I was at your facility today looking for a place to store my things when I move out next month and was greeted by one of your sales girl Renee, at first I thought I was going to be going into a car dealer but what a pleasure she was to deal with, after I explained my situation to her she understood I wasnt ready to move my things until the end of April so she didnt pressure me into something I didnt need or want at this time, she discussed all the possibilities and sizes to me knowing that I wasnt signing a contract today, when I first went inside the store she greeted me with a smile and a warm welcome, she was so polite it wasnt like your use to seeing at stores by being pressured into things you dont need or want. I will definitely use this facility when I move my things next month because if the people treat you as nice as I was today I know they will also do the same for my things! I rarely write reviews but I had to leave these guys a comment. They went above and beyond to help me out when I was in a jam. I work from home and had been contemplating renting a storage unit for some time. Sure enough, late Friday afternoon I received a huge shipment and I had no where to store it. I stopped in 15 mins before Carlos was leaving for the day and he helped me out. He showed me a couple units and signed me up in no time. He even reset the system a few times so my log-in code would work so I could come back and put my boxes in storage the same night. I dont know what I would have done without Carols and Lock Up Self Storage. Im so happy with this place. Great customer service over there. Im telling everyone who is in the market for a storage unit to go to Lock Up. Thanks for the amazing customer service.

From what I can see from my calendar, I have been a Tenant at the Lock Up Self Storage since the Fall of 2005. Since that time I have experienced exceptional housekeeping around the building, always courteous service and, most importantly, an experience that I often recommend to friends and colleagues. In particular, I want to single out Carl Faulkner the site manager. He is an ambassador that every company should strive to hire. Always a warm hello and always time for a conversation that makes you feel at home. Carl single handedly transforms a building full of storage lockers into a community that you can feel good about. It is without hesitation that I will continue to recommend the Lock Up Self Storage (specifically the Old Orchard property) for my friends that are in need of storage space.

Almost seven years ago, after clearing out my parents home, I needed to store all of their collections. Carl Faulkner, the manager of the Skokie LockUp, showed me many units, finally deciding on a large main floor space. Over the years, while slowly selling and tossing memorabilia, Carl kept my spirits up, and encouraged my endeavors. He always remained very professional, yet helpful; even giving me a little extra heat during the winter, when he knew I would be in my unit for several hours. I have always felt that my treasures were in safe keeping and knew that a sincere welcome would be greeting me when I arrived to work. The space has always been clean and very professionally managed. I would recommend it.

Great customer service is hard to find these days but not at The Lockup Self Storage in Skokie. Carl the manager exceeded our expectations on that end. The facility itself is immaculate, very well lit, secure and a first rate operation. By far the best storage facility weve ever rented from! We had two storage units there and couldnt have been happier with the exceptional service and professionalism demonstrated by Carl and his team in attending to our storage needs. They go the extra mile. Weve had several different storage units at other facilities in the past, none that come close to comparing to this one. If you are looking for storage facility, look no further. You wont be disappointed!

We have an small association management business with several dozen clients and needed a place to store old records and materials. The LockUp has worked out great. We bought some metal shelving from the LockUp and are able to keep everyones records stored efficiently, in an organized manner in a safe, temperature/humidity controlled environment. We have been customers since 2007 and are still very happy. The staff, in particular Carl Faulkner, have been very helpful and friendly. How many storage lockers can you have where, just like in "Cheers," they know your name?

Who knew that a storage facility could be so ideal? I had a few units there for an extended period of time and the conditions were perfect to sort and eliminate. I had to move things out from a building that my grandparents and parents built and occupied for more than 60 years. It was a lot to deal with, but The LockUp Storage in Skokie made it easy. Temperature is controlled and dust was nonexistent. It made my transition to a new home almost effortless because it was easy to organize at the storage unit. Friendly and helpful staff couldnt have been better.

I am a cheerleader for MALEEKA BRANHAM at the Skokie Lock Up. She is the kind of person that takes care of customers in a caring way. She is genuinely cheerful, attentive and helpful. I have seen her cleaning up and making sure that everything is in good condition. She is the kind of person who will scope out potential problems instead of waiting for them to happen.The Lock Up management should be happy and proud to have an employee like Maleeka. Just moved after 25 years! Carl Faulkner (manager) helped make my decision to store my condo furnishings at his location due to his good-natured, cooperative spirit, and follow-through to notify me of a single 10x15 unit, just when it became available. The facility is extremely clean, well lit, and secure. I am storing for an indefinite time, but I have every confidence my property is safe and easily accessible. I also appreciate the box and wrapping supplies readily available on site, as well as the ease of parking.

This past weekend, after almost seven years as a happy tenant, I moved out of my two units. Carl was there at the beginning, and there at the end, attaining for me confidant status, second only to priests, rabbis, barbers, doctors, and attorneys. In those seven years, I probably lost my credit card four times, and I always got a pleasant call from Carl when my autopay hiccuped. The place is convenient, safe, clean, etc. Having packing supplies reasonably for sale on site certainly helps! Carl, so long, my friend!

I have been working with this location for over 3 years now and I have never had a bad experience. Carl and his staff are pleasant, polite, and great to work with. The location itself has ample parking both indoor and outdoor and the place is kept extremely tidy. I have been to other facilities, outside “The Lock Up” group, and they are not even in the same ball park of comparison. I would recommend this place for anyone who is looking for affordable, clean, and climate controlled storage!
