No stars! (One star because it wont let you post a review if you dont pick one) This company was contracted through big chain hardware store to put a new roof on my house. They no-showed/no-called on the day that they were supposed to begin tear-off and when I called to see what the issue was, David Palmer lied to me to cover up the fact that they did not obtain a work permit. He actually said that it was an issue with the city. I called the city and was told that there was absolutely no record of request for a roofing permit from the company. Called the big chain hardware back with my concerns and received a call from Richmond, this time from a gentleman who explained it was a mix up of "he thought I did, I though he did" in obtaining the permit. The job was rescheduled for today against my better judgement. Should have told them to take a long walk when they were dishonest but to my own fault, I like to give second chances. After all, we all make mistakes. Fritz with Richmond Exteriors showed up in the morning at 730ish today and sat around in the driveway for an hour and a half and then left. Received a call that there was a scheduling issue with the crew and that they would start tomorrow instead. Nope. Youre done. You outright lie, have the worst communication for a company that I have ever dealt with and I would not trust you to pooper scoop the yard at this point. I will let the job sit, with supplies in the driveway, for a company who might actually like to work when they say they are going to and hopefully do so with honesty and integrity. Shameful excuse for a company. Dont waste your time with these folks. They are not worth the frustration.

When the young man came and gave me a quote on gutters it was half the price of the competition. He let me know that my house didnt need as many downspouts as it currently had. When the installers came, the first thing they did was get upset because there was a partial rubber roof in the back, he starts telling me (single female) that its not mentioned in the contract, he doesnt have the right tools, it will probably cost more, he needs to call the company, and hes not telling me these things nicely, he was mad like I had something to do with it. I let him know I had the drill bit they needed to do it. (Of course the next day when I asked for my bit back, they told me the guy that isnt there today has it, and I never got it back. Now for the fun part, I get up on the roof 10 or so months later and the gutter is full of standing water, breeding mosquitos, etc... I call and within a few days the guy comes out to adjust the gutter to flow towards the downspout, he laughs and says to me that he had no idea why the young man had them install smaller downspouts on a larger gutter. So at that point I realize just how much I was had. Now I have to clean the gutters every 2 weeks through fall and winter. The back one that was adjusted is black. The front is streaked with pollution and I got on a ladder and tried to clean it with soap and a sponge, but with no luck. You get what you pay for.... :(

I would give a negative star If I could. I cannot speak of their workmanship, because we never made it that far. They came out to give me an estimate, while I was at work and was supposed to email me a quote . They never emailed a quote nor did they follow up with me the next day. So I call them and the guy tells me "We are not a cheap company", my response " I never said money was an issue". He goes on to basically tell me that they dont do repairs, we only do replacements. So the moral is this, If you need repairs, DONT CALL THEM. If you live in an Historical neighborhood where the cheapest house is around $180,000.00, DONT CALL THEM, because they may think you cant afford their services.

As one woman said you cant leave a review unless you click on a star, but would give them a negative if I could. Found this company through Home Advisors, I had to contact them, got an e-mail that someone would get in touch with me soon, had to e-mail them several days later just to see if they had time for any new business. They ended up making an appt. with me but in the end they had to cancel, said he was in Bloomington, and that he would look my house up and send me a quote, that they really wanted my business. Well it is now 2 weeks later, still have not heard a word from them. Guess they didnt need my business after all ! ! Judy

We needed an new roof. I was so glad we found Richmond Exteriors. John Gross was our salesman. He was fabulous!! He was very friendly and patient and answered all of our questions. He was very thorough in covering all aspects of our purchase both before and after the work was done. Once we decided color, style etc. we did not have to wait long at all for the new roof to be put on. The employees that did the installation work very efficiently. Even our neighbor commented on how hard they worked. We are very satisfied with Richmond and will definitely be calling them again for more projects.

I cant say enough great things about our new roof, gutters and columns for our home. We suffered hail damage in April. Todd from Richmond Exteriors came out and checked out our damage and got our house looking back to new in no time! Our house is about 17 years old, but looks brand new again. The workers were very skilled, and completed the work quickly. You couldnt even tell they had been there, they completely cleaned up everything! Do not hesitate to use this company, you wont be sorry! We really appreciate all that was done for us with no hassle at all! Thanks again for everything!

We had a very large project of roofing, gutters and siding replaced on our house, garage & sheds and all was handled in a very timely matter going beyond what was quoted with fixing some unseen damages without extra cost to us. Dealing with the people was a great experience from our first call to the office to get a estimator out to the project manager and the crews doing the job, work was professional done correctly with everything cleaned up nice at completion, No complaints at all on our experience.

The estimate for a repair was a minimum $350 for gutter and $750 for siding, sales guy said it would be more to repair a corner piece. NEVER got an estimate Never got a call back, Salesman was a waste of time, bitched about his job and boss. I used Richmond gutter a long time ago, never again. Lots of glittz and no action behind it. Got the work done by another company for $500. Dont waste your time with these people, bad service at the beginning means bad service all the way to the end
