If I could give this place zero stars, I would. Services that were performed were fixing a broken axle, and the shocks. This location told me the car was ready. I live about 40 minutes out because my car broke down in Tinley Park where I work and I was forced to tow it somewhere near there. The car was NOT ready, like I was told. the ABS light was ON, and it was NOT before. The abs has never had a problem, until I took it to Pep Boys. Also, my car was in the lot, and left UNLOCKED. Absolutely no respect for other peoples vehicles. The employee told me to "come back in the morning" to get it "checked" after they had my car for almost a week. I was furious. Do NOT tell me it is ready when A LIGHT THAT WASNT ON BEFORE IS ON, and provide no explanation!! I drove 40 minutes, thinking my car was ready when I had to leave it there again, for an entire week. I was without a car for almost two weeks because they decided that it would be a good idea to mess with the abs, when it was not an issue. Extremely inconvenient. They did NOTHING to solve the problem. Then, they tell me the abs sensor part is discontinued, and they " cant find the part" so it cant be fixed because the sensor "broke". A total lie. The service manager also told us that we didnt understand what he said and that he can get " a Greek interpreter" if needed. So rude!! We speak english...really? Instead of solving our issue, he was spending his time insulting us. I am convinced someone STOLE the part out of my vehicle, and this is why they provided no explanation and no solution. How does a light go on out of nowhere, for a part that is discontinued? Looks like one of the thief mechanics needed the part, and saw one on ours and decided to take it out, thinking he would get away with it. I will tell everyone I know to NOT take their car to this location specifically and any Pep Boys for that matter. I am disgusted that I received such horrible customer service.

I had an awful experience at PepBoys in Orland Park tonight! I walked into the store 5 min before closing (mind you the doors were still open and lights on!) Just to return something. As we were walking into the store guy working there asked what he can help us with because they are closing in few min. So I told him I just have a return. Right away he tells me he doesnt know if he can still help me. Then says did you buy it in this store? I didnt and I told him so- so he says he doesnt know if hell be able to help me then. At this point I knew I wont be helped in this store. I asked him why not? Since when stores dont expect returns from other location? Why doesnt it say so on their return policy if thats the case? The guy told me Im being rude when I asked him how come he cant pull up my receipt on his computer? Maybe because their computers were off already and he didnt feel like turning them on??? But he sure didnt feel like his fighting with me and being rude to me was wasting of his time. I am reaching out to customer service about this. I cant believe they can be so rude to you whenever they feel like it. They sure arent that rude when you are spending money in their store! Very disssapointed!

I had my control arms replaced alost a year ago I paid $600. Today I went to a mechanic since I herd a noise. He told me it was lower control arm. So I called pepboys and Mike was on the phone with me. He told me my control arms were under warranty but Id have to pay for labor. I asked how much labor would be and he told me $600. That does not make sense I told mike. Mike told me on the phone it make perfect sense that I pay that. I told him it should be lower than $600 because I payed that same $600 a yearfor my control arms all together. Mike told me to come so they can look at it. I have spent $2700 in a course of 3 years of me owning my car. I will be asking for my part since its under warranty heading to a different shop wIll do it cheaper. My parents and I have spent so much money here over the years on our car repairs. You can look up the repairs we have had by you guys at pepboys. I feel like this shop cares more about taking advantage of people for money. I understand stand that the auto techs male a living but I feel like I have over paided since I have brought my car. I have been a loyal customer and this feels like a slap in my face

So far, these reviews are right on point. I had my car towed to pep boys after speaking with the representative parts/service Rich i believe. He told me the technician would check my car out when it arrived. 2 hours after the car was delivered, I called to get an update. Rich claimed they were closing and there was nothing they could do, that they would call me tomorrow. Called again today speaking with Joe, and they treated me like an idiot, claiming they told me 2 days... gave me an excuse that the technician is not working today. As of right now, i dont believe anything they say... I have been in customer service for 8 years. This location does not treat customers with respect whatsoever. Once they have your car, they play the " well, we have your car now so you have to wait" game. Bottom line, they promised services and did not deliver. Dont expect them to keep their commitments... I could call and raise hell, but that wont change anything with these guys....

I made an appointment for Pep Boys to check my brakes. Appointment was on Saturday 11/7 at 8:30 am. Got there at 8:20am and spoke to the Manager, George, who said it would be about an hour before they got to my vehicle. Then why make an appointment for 8:30????? At 9:05 I asked George about how much longer it would be and he snaps back at me "I told you and hour". At 9:40 an hour and ten minutes later; after seeing other customers come in and be taken care of, I told George to give me my keys back as I was going somewhere else for brakes. He gave me my keys back and said thanks. I would think that if George knew what he was doing the first thing he would of said, "you will be next" BUT Georges lack of customer service and Pep Boys lack of management training showed their true colors. In my opinion George is too arrogant to be service manager at Pep Boys. This store will never get my business again.

I had an appointment at 8am for an oil change. Steve at the counter said it would be a two hour wait, what?? When I asked why, he said customers schedule appointments online which conflict with appointments by phone so they get double and triple booked? You have 2-3 times the amount of customers booking appointments online rather than calling or showing up? Im suppose to believe that? That is Pep Boys problem, not their customers. Another employee spoke up and said "theyre on a hiring freeze too!" Id have a bad attitude like Steve too if I had to tell the same BS story to customers all day long in an attempt to justify a 2 hour wait for an oil change. Needless to say, I went across the street to Oil and Auto Experts and got an oil change in literally less than 10 minutes. My parents and I have used Pep Boys many times over the years but I think its time to give someone else a try.
