Its a local movie rental store from a dying era, but it still has its advantages - usually the staff members are passionate about movies & engage in intelligent conversation, recommend movies, help find a specific movie you might be looking for, etc. For someone that wants to crash after work & just let Amazons or Netflixs algorithms guide your movie watching, then Family Video probably isnt the place to go. It does fill a niche & is still popular in the age of streaming.
