I ordered two separate packages that were supposed to be delivered two days apart. Apparently my apartment is incredibly difficult to find because both of them were sent back to the post office to be forewarded to the sender. My apartment is on the third floor. Hmm. Interesting. I double checked the addresses on both orders and both of them were correct. Fedex had just delived a package to my roommate a day before. Same address. I called the post office today to see if they could tell me why they were never delivered, and I called twice and was on hold for about 3 - 4 minutes before getting disconnected. The third time I called I finally got ahold of a person after 6 minutes. She was very short with me right off the bat. I explained the situation and she put me back on hold for a few more minutes. When she got back on the line with me she said it was a "Mis-sent" package, and other than that she couldnt really tell me why they wouldnt have just delivered the stupid things or at least sent them to the leasing office. I offered to go and pick them up from there, but apparently they had already left and were back on their way to California. Thanks guys. You really dropped the ball on this one.

I have lived in PA, IL, VA, CA, MT, and IN. In most states more than one city. Without doubt, the post office in Carmel IN is the worst one Ive ever experienced. For example, I work from home, I was waiting for an Express Mail delivery from a customer. I got an Email from the postal service that at 3:11PM the delivery was attempted but nobody was home. Sorry... I was home, but it was RAINING and our delivery person didnt want to get out of her truck. Today no mail was delivered, why... snow in front of the mail box. BS... I shoveled a place early this morning... LAZY delivery person. But... I can see the Starbucks from my back porch and the post office truck sat there for 45 minutes in the middle of the afternoon. The clerks in the post office a reasonably friendly until you need them to mover more than ten feet... then they quickly become LAZY. I also have a box at the post office for my business. At least three times a week I have other peoples main in my box, even though the PO box number is clearly not mine. How much of my mail is put into other boxes? But, Im sure the post master has been there for years, cannot be fired, and could not care less.

The absolute post office I have ever been to. It is run completely inefficiently. There are "workers" there who will direct you to a line, and then just stand there as the line grows to fifteen to twenty people. One worker directed people just picking up mail to a door with an opening and to step out of their place in line. She then proceeded to go through that door and closed it behind her to never come out again. The lines are constantly long because at times they only have one person working the counter. It is an awful experience at this post office. Dont go right when they open up, or during lunch, or in the afternoon when everyone gets off work. In fact, I would wholly recommend not coming to this post office unless you have to.

Unlike other reviews, I believe things are improving a lot during the last months. I have had the opportunity to speak to most of the employees working there, especially during the last year and, quite frankly, all have been very nice with me. Mr. Troy and the Post Master as well were incredibly friendly during my last visit this week when I had some questions about the new services being offered at this Post Office location. Parking is free, very convenient and the self -service machines easy to use. My mail has not been lost so far and every time I have a question someone kindly comes to my help. A very good service to me. I will give them around 4.5 stars but google only allows round numbers.

Very friendly place. I visit this post office almost every other day and meet with at least one agent on a daily basis. I volunteer for couple of non-profits and have a post box there. No matter what time you go there, 8:00am or 6:00pm, every one are pleasant and happy to help. I dont know why some one would write bad comments about this place unless they are frustrated with their own problems and come to the post office with a negative attitude ! Also every one who read the comments must understand one thing - every unhappy customer will post a review because they want to vent their negative energy, but only one in 1000 happy customer will write a review - Thanks for reading !

Laziest workers I have ever seen. It takes forever to get any customer service at the package pick-up and when someone finally does show up they just take your ticket and disappear; maybe theyll come back, maybe they wont, maybe they lack the IQ points needed to find the door again. After only a couple of months, I will have to turn in the key to my PO Box - what good is it if you cant pick-up the mail delivered to it? I never had this problem at the UPS store and thats where Ill go tomorrow to get a mailbox. No wonder so many people want to dismantle the USPS; they cost a lot of money and they dont appear to be able to do anything useful.

Id leave 0 stars if I could. WOW what a difference between Fishers and Carmel post offices. I never once had an issue in 8 years living in Fishers but I move to Carmel and they have managed to jack up SEVERAL package deliveries because of laziness in just the past 3 months. Ive personally seen the courier toss/throw my packages more than 10-15 because she was too lazy to walk the extra distance. They just left a Delivery Notice because the package would not fit in our mailbox and apparently the courier was too lazy to drive up our driveway and walk 30 to the doorstep. Im already VERY tired of their horrible service.

Sometimes its an uneventful experience, but more often a frustration, to visit the Carmel post office. I had a complicated issue there this past Saturday. The employee I spoke with was indifferent at best. I left with my situation unresolved and feeling frustrated at the waste of time. I know these employees are swamped and trying to do their best. Still, changes are needed. Maybe they could take a page from the BMVs playbook! The overhaul of the BMV made a night-and-day difference, proving it is possible for the government to get it right.

If I could rate this facility less than 1 star I would. I experienced terrible customer service today and was made to feel like I didnt know what I was talking about. The person helping me was very rude and condescending. This is not the first time Ive witnessed this type of behavior here, but the first time Ive experienced it first hand. The staff really needs some customer service training. I will not return to this location. I was able to go to the Nora location and have everything taken care of quickly and with superior service and help!
