Can we add more STARS? Tires Plus is Amazing!!!! I have been going to them for years. Shaun, Tim and the rest of the crew have been so helpful for me and my family. We have four small children, so their waiting room is a blessing with stuff for our children to do. And they always have fresh coffee!!!! And with four small children, I need my coffee! It was superb and even remarkable to me, being a female, that they had tires available in their lobby for me to see, in person, touch them, the groovey things, and holes and for them to explain even how they go on our three vehicle.... It is funny, since I do not know about this stuff. And they have even had women work there! Isnt that awesome? I thought so? A woman who does this kind of thing? I didnt know there were. So I was thinking, being a strong woman, that that was pretty fabulous that they would employ women there! I am glad women are starting to show up in masculine positions. They explained EVERYTHING to me, and my husband, and even showed our son a few things about cars! Which he loved and still talks about. These guys are great! I love their service sooo very much! How ever I did move away from the area, and if I visit my family in Eau Claire, I wait on my oil change to go to TP. Its that important to me to have great service and the men, and women, are very helpful, nice and outgoing. They go above and beyond in my book. You do not find service like that anywhere these days! So hats off to them. My husband also loves them. He does know quite a bit about mechanics, but he is just so busy, he doesnt have the time to do it, and he has a busy job being a doctor, and volunteer firefighter, that he cannot do mechanic stuff on his array of vehicles anymore, so we went there for all the years, and they serviced a lot of vehicles for us, and my husband simply checked it over after and was super impressed, every time... Oh I think one time he noticed the radio was turned off or something? Just trying to think if he ever complained about it... no I dont think so. He said that once they even had fresh pastries and of course, the fresh coffee... Why did we have to move? Lol And when we visit, they are like family, and we have to stop in and say "HI!". And get work done. And I love how homey it does feel there. They have very nice old antique pictures of cars on the walls, that sadly and gladly, remind me of my grandpa and grandma! And those are some pretty awesome memories of that red car my grandpa had... I dont know what it was, but it was beautiful and fun. So, it is a great place all around! And I love it there and would recommend them to anyone! And if you need my number for my recommendation, I will leave it with Shaun and you can simply call him for it. Have a wonderful day! Make sure to do flushes, winterize, get new tires, and alignment of tires with there machine that I could see through the window of the guys working on my vehicle. I like that you can actually see them work too. Then you know what is going on. And they fix anything from the nose to the caboose of a car. Fabbie Tabbie work guys! Truly one of a kind. I still havent found a shop where I feel at home. So go ahead and give me a jingle, and you can leave a message and I will be glad to get back to anyone about them. They are that special to me, like family. Thank you guys and girls. From my family to the Tires Plus family! Heres one to you!!!! Sincerely yours, Arin Staidl August 10, 2016

I would certainly have to agree with the last person christina who previously reviewed this business, because I shared almost the exact same experience. The first time I had gone there, I requested to have my brake fluids flushed,- they didnt want to do it. Instead they insisted that there was a suspension problem which would cost me over $2500 for them to do... yeah, right. I refused for them to work on it. I was reluctant to bring my car to them again for anything, but when it came time to have my winter tires swapped out for my summer ones. I thought that this was a minor thing and that Ill let them do it... Well, that too was a wrong idea. You see, most places would charge you on average $40-55 for a simple swap like that. But no, TiresPlus on E. Hamilton Ave. quoted me $118.00. I looked at them and simply refused to sign the agreement... I just wanted to punch that guy who threw me that quote because it was ridiculous. Bottom line people, this business is in trouble, and has been for quite some time... and how else would you compensate for a business thats in trouble? By trying to sell more repairs/services, even it theyre ones which are not necessary. Make sense? Caveat emptor Eau Clairians... Caveat emptor

I had gone there to get my tires replaced, had an estimate which I signed, seems well enough. As Im waiting for my tires to be installed, they make several trips out to me in the lobby to warn me of the thousands of dollars of work I need done. Some of their recommendations? Sway bar links and front brakes, which I had JUST HAD DONE not even a week prior! Then they break some springs in my rear drum brakes checking them (which I had NOT asked them to do) and charge me parts and labor to replace the broken spring!! I ended up leaving with my bill 30% higher than the estimate I had signed!! When I complained when they presented me with a big bill I had not agreed to pay, the guy behind the counter seemed very used to tuning out people who werent stupid enough to fall for their dirty business practices. He claimed it was MY fault because obviously I didnt take proper care of my vehicle. So unbelievably ridiculous. I would give them negative stars if I could, and obviously I tell everyone I know what horrible people they are and what awful service they provide. You couldnt force me to go back if everything was free!

I used to work for tires plus in eau claire. Be careful when dealing with these guys they recomend stuff that isnt needed and make it sound like its a life or death if you dont have it done, problem is that its not the people at the store trying to screw you over, we are told to have high pressure sales in order to keep our jobs and even the guys in the shop are told on their inspections that they have to have at least 5 things listed on their inspection sheets that is wrong with the car reguardless of the year or even milage, we are told this by the general manager of the store which also runs the store in Hudson and Cottage Grove. They also pay their guys comission which also makes it easy for the people working to take advantage of their customers. Be very careful when dealing with these people.
