My boyfriend had troubles with his car dying while he was driving, so he took it to this AAMCO. The FIRST trip concluded in a few hours with regular tune ups, which they claimed to be the solution. The price tag wasnt horrible. The next day when my boyfriend was driving to work, his car died again. He dealt with the owner the first time he called, but when he called them again, the owner was nowhere to be found. He then took it back to AAMCO for the SECOND time, so they could actually check for a problem instead of shrugging it off to tune ups. He didnt hear back from them for four days! They finally call saying the car is ready to pick up with a new starter and battery, which cost a pretty penny. We went back today to get the car, and on his way home, my boyfriends car YET AGAIN died while he was driving down a busy road. AAMCO offered to call and pay for a tow truck, but we are expecting a refund of the wasted time and money. I cannot believe these people are willing to charge an arm and a leg, and still not fix any problems, or even bother looking deeper than the surface! UPDATE: the owner laughed in my face when i asked for a refund. He then proceeded to tell us that the car is done for, after asking to do a $500 diagnostic. He knew the car was done for from the start, but he is STILL trying to squeeze money out of a customer.

The technicians at aamco were very professional. They were very quick diagnosing the issues with my vehicle. I was certain there was a transmission problem with it and was anticipating them telling me an expensive repair was in order. After they did a free inspection, they told me everything was fine and all I needed was a transmission flush. I appreciate the fact that they did not try to get anything extra out of my service and it goes a long way towards earning my trust and confidence. If I need further service, I will go back and I definitely recommend this shop to others. Ask for Rick Pennington, he was the person that helped me.

My car is at the shop now as I type this. I bought a car not even 30 days ago and it ended up having an alternator problem and the dealership sent me here to have it fixed (at no cost to me). I had called at 7am on Tuesday morning and they answered the phone very politely even though I was calling so early. Then after my husband dropped off the car I called again and I got an update and a time on when my car would be done. Because of Thanksgiving it wouldnt be ready until Friday which was perfectly fine with me. I have really appreciated the friendly communication and the realistic time frame for the repair. Thank you.

I had them do a wheel bearing replacement on my Ford Focus. They were able to complete the work the same day despite being overwhelmed and from what I understood having to pay people overtime. This was the same week as the Blizzard of 2015. They were more than professional with me and extremely helpful and polite. I will be needing more work done on my Focus and I will be coming back to them. Great prices and an honest approach to their customers. I would highly recommend them to anyone and despite other reviews, they seem to be doing fine without Rick :)

I recently brought my vehicle here for a full transmission diagnostic. I was amazed when I was told to get my transmission flushed. The man told me to either get it done there or somewhere else. They care about more than just the money. It seems that they care about repeating business. I trust their opinions, and I will definitely be back in the future for service. My boyfriend was just there, and they gave him the bitter truth about his car. Their honesty is unlike most other shops. They will now be our trusted mechanics going forward.

We recently had our transmission rebuilt on our 01 Honda Odyssey. They did an outstanding job and the van is running just great. The people here are the real deal. I can not tell you enough how much we appreciated the kind support I received. A special big thank you to Rick who is a really good guy. Mr. John Ploger and the other associates at AAMCO of Aurora were awesome! I got a flat tire right in front of their shop and even though they only really do transmission and clutch repair, they put my spare tire on for me and were so wonderful, nice, and efficient. They truly helped me in a pinch and I will always remember that they went out of their way to help someone who wasnt even a customer. I cant imagine better customer service from anyone. I cant say enough about the great service I received. John and the mechanics were very thorough in analyzing the issues with my vehicle, communicating the solutions (one of which I was able to do myself and save some money) and got my car back to me at a fair price as quickly as possible. While it is about a 20 minute drive for me, I will certainly return to this Aamco location if I have any future issues with either of my vehicles.

I dropped in here the other day to have the guys take a look at my transmission. The person I talked to that day was very courteous, the service was prompt, and they answered all of my questions. Most importantly, they didnt try to sell me on services that I didnt need or wouldnt benefit from -- they easily couldve, since Im not a car expert! For that level of honesty, I would say that this is a good place to go.

WOW! What great service from start to finish. We were in a pinch with a broken AC for a Wheelchair Accessible Bus. They were able to squeeze us in and have the bus done by Monday morning so we were able to continue with services as scheduled. Great customer service and quality of work!
