We had another plumber come to our home to clear a blockage from our kitchen sink drain. They power rodded the line but, in 4 months. the problem had returned. We called that plumber back and they said the drain had to be hydrojetted and the cost would be over $ 600. We began searching for other plumbers to hydrojet the line for a lower price. Most flatly refused to perform that service at all, but, suggested a procedure called chain knocking OR offered power rodding at over $400 (over twice the price we paid originally) claiming that the first company did a poor job because "you get what you pay for." Finally we found reliance and they agreed to hydrojet the line "only if absolutely necessary" but they sent a supervisor to assess the problem free. Having assessed the problem, he said he wanted to send out one of their employees who had 20 years experience to handle the job because, if it did need to be hydrojetted, he had experience to do the job correctly. When they came, that afternoon, the service technician did a thorough assessment of the problem and found that it could be handled by power rodding the line from upstairs instead of the kitchen sink line which had been rodded previously. After working the rod through the line from above quite a few times, he was successful to remove all the blockage and make the sink drain freely again, without the extra expense of hydrojetting. Although it took almost 2 hours, the cost was still much less than any other company had estimated. All the Reliance employees were very courteous and professional. I heartily recommend them for your plumbing needs!

TOP NOTCH! Response time, friendly, responsible, and a mobile inventory in their huge truck! We called Charles moments before the Sabbath hour in need of emergency help with a sewage problem. He said they would be there within the hour. 45 minutes later, Michael Santa arrived. Charles had told him it was our Sabbath and he told us not to worry and enjoy dinner. A couple hours later he came up stairs with the problem repaired. Such required installation of a new Injector pump (he carried several on the truck) and additional issues upstairs. Michael told us the emergency was over, but tow problems remained - Additional work upstairs and the cleanup of contaminated water. While willing to complete the work that evening, he offered to return the next day (at no additional charge!)as not to further disturb Sabbath observance. As for the cleanup, he had a few companies to recommend. When I told he we wouldn’t be able to arrange such on the Sabbath, he took it upon himself to resolve it for us. The next morning, there was Michael to complete the job and take care of the cleanup crew who arrived shortly thereafter. I will never do business with them again. First of, after not using them for a few years, because I didnt like their technician, I decided to give them another chance. Joe was their technician, he was supposed to look at the main pipe connecting with main sewer for cracks. He told me about my options, but never showed me pictures of the pipe. later he told me about the special that Reliance was running which includes rooting every drain in the house, I agreed. While he was working I noticed he was downstairs by the kitchen counter, I thought he was getting some paper towels, turns out he took one of the steak knifes without permission. After he was done with the job, bathtub stopper was not working, I asked him to fix it, and he did, he was going to leave without fixing it. Turns out he broke the stopper, now I have a leak in our family room because of that. I have another pumping company working, they had to open up the ceiling to fix the leak. Now I will need to have someone fix drywall and paint the ceiling. Speaking of the steak knife, that Joe took, he broke it. I found knifes handle in the knife box after he left.

Alex (the owner) and his team at Reliance were fantastic! I got one quote for a drain tile system from another company and saved hundreds of dollars by going with Reliance. Alex and his crew of three got the job done in 5 hours, minimized the mess and cleaned up when they were done. I have used Reliance in the past for various smaller jobs and was nervous about this bigger job but my fears were quickly erased as Alex explained step by step what they were going to do and made sure I understood the entire process. The job was done quickly and professionally and I highly recommend them for any job. I felt very comfortable with this company and they didnt try to up-sell me on anything I didnt need. I rarely make recommendations but in this case, theyre the best company for plumbing needs. I will continue to use them in the future. Looking forward to enjoying my dry basement for a long time.

I LOVE THIS COMPANY!!! After the terrible rain storm this summer, I had to have my sewer system raised. When I called for an estimate, Reliance came the same day that I called. I was so impressed by the estimate - they told me information I needed to know that no other company informed me of - that I hired them immediately. They impressed me on the job site. They cleaned up every day and were so professional! The work they did is A+++! I highly recommend them for any job; in fact, I have already recommended them to my family and friends who now use their services. Thank you Reliance!!

These guys are Awesome. We had an issue with the city requiring immediate testing of our back flow device or they would be shutting off our water. Reliance came out same day and tested, but found the device to be damaged(thx to landscaper not removing over winter). Given they had pretty much a warehouse on wheels, they did have in truck and replaced on the spot. A little pricey but if you want a professional company that can handle with ease, these are the guys. BONUS !!! They contacted the city and updated the paperwork so saved me time dealing with it. Definitely use again.

Being an owner of a General Contracting company, I find that one of the hardest tasks is finding a good and reliable subcontractor. With that said, I have been using Reliance for years ! To be completely honest, yes, they are a bit more expensive than others, but, they are the best in the business ! They show up exactly when you need them and do the job to perfection. Ive never had to manage them while they are on a job. In short, yes , I would recommend this outfit to anyone.

I called Reliance Plumbing, and within few hours, Ron came in and gave me a free estimate. He told me about the problems, and was very open on how we should go about doing this to fix the problem. He showed me few options with different sump pumps and went with the best suitable one. His work was excellent, and was very happy with the service. Definitely, Ron, and Reliance Plumbing Company, is the best choice in the Northwest Suburbs of Chicago. A+ Job.
