee to reverse the charges until I get my stuff. Very unhappy, and unless I hear otherwise from them, my advice is use someone else!!!

I would not recommend this moving company. We moved from Naperville to Colorado. They combined our goods with another out of state shipment on the same truck but they ran out of space on the truck. They crammed items into the truck and even had items hang out the back when they left out house to be "repacked later". In Colorado there was a different crew who unloaded the truck. They where surly and not very good. I packed the majority of the house. The items I packed came through okay. The items the movers packed/protected came through with some damage - mainly crush or rubbing damage. They also lost some pieces that were attached to things like vacuum and lawn mowers. I have submitted an insurance claim on the damage and five months later we are still trying to work through it. I have moved my stuff from Europe to the states and across states before and this has been the worse experience to date. Avoid.

I chose Jackson after reviewing many moving companies. My experience with them was nothing less than excellent. They were both professional and curteous from the first phone call to the placement of the last piece of furntiure. I needed to store my furniture for a few months before moving in and wondered about how everything would stay together. They took the time to explain the process and reassure me and in the end everything was delivered and well cared for. As for the move itself, they were polite, considerate of the condition of my new home and ultra careful with my items. There was one item that was cracked, due to my own packing negligence, yet they offer to replace it! Now that is number one customer service all around!

Very good choice for a local move. They came out to our place and gave a quote. They used an item list of almost everything in the house to build the quote. They were very helpful, friendly and accomodating. I would have given them 5 stars except for one mistake. There was a clerical error, and they drove to the wrong storage location after loading the truck, resulting in a delay of an hour and a half. They comped the time though, so we didnt have to pay for it, so that says something. Other than that mistake, it was very easy and straightforward.

I used Jackson Moving for a personal move from Chicago area to Birmingham, AL. Both Angel, with whom I worked over the phone, and Paul, who was in charge of the moving crew, were fantastic. Both were very patient with me while still being professional and very personable. I did have some glitches in my moving process and Angel in particular was wonderul in helping me as I got over those glitches. I enjoyed working with both of them and I would use Jackson Moving again because of Angel and Paul! Hats off to both of you!

My top choice for both local or international movers is Jackson Moving and storage. The movers are very professional and I feel like they actually care as opposed to the other movers that I have used in the past. Great service and when I needed something addressed, the management went the extra mile to make me happy. This speaks volumes about how they treat their customers. Everything related to moving was handle so professionally and I didnt feel like I had to baby sit them. Takes away the hassle of moving!

Chris Ruiz and his crew did a fantastic job with my move on Monday, May 24. The team was very professional, efficient, and easy to work with. I was especially impressed that they helped repair a broken leg on one of my pieces of furniture -- the leg had broken long ago, but they took the time to examine the situation and glue the leg back together. I would be happy to recommend Chris and his team as well as Jackson Moving to others and certainly will use your company again when we move.

Couldnt have had a more positive experience. I had a last minute move, and Jackson was able to coordinate everything in a very tight time frame. The guys did a fantastic job with a full pack house, and delivery was right on time. All items arrived safe and sound... no damage, nothing missing. Highly recommended!
