Basel at Unique Geek reminds me a lot of the late Steve Jobs because he is so passionate and cares so much about all the details. He wants to make sure that you get an amazing product and will do everything he can to assure he provides the best service. He is so pleasant to talk with and is a great spirit! We started the project with a basic idea and it kept evolving from there. I kept asking him to do cool things with the website and he was able to do them all. He is so intelligent and will figure something out if he doesn’t know how to do it. The most important thing is that I trust Basel at Unique Geek. He explains things in a way I can understand and most importantly doesn’t push anything I don’t need. I have worked with a lot of web developers and will only work with Basel going forward. Brought my laptop in for repair as the touch screen had cracked. They quoted me at a fair price but took longer than expected on it. When I called to inquire they said they had a problem and wanted me to come in to consult on it. Turns out they didnt know how to connect my touchscreen back to the computer, or ordered the wrong screen. They offered to give me a reduced rate to take it as is or be without my conputer for 2 weeks. Unfortunately it was finals week and so I had to take the improperly repaired computer at a lower price. Now my screen has cracked again just after the 90 day warranty has expired even though it has only had normal wear and tear. Thank you for your response and attention to customer service. Due to this I understand better and will increase my rating for your business, as it seems to have been mainly a misunderstanding on my part.

Amazing service, prices, turn-around, and attention to detail! I couldnt be happier. A bad cord fried my iPhone 6 plus. The "warranty program" with Verizon wanted $199 to replace with a refurbished.....plus, I would lose all my data on the phone (outside of contacts). I had important lists, etc. Anyway, the owner acted like the phone was his own baby that needed attention. He worked his butt off to get it fixed. Plus the price was far less than had I sent it to Verizon AND I got to keep all the important data I needed. This place saved my butt! I will go here for ANY of my electronic (phone, computer, TV, etc.) needs. This place is a hidden gem and my only fear is that because they are so good and the owner cares so much, that soon they will be so busy that quality will fade. Go now! And Thank you to Unique Geek!

I am traveling and a piece of the power adapter break off in my IPad. I took it to a local Verizon store but they could not help me but gave me the name of the local authorized Apple repair business. They looked at the iPad about a minute and said nothing could be done. I had Googled businesses and saw Unique Geek rated highly. I took my iPad there and they told me they would try to remove the piece for $30 or if that did not work, they would open it and replace the part. 4 hours later, they called and said they removed the piece and I could pick it up. I was surprised that they could do what the authorized Apple repair business could not and for a very. good price. Thanks for the very friendly and amazing service. I highly recommend this business to anyone with a broken cell phone, tablet or computer!

The owner of Unique Geek in Valparaiso cheerfully accepted helping me with my non-functioning MacBook. He took it back to factory install, and diagnosed the mother board as being functional. Why is this service "unique?" I had taken it to an Apple Store for the same service and they wouldnt take on this (apparently) routine problem with people who like me who cant do these things. The owner was professional and took time to thoroughly explain what he was doing to do and exactly what it would cost. Very honest, encouraging, and cordial. Cost was more than fair. What an excellent experience with a small businessman. I traveled over an hour to Valparaiso but it was definitely worth the trip! I highly recommend using Unique Geek.

I am SO happy to know that I now have a computer repair company that I can count on! My WiFi adapter stopped working and I looked online to figure out where to take it. I noticed that Unique Geek had 5 stars and since it was in Valpo it was an easy decision to take it there. I dropped it off at 11:30 on Saturday morning and by 3:00 he called me to let me know it had been repaired. When I picked it up, I was VERY pleased with my invoice total and explanation about what had happened. He also gave me some various tips as to how I can maximize my computer performance. If you live in the Valparaiso area and need to have a computer fixed, go to Unique Geek. I cannot imagine that you would be disappointed.

It is not very often that I highly recommend a business, but this business should get a 10 star rating (if there were one)! The owner, Basel, is very honest, very intelligent and truly cares about his customers. His prices are very fair and he quickly gets the job done! He goes out of his way to help you understand everything and is always available to answer any questions! When I bring him our computers or phones I do not have to worry about personal information being compromised, in fact, he put extra security measures on our computers and we have not had a problem since! I wish all businesses would operate as he does, with honesty, love and integrity!

Unique Geek helped my husband last year with his HTC and replaced his charging port. When I had a problem with my phone my husband suggested I take my phone in to to Unique Geek and see what they say. Basel was great. He diagnosed the problem and sadly informed me that there was nothing he could do but did however give me some great suggestions. When it came time to pay my recipient read $0.00. I asked if it was correct that he must charge for his time to diagnosis the problem. He informed he that he takes care of his customers. My husbands phone is on the fritz and Ill be bringing it back to Basel for him to replace the touch screen.

Do not take your computer to these guys.!!! I took my macbook pro to them after it crashed. They diagnosed that the graphics card in the "mother board" crashed!! They sold me a refurbished laptop and attempted to download my time machine back up to it. I picked it up twice, but it would not boot up. So....after 3 weeks and no computer, I got a refund. The tech that worked on it blamed my back up device and told me not to use it on a new computer. I purchased a new macbook pro and downloaded my time machine on it - no problems. I would Never recommend to anyone that they take there computer to these guys.

THESE GUYS ARE AWESOME!!! They fully DESERVE a 5 star rating! Fast repair, friendly service, knowledgeable & honest! Very fair pricing for labor & parts! They did exactly what they promised, for exactly the cost they quoted me. It was even repaired in under an hour! You can tell they love what they do & truly enjoy helping people. They even took the time to give me some tips & general info about my device. These are the kind of small business owners in the community that I like to support. I will definately refer my friends & family to these guys!
