First and last time customer. I came in with a 2007 Camry that had brand new brakes installed in front. New pads, calipers and rotors. I decided to come in because one of the rotors was overheating and I couldnt seem to figure out why. Everything was bled right and the brakes worked perfectly. I decided to go and have a professional look at it. After two days of guessing and putting in useless work that didnt solve the problem, I was informed that with 75%-80% certainty that the problem was the master cylinder. They wanted $600 for the replacement of something that wasnt even the problem. I came to pick my car up to only realize how awful of a bleed job they did on my brakes causing me to press the pedal all the way to the floor. They assured me that they inspected everything and that everything was done correctly and that theyd be more than happy to take a look at it. After two days of not having my car I was done with this place. I was also charged $130 dollars for replacement of the new caliper that didnt even need to be replaced! This place is a joke. Nice guys that have no clue what theyre doing. I got the problem resolved in under an hour at a different place and it cost me $80.

Another fantastic experience getting my car serviced by Kevin at Fox River Tire and his staff. So its 6:00pm and the shop is about to close. My alternator went out. I called Kevin to let him know my son was going to attempt to make the drive from Yorkville to St. Charles. Of course he did not make it to the shop. The car died on Randall road. I called Kevin and told him what had happened. So the owner of this operation throws a new battery into his truck at closing time and drives to meet my son. Kevin replaces the battery in the parking lot so my son could make it to the shop. How many owners would do that!!! This is why I only used Fox River Tire for all of my car needs. The service and quality of work are second to none in the area. Thanks again to the owner and staff at Fox River. You guys ROCK!

I was more than pleased with the services Ive received at Fox River Tire. My 2004 Maxima with very high mileage had a check engine light. I called Kevin and scheduled it for diagnosis. He provided a detailed inspection complete with photos and recommendations. He even gave his professional opinion regarding how much money to spend versus investing in a newer vehicle. This shop was recommended to me by a friend and fellow brother in Christ. In todays world its hard to find honesty and integrity in customer service but at Fox River Tire I was treated with just that. I would highly recommend this establishment to others and I look foward to building a lasting relationship with them. Thanks guys and May God bless you all.

Fox River Tire has earned my business for life. After taking my car to two other national chains in the area to (unsuccessfully) Diagnose my car’s check engine light and rough idle, Fox River Tire’s qualified staff had it figured out and repaired in the same day, going out of their way to drop me off at home while they worked on my car. They kept me informed of progress being made and although there was a slight increase in the price originally quoted (which was apparently due to parts availability) they never proceeded with the work until they heard back from me. This is the kind of superior service you expect from a mechanic shop – now my mechanic shop. Special thanks to Kevin B. who made it all happen!

The service provided by Fox River Tire and Auto was beyond exceptional! Many months ago I came in for an estimate to do some major repairs on an older car we were giving to our son for graduation. Not only did Kevin honor the price that he had previously quoted but he also made some additional adjustments and repairs at no additional cost! To say that they are courteous and responsive is a gross understatement. The quality of the work and the care with which they managed our expectations and how they treated us is better than Ive ever experienced anywhere...in ANY kind of business! If you take your car anywhere else to get anything from a simple oil change to massive work, youre nuts!

I drove 25 miles on a recommendation that Fox River Tire was a quality shop to work on my high-performance car. My experience was that and more! Ramon & Tyler are knowledgeable technicians who took their time to answer my questions and corrected the alignment on the vehicle. I had the alignment set a shop local to me but the rear end still had some step out and the car just didn’t accelerate correct. Ramon was able to correct all of the above and I believe the car handles better now than the day I purchased it new. Their waiting room & restrooms are clean and orderly. Merel & Kevin were friendly and easy to chat with. I would recommend bringing your car here for repair.

Their reputation hasnt caught up with their current actual work. I brought in a car I was considering purchasing for a thorough inspection. They said all was well and charged me $35ish. I took a look myself and found large amounts of straw above a wheel well, apparently a critter had made a home. I brought it back to them to ask how a thorough inspection could have missed the straw. Two of their techs had the audacity to say that a critter must have setup shop in the time I had the car (absolving them). I brought the car directly to them... I switched to Reber and Foley, not that theyve proven themselves better yet, but I cant justify trusting Fox River Tire any more.

I have been very happy at Fox River Tire over the years, with both tires and mechanic work. They know tires! And i have what is basically an antique work van that is no longer manufactured, and everything about it is difficult to work on. They have tackled one or two difficult jobs for me on this vehicle. There is still more to do, and I will be back. I definitely recommend Fox River Tire. They have done good work for me for many years. When I bought this used work van, it had inappropriate tires. They found me the correct specialty tires and even traded me the price of the new spare for the existing incorrect tires, which happened to be new tires. Wallace Thompson

I always have a hard time finding a GOOD and respectful Auto repair shop. I recently used Fox River Tire & Auto and from the time I called in to when I picked up my car, the service and quality was above and beyond. The guys that work there know about GOOD quality customer service. What I really liked was I did not know what the problem was with my car (I had an idea.. but I really dont know about cars). They were able to send me pictures of the issue in my vehicle and told me specifically what needed to be done, and got my approval before they started! Great Service and Good customer service! Found my new Auto Repair shop!

I have use Fox River Tire twice. Both times the service was great, knowledgeable and friendly staff. They even picked dropped me off and picked me up at work. With that level of service, I was disappointed to see grease smudge marks and transmission fluid dripped on the front of my car as well as grease smudge marks on the interior. I was also surprised to see items from my trunk in my backseat, which Im sure they were looking for my wheel lock, but put the items back where they came from. I will continue to use Fox River Tire but I will certainly have a good look around the car before I leave.
