Dont get me wrong, depending on the day, this could be a great place to take your car... They quoted me for $1,800! But the day I went, I took it in for an emissions test. Before I went in, I told them of my check engine light. I drop it off, head into work and get a call from them the next day. The quote on my car was $1800, he said started listing off what COULD BE!! causing the engine light. From a slightly leaking radiator, to replacing the catalytic converter, etc... All for JUST IN CASE I fail the test.. I say no, I cant pay for that. I suppose they may have only been asking my permission to charge the $1800, then have done trial and error until the cause was found for me to pay less.. So then after paying $100, standard for a diagnostic fee?? Maybe... I drove out of there check engine light free (they must have reset it), and then passed my emissions test at the Crystal Lake Testing facility with no problem. A week later, my engine light came back on, but...

Im 66, live alone. Took my car in for simple oil change. They told me I need inner/outer tie rod repair Now. The bill was $300.00. I decided to go home and think about it. I asked the Roadway Truck repair, my neighbor If they could give me a ride home after taking my car to Meineke. Tim replied they could do the repair for me. The next morning they put my car up and found NOTHING WRONG. MEINEKE TRIED TO RIP ME OFF!!!! I have my car home and still have $300 in my pocket. BEWARE OF THEIR SCAMS. I have had other repairs done by Meineke. Were those scams TOO? I wouldnt even give them 1 star, but had to in order to post.

Took over 2 hours to complete my oil change and tire alignment. When I got back home, someone had turned on my parking lights for no reason and without telling me that they had did this. Since it was still light out, I had no idea they were on until I came out at night with a dead battery. Whoever was in my car did not need to touch my parking lights. Very disappointed and upset.

Had my emission test done there for free last week. I was fearing a hard sale for other services. Five minutes after I sat down, in comes the young man and told me the car was ready and it passed the test! No hard sell, just a thank you for bring the car there for the test. For my next oil change, Im taking it there!

Clean and professional. Ive had my oil changed here several times and its been a good experience. They seem honest and have alerted me several times to problems that needed attention. I never felt that they pressured me into letting them do the work either. A happy customer

I just went there for the first time Saturday morning at 7 am then later that night my car started smoking and I discover they didnt put any oil in it which blew my engine worst place very unprofessional

Told me they had conventional oil, but when I got their different story. I wasted time and gas. Also their call center was going to send me to St Charles, MO instead of St Charles, Il.
