I am a very careful shopper and do make sure to write reviews, when I feel they are warranted, good or bad. Part of being a careful shopper, as anyone knows by reading this, is to check out all the reviews online and make an informed decision, before spending your money. I own a Cadillac CTS and checked this repair facility about repairing my rear window power mechanism. Tom gave me a fair price, but I had no idea at the time, as I hadnt checked his facility online, or received any other quotes up to that point. So after getting home I called around. The nearest Cadillac dealer wanted 1/2 hour labor to give me an estimate. The Chevy dealership wanted a full hour (149.00) to give the estimate, but they were 20 minutes closer and would provide a loaner. So I went to the Chevy dealer for an estimate and before incurring the 149.00 fee I requested a "worst case scenario " quote, as Tom had given me. The amount he gave me was far above what Tom quoted and I promptly brought my car back to him. He also gave me a courtesy ride home, which he does for customers without someone to drop them off and pick them up. I recommend this repair facility to anyone in or around Elgin IL.

Went there for an oil change and tire rotation. Service was slow as slow could be. Had an appointment made. Arrived early and stood and waited for help as there was 4 workers just standing around doing nothing. Only one other customer in store who was being helped by another employee. Once I was helped, car was taken in shop. Took over an hour for standard oil change and rotating of tires. While my service tech was working on my car, the other employees sat in back room watching tv or on internet. Paperwork stated that all fluids were filled. Once I left, checked washer fluid and it was empty. Store was closed by then because my basic service took SO long. Called following day and spoke to manager about problem and was told by him that it was my fault and my car must be leaking washer fluid. I explained to him that my car was new and did not leak,but if it would have leaked they would have seen it with the amount of time my car was on lift. Manager replied by saying that they always fill fluids. He was very rude. Will NEVER go back

Have brought my car to this location for years and Troy and his staff have always done an excellent job. I never have problems and the work is always completed on time, excellent service and best of all they are always honest!!! Recently I had forgotten that my brake fluid had been flushed and changed with my last brake job. I brought it in to have an oil change and to flush the braking system and change the brake fluid. Tom realized that it had been changed last time and rather than charge me for a service I didnt need and was not done, they just informed me and no charges!! Many a service center would charge and not think anything of it. I thank them for their honesty and would refer any friend or co-worker to come here for their car service. Mark F.

Besides offering good service at fair prices, Ive found Troy & Chris to be extremely honest. Having four different cars serviced over the past 8 or 9 years there, they have had several opportunities to take advantage of me--I asked for services which they could have performed & charged for. However, they found that I didnt need them at that time, and did not perform the unneeded service. You cant ask for a better trifecta-good service, fair prices, and integrity. Thanks Guys! John R. Troy & Chris were recommended by a friend as I experienced issues with a local competitor. Both took time to explain things and options, that did not always include them as the fix. I appreciated this and have been taking all of my cars to them every since. They are down to earth people who seem to understand peoples issues today with the economy and work with you to keep your car on the road. Thanks Guys!

I love Tuffy in Elgin! This is the ONLY place I will go. Ive gone to other places, but Troy has always been honest with me and has looked out for us to save us money when other mechanics have tried to cheat us. Even after moving nearly 50 miles away, I only trust Troy and his mechanics at Tuffy to touch our cars.

Both Tom and Troy are excellent at what they do. They tell you whats wrong with your vehicle and what needs to be fixed at a very reasonable price. I have been going there for a while now and plan to take all my vehicles there for maintenance and repairs. Keep up the good work!

Went in with a problem they took a look at it and charged $99 dollars. Normally they would let me count that $99 dollars towards the repair cost, but this time they would not. So instead of paying $400 for the actual repair, I would have to pay $500.

I have been going to Tuffy for about 9-10 years now. I even moved 50 miles from Tuffy and I still come back to them. They are dependable, honest and never try and cheat you out of anything. I highly rec. Tuffy in Elgin!!!

They were very efficient. They got me in on time and checked my tires and other basic things to make sure everything was working correctly. I have been bringing my cars there since I moved to Gilberts.
