I have never had any problems with extra space storage until tonight! I called in to the store and spoke with sarah, a manager there. I told her I would like to make a payment and she kept trying to give me the number to the automative system. When I told her id like to pay with her like I always did she told me shed call back. She called back and tried to direct me to the auto pay number once again. I made it clear to her that id like to pay right then and there with her on the phone! She said shed call back yet again because she was busy renting out a storage space. The third time she called I made my payment and told her I would be moving out TONIGHT! she stated that storage would close at 10pm tonight and to make sure when I come im out by that time. When I arrived to the storage to get my things a little before 8 pm. I approach my storage and see a huge red lock * one in which I dont have a key for), on my storage. I was unable to get in. Sarah forgot to take off the late payment lock!! I call the 800 number and they were empathetic and did everything they could to reach her. An hour almost passed and I finally got a call from steve, another store manager who apologized about the situation and let me know that he would turn around and get there in 20 minutes! He was on time as promised and removed the lock that sarah had forgotten to take off after I paid. Steve let us know that the facility would close at 10 and to try and make it out as fast as possible. He was very pleasant in saying so. We moved quickly but at some point lost track of time. I believ it was 15 minutes after 10 when sarah drove up aggressively to us and yelled at us to get off the premises. She was very rude and ignorant! No way a manager should act!!! She told us to take the truck out the gate even though my furniture was not tied down on the flat belt. She said get out the gate so I can go home. I explained to her that had she done her job in the first place I wouldnt be in this situation and she said she did not care and that we needed to leave now! She yelled at my mover and told him to get out. I guess on the way out I dropped glass she told me to hurry up. When I asked if I should leave the broken glass she said no take it and leave. She didnt even offer help and I ended uo cutting myself. I was bleeding and she told me to go out side with that! Wtf does that mean?! Point is steve should have never had to come out to fix her mess and then she comes out of no where not caring about the whole situation she caused.!!!! Sarah tou should be demoted you careless rude ..... you get rhe point. Steve thank you! I will be reporting what you said to my mover and myself to you dm!

After getting frustrated by extra fees and poor customer service at another storage company, I went into Extra Space Storage nearby. The difference was like night and day. Manager Sarah greeted me pleasantly and introduced herself immediately. She was busy with another customer but explained a few things to me and continued to engage both of us while working to resolve everyones concerns. I was impressed with the cleanliness and organization of the facility as well as Sarahs attitude and focus on customer service. She is the reason I will consider Extra Space for any future needs.

After submitting keys for gates and 15 day prior notice, contract was never cancelled! After 3 months I had to deal with collections on my own and prove my self that a lot i have rented, has been vacated. Inside parking lot there is a dumpster that gets overloaded very often, wind gets trash all over the place, did not see them bothering to pick all up. Property manager Sarah, is "friendly" only when you sign in, good luck after that. Before it was "Metro Self Storage", it was a lot better. I have switched to competitors. Never coming back nor recommend it.

I just had the best experience ever. My boyfriend and I have been looking for a storage space at a great price. We decided to check this place out because of the deals they had online. We walked in there just as she was locking the doors. She still helped us and ended up getting us a better deal than the ones online. Her service was amazing. Definitely recommend it.

They are the best here Sarah goes out of her way to accomidate you answers all concerns and questions. My father in law is Spanish speaking only we went one other place prior to finding you and they made rude comments due to him speaking Spanish here with you, did not Sarah accomidated him and spoke Spanish to him you guys are the best I will be back again!!!!!!

We stored our vehicles over the winter period in this branch of extra Space Storage. We where very welcomed by Sarah and Steve and when we heard about the lot of snow Chicago had they answered our e-mails quickly and we had the feeling those two looked really after our units. Researched a few storages facilities in the area and this is by far the best one! Erin and Steve are super nice and extremely helpful. Storage unit is perfect and the price cant be beat. Place is convenient to get to and there is plenty of space. Clean too! I highly recommend coming in to see for yourself

This facility is clean and the staff is friendly and helpful. I had some billing problems at the beginning which took a lot of effort on my part to have remedied. Getting through the driveway can be tight at times when other customers are there. Overall, it is a good storage place for the price.
