Dean called and arrived as promised. He was very courteous and professional and took the time to inspect and discuss the various plumbing issues I have at my house. He took the time to write up various options for fixing these problems. Once I saw the prices, I was only able to proceed with the most important to me which was replacing the kitchen faucet and sink with ones I had purchased from Lowes. Even after using the Angies List deal, the price for the work seemed high as I knew Lowes stated charge to install the sink. Dean seemed to take pride in his work and the result shows it. Overall Im very pleased. Ill probably get another estimate elsewhere before deciding about the remaining work, though. follow up, posted the next month on Angies List: I had purchased an Angies List Deal, $265 of plumbing for $59, glad to be saving $206. The serviceman who came to the house couldnt have been more courteous and professional. He took the time to listen to all my plumbing issues, which were 2 leaky faucets, a sump pump not working properly, and a kitchen sink and faucet to be replaced. He wrote up various options for fixing these problems. Once I saw the prices, I decided to have only the kitchen sink and faucet replaced. I had already purchased a new sink and a new faucet from Lowes, and while I knew Lowes charge to install just the sink was $235, once you have $59 into a project with the serviceman right there and ready to work and you have bought the parts, I decided to go ahead with the sink and faucet. The charge was $675 which included $202 for installing 2 shut off valves not previously there. The serviceman seemed to take pride in his work and the results show it. It was nice after several months to finally have a kitchen sink and faucet that could be used again. He also installed the new soap dispenser and reconnected the existing garbage disposal. The joy was tempered by the fact that the water came out of the faucet in only a pencil size stream of water, not nearly the water flow or pressure the old faucet had. The serviceman thought that the problem was possibly build up in the old galvanized water pipes, or the water pressure itself. It was disappointing that after spending over $1,000 on parts and installation, I was still left with a problem to deal with. A few days later I went to Lowes to see if they had any ideas why the water was not flowing as it should out of the new faucet I had purchased there. While there I learned that Lowes charge of $235 to install a sink also included installing a faucet, soap dispenser, and disposal. This compares with $532 (59+675-202) Service Plus charged to do the same work. So instead of saving $206 I spent $297 more than if Lowes had done the installations. Not happy about this. The following week another plumbing company came by to give me an estimate for the remaining work. While there, the serviceman repaired one of the leaky faucets simply by tightening it. He also solved the problem with the newly installed faucet simply by removing the sprayer head, cleaning it out, and putting it back on. Even though the faucet was new, some debris was clogging the water flow. Now I have a shiny new faucet, shiny new sink that works great and am a happy camper, except for the installation cost.

I have dealt with Service plus on multiple occasions. The reason I have decided to keep using them is because of my first experience with them and some of the other guys in town. We had an A/C unit go out in our Newly purchased house. We knew that the units would need to get replaced eventually we just didnt plan on it being within a year of buying the home. When shopping around the first company came out and asked if anyone else had come out to quote me on the job I politely informed him that I had 2 other people coming out that same day however they were stacked to be 2 hours apart. I was told instantly that it was not enough time for him to give a proper quote so he would look at everything and measure what needed to be measure and then come back later in the week. That was fine since I was new to all this I felt like maybe this was standard. The second company was an hour late in showing up so his time was really cut short. Then Chris came out and saw that the other company was there and came up to the door and told me he would be waiting in his truck until I was free. After a few minutes I told the other guy to do whatever else he needed to do but I was going to start talking to Chris. As we started talking and going through the house we discussed all of the possibilities on what we could replace and when. We then sat down to talk about cost of everything and I was informed of many different options that we could go with. We did go over the 2 hour slot that I had setup for everyone else however with this being a Saturday Chris told me he had all the time in the world to make sure we were informed on all of the different brands and efficiency that they offer. To me that meant a lot because we had discussed his family and mine so I knew there was some where else he would much rather be. Just before he left he made sure that he gave us our quote with a couple of different options. We told him it would take us a few days to get back with him and he said that he would check back up on us in a few days to make sure we didnt have anymore questions. We then were able to talk to the first company that came out 2 days later which was a joke. When we started to try and talk cost he kept saying that was the lowest he could go and he was giving us all the discounts that he could find in the system but hang on I will call my Manager. Which he did to us at least 3 times after that I was pretty much done with him but my wife still wanted to way our options. After hounding the 2nd company I finally got my quote 4 days after they were out. When we decided to go with Service Plus I placed a call to the other companies to be courteous. One company sales person was not so happy about it and I was yelled at through the phone about how I wasted his time! Service Plus came out at the day and time we discussed and installed 2 new A/C units and 2 Furnaces all in that same day. My wife and I could not be more thrilled about the service we have received from Service Plus on both our Homes.

I called Service Plus to check on the cost of a Furnace Inspection/Tune-up. I also had some questions regarding an inoperable water softener. The customer service representative recommended that I consider their Service Partner Membership. The Service Partner Membership includes, amongst other benefits, an A/C and Furnace Inspection/Tune-up, and a Home Plumbing Inspection. I purchased the Service Partner Membership with the expectation that I would be able to have my yearly furnace inspection completed, an AC Inspection/Tune-up in the Spring, and also have my water softener evaluated as a part of the Home Plumbing Inspection. I tried to make sure that my intentions and expectations were clearly stated and understood by the customer service representative. I was assured that my expectations would be met. My expectations were exceeded. Two Service Plus employees (Furnace Specialist and Plumbing Specialist) were scheduled to provide the services indicated. Both specialists called ahead and arrived within the window of time scheduled. The following comments apply to both specialists and the services they provided. I can group these comments together because both specialists provided a level of service that can only be classified as exceptional. I was treated with respect. My home was treated with respect. The process that was used was thorough and allowed me the time to express my concerns and questions prior to the specialists beginning their work. All of my concerns were addressed with detailed explanations regarding the related components purpose, current functioning condition, and potential options to improve effectiveness, efficiency, or remediation of non-functioning components. At the end of the day, I felt as though I had been educated, informed and better prepared to address ongoing maintenance and required repairs. I will now evaluate my options and prioritize my needs. If I need assistance to perform this work, I will call Service Plus. It was clear that this company has instituted a set of Corporate Values and Standardized Processes that each employee is carrying out to the field.
