My mailman is constantly screwing up my mail. I was out of town the last few days due to my mothers death. Packages that say they were delivered were not. My packages are delivered to mail lockers. There was no notice that the mailman took them back. I know he did because he gets very upset if you dont take your packages right away. He has taken them back to the post office before without leaving me a slip, so I have no doubt this is what happened while I was gone. The worst part was when I called the post office and explained my situation, including my mothers death, the lady was so rude to. She asked me in a rude tone why I didnt put my mail on hold. My mailbox was not full. She wouldnt even check to see if the packages were there. She said it would take at least 2 days to investigate. She was very cold. The manager who was so cold and rude to me was Lila Sandoval. A few years back the same mailman was returning my mail back to senders telling them I know longer lived at my address. This was illegal. They even admitted it at post office. It took me over a year to get it straightened out. It seems at Wheeling post office they think that they are untouchable, so bad customer service is the norm. When I talk to people on USPS national number they are very sweet and kind. They usually will help me fix the problem and apologize for Wheeling.

Negative stars if it were possible... Let me preface this by saying that I have NEVER written a negative review regarding an establishment before. So congratulations for being so egregiously disconnected with how to interact with another human being that I was prompted to write this a week after my interactions. How do any of you still have a job? Short version - I get the runaround for 4 days on a package that was "forwarded to another address" after being told they would hold it at the office. Get talked down to and treated like I have a cognitive disability and would not be able to understand what happened with my package. Was told there is no manager. Package not received and no hope of finding out what happened even though it, at one time, was at the post office and was supposed to be held for me to pick up. Complete disregard for anyone as a human being.

For me to go out of my way to complain, they had to be horrible. I went to the post office And a lady named Sun was at the window. I asked about taking passport pictures and she said that they didnt do them there. I pointed to the large sign that reads "Passport Pictures here". She said there was no one there to take the pictures...maybe tomorrow. I asked what time tomorrow, she said maybe Friday(today is barely wednesday) I left looking for an alternative place. I called the post office number hoping someone else might pick up that knew about passport pictures. The lady named Sun picked up once again and told me to hold on- 23 minutes on hold before someone at the other end hung up on me. With service like this, theres no question why the postal service is going out of service. :(

Can barely give them a star. Horrible customer service. have an issue every time i go there, and i use this post office couple times a week because it is the closest one to my work place. The staff acts like they do me a favor every time. Normally if i drop off the package, other USPS offices scan them right away and give me receipt on demand. In this one they just tell me that they dont have to scan it every time on demand and they never give me receipts, they just refuse to do so. Once I left package on the counter by their advice and it was just gone and after they told me that i never submitted it to them and refused to investigate even though they have cameras on the facility. Seems like they just hired a bunch of rude and lazy morrons

Horrible customer service! Dont waste your time here. They always have one clerk and shes super slow and on top of that she tries to sell you services you dont want (insurance, next day service, etc) wasting even more time while people are waiting. I was waiting in line for 5 minutes today and then she didnt want to mail my packages because I had too many (13) and there were 4 people behind me. Well, speed up or get help. Her name is Suzan..."lazy Suzan" and super slow. I had to drive to Prospect Heights post office to mail my packages. There was a line there too but the two clerks are efficient and fast. I will never go to Wheeling again, what a waste of time.

i think they might not have a tech person working there. over the years weve had multiple problems with them involving getting information through certain USPS systems and/or payments made through the website. every time they would say that "the website/the program has been giving us problems lately". but again, this is years. And phone calls with the USPS main office have not only gone well, its clear that the people from the main office are exasperated with these issues. Anyways, always work with them directly, never over the internet. And if its a service that requires them to use their systems, forget it. go to a different location.

One star = hate it. True. First, they lost registered mail. Never answered phone and written requests. TWICE!!! they called and asked me (70+ yrs old) to come to the office to pick up a letter and upon my arrival they could not find a letter there! Almost two week later I found a letter in the mailbox. Second, the carrier took mail from the drop box inside the building, put it on the bench nearby and left. Third. When called to the post office regarding the left mail, they asked me to wait. After 25 minutes of waiting I redialed the number and they said: we are busy, call later. One star. Hate.

Horrible service. We had a gift to be delivered to us (my baby blanket) and signature required. The mailman screwed up the whole thing, and didnt even leave a notice that he tried to deliver. He could have also easily left it at the building office as they usually do, and get a signature from one of the people who work there. He didnt do that either, we tried finding out where the baby blanket is, and it appears to be in limbo. Super pissed off- and the mailman is not friendly at all- talk about miserable people completely hating their jobs.THEY NEED ADDITIONAL TRAINING!!!

Jesus these people are so ridiculous!!! I had to send an important papers to Cook County Clerk in order to receive a birth certificate. I got a bigger envelope than regular, obviously my mistake that it was underpaid for 0,70$ . Now after almost 3 weeks i received my envelope back in my mailbox! 3 DAMN WEEKS it took them to send me back an envelope from the office which is couple miles away from my house!!!!and bc of this people my baby is still without health insurance!!!!! Last time im using USPS services, goodbye!!!

Terrible service!! 2 years ago my package that was send from them got lost!! Unfortunatly I did not take a Receit!! My bad!! I told them on many occasion about this situation!! Now I am learning that letters to me are not delivered as they said " adress do not exist etc"... But half of other mail is delivered!! I told them many times but today again got a phone call from AllState that my mail was return to them ...!! Trying to call post office !!!nobidy knows nothing!! I will take legal action against them!!!
