staff ok/friendly.... kept up well..... clean....and fairly warm even in the winter in the inside storage units. Number 1: When you get a unit, they will try to sell insurance which they will say is required. Do you have anything of real value in the locker? READ THIS: If you have homeowners/condo insurance, most all insurance policies will also cover a separate storage facility - so simply make a call to your insurance agent, ask them the question and they will say "yes, a place like public storage would be covered" through the insurance you already have.....and GET a copy of your plan - the insurance agent can easily email a personalized letter addressed to you Show this as proof to the public storage manager as "proof of insurance" and you do not need to pay the extra $10/month. This is similar to how car rental places have always tried to scam you into getting insurance - when with most every car insurance policy out there, your personal insurance already covers car rental places. Note that Public Storage uses Willis Insurance....OMG...... please "google this" this for the fun of it if you have time - and you will see the unbelievable pure greedy scam. I even came across a local news broadcast video (some other state) on how people are ripped-off with Willis Insurance through Public Storage. Read all the reviews, posts of Willis Insurance....and you will see it is ALMOST impossible to get your $$$ if you do put in a claim. It is simply an added $$$ generating revenue for them. Bottom line - SCREW public storage insurance - worthless - and nothing but a added line $$ to your monthly invoice - you would be throwing away about $10 a month added to your bill. Number 2: There are NO cameras at Public Storage in Saint Charles. None that will videotape outside YOUR storage unit.... This is NOT typical of storage facilities. Have a problem/break-in and ask them to check the "tape" ??? - there is no tape. You are total mercy of someone with a boltcutter snapping off your padlock - accomplished in 3 seconds when no one is around at 800pm on a weeknight and even management is gone. Again - no tape. No proof, no case against them - period. Number 3: At final invoice on 2.2017, I was paying $64 for a 5x5 unit. The cost inched up about $5 every year.... i was there about 5 years... Number 4: I am NOW paying $29 every month (inside unit 5x5) at U-STOR-IT in Streamwood off of 59 and 19 Irving Park. Newer Place - tons of cameras all videotaping with signs that say "SMILE - your on camera"... They also tried to sell insurance - saying it is required, and I showed my homeowners policy and avoided the 10 extra a month. $29 beats $64 I tried when I switched to call Public Storage and offer if they would match the $29 I would stay - they said no.

The 5 STARS are for Ryan. Public Storage gets 3 STARS. I just moved my schtuff out of the Public Storage this weekend after travelling across the country. Although I was not happy regarding the rent increases which made my unit higher than most of the other Public Storage facilities in the area, I am still grateful my schtuff was in a secure facility. I attribute this to the conscientiousness of Ryan. While on the road I have kept in contact with him and he was absolutely kind, courteous and knowledgeable with any questions I asked. When I arrived in St. Charles, Illinois to move my belongings out, he made my moving out of the facility a breeze. Thank you Ryan. I truly appreciate all your help. :0) Donna

I might have given this excellent facility SIX stars except for the fact that Denise got a sunburn over the weekend and it hurts to look at her. She plowed through a mountain of paperwork in a very businesslike but rapid way, so that I understood thoroughly everything I was signing and all of the legal nuances of their liability, etc. The assigned space is waiting anxiously for our stuff and I cant wait to get it there. If you decide to use this very nice facility, and I think you should, call ahead to ask Denise if she is wearing her Public Storage Orange fingernail polish that day.

Had a good experience here until my move out. Upon moving out we found mouse droppings in the unit and paint had been peeled off the furniture due to the high humidity in my "climate controlled unit". Also, there is no dumpster on site for guests to use. When asked, the manager said it would not be worth it to spend hundreds of dollars to have customer trash removed. I would spend your money elsewhere. Not a great price and you really do not get much. Denise was very nice when we signed, not very nice when we left. Glad we will never have to deal with that place again.

Very easy registration, good online deals. Helpful and friendly staff, clean facility, code pass security gate entering and exiting. I gave this four stars instead of five for the following reasons: limited surveillance/security compared to other facilities I have used; climate control is heat only, no air conditioning in summer in "climate controlled" units: narrow exit path-if someone is unloading on the east side, cars can not get by due to vehicle storage parking there.

This is my second or third time renting a storage space at this location. I always rent inside units. Everything is always clean and well maintained. Never had an issue with mold or any of my belongings getting ruined. The prices could be a little lower but the location works for me and the employees at this location have always been great. I really appreciate all of Ryans help this last time. Great attitude and extremely helpful.

Most excellent storage experience ever! The manager Denise was friendly, extremely helpful, accommodating and went above and beyond to ensure our storage needs were thoroughly met. She also made sure the process of getting our things moved into storage there went pleasantly and smoothly with no detail over-looked. We are so happy to have found a safe place for storage with caring staff we can rely on for support and assistance.

Great Company with outstanding customer service. I spoke with Ryan Smith who, boy if I could steal him for my company I would in heartbeat. He is a true beacon of genuine sincerity when it comes to what a customer service professional should be. If this man is not running his own Public Storage installment or is not promoted to a regional manager in charge of customer satisfaction I will be truly disappointed.

Went in to see about storing some items and left a faithful customer! Denise was super friendly and very knowledgeable. She got me in a unit that will fit my stuff and give me some room to walk around in witch will be very helpful as we are in a bit of a hurry to move out and wont know what goes where. She also made sure that all my items are packed correctly to avoid damage. Thanks for all your help Denise!

I recently came to this public storage location with a friend to purchase some boxes for a move. The experience was a fantastic one. Ryan, the sales associate, couldnt have Benn more helpful. He was very knowledgable of the inventory, and was able to direct us to exactly what we needed. I know for sure that I will return to this location for any other moving or storage needs.
