unorganized, unprofessional I reserved my u-haul from the Castleton location two weeks before my move from Indiana to California. I expected to be organized and efficient, two things that this location was not. I spoke to a few different staff members as I planned my move, one rep helped me change my reservation from a 10 ft tuck to a 15ft to make sure I had enough room and compared prices, I really appreciated this! Thinking everything was set up I arrived to pick up my U-haul only to be told the truck I reserved had been STOLEN! They ended up putting me in a 20ft that was WAY too big, cost me more on gas and was more difficult to maneuver! After speaking to the staff and confirming my reservation in person, on the phone and email I think they should have handled this situation differently!

Had to wait 45 mins to pick up the truck (there was only 1 1/2 person working. the 1/2 because the other staff member would disappear for several minutes then reappear). The general manager was the one who handed us the keys. When we commented it had been a long wait she answered "Sometimes the wait is 3 hrs". The attitude of the staff was disrespectful and acted as if this type of service is what we should expect. When we returned the truck no one was outside we had to go in twice to ask for assistance. Another customer said he had been waiting 30 mins just to drop off. Throughout our experience the general attitude from the staff seemed to be "too bad if youre in a hurry because we dont care".

I picked up the truck in the morning and Charles told me not to fill out the damage portion of the inspection sheet. He said, "You dont need to fill that out, I know everything thats wrong with that truck." I decided to fill out the scratches and dents portion of it just in case and I trusted him that the truck was in good working condition. When I tried to do a move at night, I came to find out that the truck had no working low-beam lights nor did the running lights in the cab work! So I couldnt see where I was going and I couldnt tell how fast I was going as I drove through Indianapolis at night. I will not do business with this U-Haul facility again. Renter beware!

After loosing my travel trailer and tow vehicle, I rented a truck to bring back my belongings. On the way home I received a call from u-haul wanting to know when I would arrive back home. I said, I was on the way home and should be home by 11 am. They wanted to know if I could return the truck early, instead of the next day at noon because someone wanted the truck. I returned it and ask for a deduction in my bill since I was returning it one day early. The response was no! Not impressed that they would not even consider a refund.

Ive read the negative reviews, and like anything, there will be people who cant be satisfied. I have rented trucks from this location multiple times a year for 5 years, and the staff has always bent over backwards to be helpful. At times I felt guilty accepting so much good customer service. I understand Chuck may not be at this location anymore, but he was one of the best customer service managers I have ever met. So, from the point of view of a long time repeat customer, I have to say they have been great to work with.

Great staff, and if youre in Indianapolis this is the place to go. Its the largest dealership, they always have the equipment you need. the storage is incredibly reasonable, less than any other place Ive found. They have a whole section of storage units that are actually the boxes off the backs of U-Haul trucks... so if you need to store the stuff in a 26-foot truck, you can get a storage unit of exactly the same size (including the "attic"!) and know its going to fit. Management is very friendly and responsive.

UBox specialist is very friendly and helpful and fit me into an apparently tight schedule. Then she decides to ship my UBoxes without my approval. She told me she "thought" I told her to ship them, which I never did. The UBoxes didnt go out but $3000 came out of my checking account. Of which, $1000 was never explained. After making sure my money was put back into the account the Uboxes finally get shipped out. I will definitely be renting a truck from elsewhere for my next move.

Did not have a truck available for pick up after I had made a reservation several days earlier. Like the Seinfeld episode, they know how to make a reservation, they just dont know how to complete the transaction. On site manager told be he could not help me. Poor Management. Budget Trucks are less expensive, better maintained, and they know what a reservation means.

I thought the customer service was okay until I had a hitch installed. The tech either lied or messed up on the labor hours costing me more money. When brought to their attention the rep said "thats what the tech entered so thats what it is and theres nothing I can do about it". I recommend staying away from here. If you do go, make sure to watch your bill closely.

Staff here is incompetent. Been sitting here over an hour and half since my scheduled appointment and they still have not started my vehicle install for the trailer hitch. Hate writing a bad review but experienced the same thing again last time o was here because the didnt have my wiring harness in stock. This place sucks.

Worst Uhaul experience ever. Returning my large rental truck was a nightmare. Staff was extremely slow and unprofessional. While this one facilities poor performance was a disappointment, I would still consider using Uhual in the future, just at a different location.

Rude Rude Rude! They need to work on customer service, this is not somewhere you want to take your business, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. Their attitude is sickening. Trust me all the bad reviews about their poor customer service is true, call in to see for yourself....

Horrible experience with scheduling a truck. It ended up in the wrong location 3 hours late. The manager of this store said they would refund me $50 for my trouble and, two weeks later, I have not seen a single penny back. I will never use U-Haul again.

Terrible, terrible service. No matter what day or time I go it, seems like there is only 1 person working. I was loyal to Uhaul but there are other local places that wont make you wait 30+ minutes for something simple like propane or buying boxes.

All you get is transfered to a customer service rep who cant help you. Especially if you drove an hour to buy a hitch and it has parts missing. You have to drive the hour back just to find out they lost the parts and you have a worthless hitch!!

The customer service clearly suck. The staff rather talk to each other then help the customers waiting. I wouldnt recommend this place to my enemy. By the way do not get a 5x10 , storage is smaller than 3 of my feet and i wear a size 10
