Tried charging me for an alignment service that was never performed. I took my car in on 11/15/14 to have an alignment service performed for a pull to the left. They had my car in and out in less than 30 mins, so I was a bit skeptical it was done. I go to the counter to sign the paperwork and the guy rang me up for $93 on the service almost immediately and did not even go through the alignment results with me. I told him I had their lifetime alignment package so I got the cost waived. I then inquired about the alignment and he very briefly showed me the sheet and couldnt answer me when I asked if any adjustments were made. He went to ask a tech and came back saying "Youre all good, bud." I ask again if any adjustments were made. Now he and the manager teams up to tell me that the alignment was all in the green so no adjustments was made. I tell them I still have a pull and he blames my tires and that it might have a "radial pull" as the tires wear down. This is funny because my tires are BRAND NEW Michelins I got at the Toyota Dealership with less than 500 miles on them. I state this and now they blame it on a bad tire and tell me I need to take it back to Toyota. Rather than trying to help me with my problem, they tried to push me out the door as quickly as possible. I highly doubt my brand new premium name tires are bad nor are they the cause for the pull seeing that it was present before I got new tires. My tires were purchased from Toyota/Scion of Iowa City and I know that quality work was performed. I will not be back and I have the names of the Manager and the guy at the counter with which I will be filing a complaint with corporate. -Michael Trinh

this review is for tires only. i have no idea what their repair service is like. I got a great price on my tires when selected on their website but there is a trick to it. i ordered by car type and got a lot of extra charges that i did not need ( i.e. my car does not need air pressure levels adjusted because my car does not have that feature). but once you get your tire size order your tires based on size instead of by car and it saved my 36$. also sign up for their offers and you get a 10% off coupon. they will also try to up sell you their tire warranty, I would avoid this as your tires already come with a warranty and their replacement is at their discretion. it just does not seem like a value. now for the bad. i took my car in at 8am on Saturday for new 4 tires. it took them 2 hours to complete it. they had my car up at 8:02 so i have no idea why the took 2 hours for 4 tires. incredibly slow. I used to break down tires at my dads repair shop and it took us less then 30 minutes for a 4 tire swap on a manual rim remover, i have no idea what could have taken them so long. as others have said, its slow. but if you can get a good price then its worth the hassle. bring a laptop, movie or book if you plan to wait.

I took our truck to this Tires Plus for 2 tires and a thermostat. Throughout the whole afternoon I was there I kept being told it was almost done. This happened several times. 4 hours later I was told it was finally done and it would be driven to the front of the store. I paid the $750 bill and went outside since it was to be waiting for me. I stood outside waiting for 10 minutes when the guy from the counter came out and told me he didnt know where the mechanic was with my truck but he would call him. After another ten minutes of waiting I finally saw our truck being driven on the street in front of me. He was going fast enough that he had to hit the breaks hard enough to lock them up at the light. He then drove the truck to me and just said he had to make sure it would drive OK. No apologies or anything for not only making me wait for 4 hours but driving my truck in a wreckless manner! I doubt my husband would have been treated like this. We will not be returning.

Three staff members standing at front office and asked to see if they could help me with a license plate light that was out. The manager came out and took one second to look at it and said "nope" and walked away without even trying. It was a rusty screw I couldnt get out. He offered no help or even tried. I would have paid to get it fixed. Autozone fixed it in 10 mins for less than $10. His arrogance and unwillingness to help was just a reminder to never give them business. I can only imagine what they do to people that have more critical needs ... dont bother them for the small stuff because they just want to charge the big bucks. While there, another customer wasnt happy with their service evidently. Tires Plus my ass! New to Cedar Rapids so Ill go to Good Year next time I need tires.

Reasonably quick and accurate on recent 4 tire install (tires from Tire Rack). Install bill didnt match Tires Plus quote but the difference was not that much. My most significant complaint was that he tires were not properly inflated. I was given a sheet at check out listing the pressures (1psi off from correct values). I thought "cool" and "close enough" however when I checked them a couple weeks later they were all the same (and) all wrong (+4 psi onthe front, -2 psi on the rears). Not a huge deal but why give me a sheet with the wrong values?

Was here to get tires about a year ago. They claimed to be "out of their most common" tire. (I highly doubt theyd let that happen. I know how taking inventory goes) I was there alone. They ended up charging me $700 for tires!!! (This is a Chevy Impala, NOT a Mercedes) Im sure that they gave me more expensive tires just bc I was a lone woman & didnt know any better. Im still pissed. My fiance is pissed. We wont be back. Better off going to Collins Road Tire right behind them.

I worked here for a year..used to be 4 tires in 59 minutes or less with an appt, which I have. As Im writing this im 6 minutes past 59 minutes of just waiting for my vehicle to be pulled in..and then Todd has the audacity to ask me to return another day. After I spoke with the store manager Randy monday, and was instructed to call and return Wed. Apt was at 5pm. Its past 6 and vehicle sits outside. Absolutely ridiculous.

The attention and service were beyond my wildest expectations. They made sure that I was constantly updated with the condition of my car before a long road trip. I had a belt with multiple cracks, which they showed me, and it was very reasonable to replace. Rick & Rick were both excellent at customer service and easy on the eyes =) Good Job Tires Plus!!!!
