My experience with Midas in Aurora is overall not very good. After visiting the repair garage for a pre-trip check. The first problem is that the night owl service is non-existent. There was not a clear place to place the keys so we had to go back the next morning. The other disappointing factor was that a trip check should look at the tires and evaluate them and their road worthiness. This did not happen. As a result of this oversight we experienced a blowout. The only thing that was offered was an apology for this oversight. They completed $1700 of repairs but did not mention that the tires were not wearing evenly. Then when we had the flat the spare was not fully inflated which made the problem worse. Instead what was recommended was my catalytic converter be replaced. No response was made on BBB and so now they have been downgraded to a B since customer service is not on their minds.

Went to this shop to have a new Catalytic Converter install because mine was stolen while my Honda Element was parked at the Train station in town. They preformed the job, but after having inspected by my local Honda dealer it due to the check engine light coming on found that they they installed the WRONG converter on my car. When we called to tell them about it the only thing they offered to do was offer a refund on the part if we paid a restocking fee, no refund for labor preformed even though it is guaranteed. Not being from Aurora, IL I know that i will not be going back there to have repairs done, but if you reading this to figure out whether or not to have this shop do work on your car I would recommend that you look else where, as they didnt use the right parts with my car repair.

This was my first time at this location and I saw on their website that you needed to call to setup an appointment So I Called to try and set up an appointment to get an oil change and the girl I noticed immediately was not friendly she had a sarcastic tone and sounded as if I was stupid for calling to get an appointment for an oil change instead of just coming in. She told me I could just show up and they would be able to do it so I said okay Ill be there in a minute. Get there less than 10 minutes later and went in (talked to the same girl) and she told me that I needed to make an appointment if I wanted to get an oil change. I dont know what their process is but they either need to fix the process or get new employees. Safe to say Im not going to this location again

I called and talked to the owner this morning to make an oil change and tire rotation appointment, I said it didnt matter if it was today or tomorrow. He said how about 2:30 this afternoon, I said fine. I get there at 2:30 and its like he never heard of me! You dont have an appointment he says! After he realized that he did talk to me he goes to another computer and says - oh, here it is! No matter, I wont be able to even get you in for at least a 1/2 hour, cant do the tire rotation today at all, you will have to come back....needless to say this was not a very good customer service experience especially coming from the owner. I left since I did not feel like spending the whole afternoon there for simple services I had made an appointment for.

T-Mobile gave away a free basic oil change to its subscribers, up to $25. So I went. I wont go into details but the guy behind the counter was insanely grumpy and I dont think he has ever smiled. Then he showed me the invoice, I had to pay $8, something about taxes and fees and I needed an upgraded oil filter. Ive never paid more than $28 for an oil change and Ive owned my car for 6 years. For some reason my car didnt qualify for a basic oil change. Theres a big sign in front of the place, $19.99 for oil change, but Im not allowed to get that one. I did not pay and I will go to my regular shop for an oil change. He angrily crumpled the invoice paper as I left. I might have paid if the guy working the counter showed any semblance of respect.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS - Went for an oil change. They provide a free tire alignment, so I told them to do it if they thought it needed done. It took awhile, but no big deal. As soon as I leave, the breaks are instantly making an odd noise. Since I was driving back to my parents that day, I took it to the local mechanic weve trusted for 20 years. He takes one look at it and notices that they had pulled off a drum on the rear break (which should never be done during a tire rotation). A single break pad had then been badly misaligned before the drum was replaced. The local mechanic fixed it for $15 -- but I have a feeling if I had gone back to Meinke it would have been much more.

THEY ARE CROOKS ! Got an oil change and now my car is all of the sudden mis firing and stalling out and dying on me. Took it back the first time and they said " oops we forgot to connect a vacuum line" took it back a couple days later because it was stalling on me and dying then they said they would have to charge me to look at it. Seriously had I been a man they wouldn't have tried to take advantage of me. How does an oil change cause your car to have all these problems. On top of that the guys were rude and tried changing their story when I threatened to file a neglect claim through my insurance. Shady !

I went in for an oil change & upgraded to a more expensive package, that INCLUDED a list of items they were going to do with the change. It was my fault that I didnt ask more questions, including the cost (I thought the "included" items were free). They did include the checks that were listed, BUT... if you had them do the actual work they suggested you needed, the cost of the item had the additional charge for labor (usually about twice the cost of the item) My advice, ask more questions BEFORE you give the OK to do the work... especially ask HOW MUCH.

The worst place ever. My first experience This **cken senior guy. He refused to put synthetic blend oil for my car.. he lied and said that he only can put synthetic... i called another mienke center where i used to go and they checked that i can put synthetic blend to the car... I realized that he lied because there was a pretty lady came just right after i came in and he wanted to put me away and serve her instead!

Came here and they said I wasnt in the computer for an appointment. I have the confirmation email for my appointment. The guy blamed the Internet. Its not the Internet, its your shop. You would think a big company like this would have a decent appointment setting system. Now I have to wait an extra half hour to an hour.
