I am shocked to learn that this store has recently received such a poor rating. Well over two years ago I was came all the way from Clinton to have my computer repaired at this store. While yes my computer was damaged will in their care, the Service Manager, at that time, went out of his way to make things right with me. In addition to the poor report recently listed, I now find out that the then Service Manager is no longer with this company. I am going to search him out with the other stores in the area to see if I can find him and will take my business to where he is located. Well no luck in finding the previous Service Manager. However, I am getting some really bad vibes from the various comments left here and other locations on the internet. I also believe that a vast number of the really good remarks are "canned" from management or friends of management. I guess it is time to take my business elsewhere. As computers go, other than the data, it is almost less expensive to buy a new computer that to have one repaired these days. That is why I have an extensive backup utility for all of my data. Still looking for the former Service Manager - need his help... Check out Angies List for more information regarding this company and their service. Apparently this has been an ongoing problem.

Seems as though this business has undergone a major change since all the positive reviews over a year ago. I brought two laptops in two months ago. One I had spilled a beverage on over a year ago and was not expecting a repair to be possible. However, dude replaced keyboard, installed new OS (cuz I wiped mine out), and said it was good to go. It is not going good, though. Very slow, freezes all the time.... im not too worried about that one though cause I replaced it. The replacement was the second laptop I brought in. Screen has a crack so all I need is a new screen. I paid for the screen on the spot and dude said hell call when it arrives. A month went by and I heard nothing, so I called. Was told wrong screen had been sent so theyre waiting for correct one. I called a week later. Was told "boss" was not in. I called another week later. Boss still not in. Called another week later. No answer. Called another week later, no answer. Called a few hours later, no answer called next day, no fn answer. Ill be going in tomorrow to request a refund for the screen I paid for. Ugh.

My computer crashed while I was creating an important PowerPoint display for a job interview. I panicked! I thought Id lost all of my work and maybe even my computer. I took my computer into a Best Buy and they recommended that I get a new computer which I couldnt really afford until I got a job. A friend of mine recommended that I call Ed at Precision Computer. Even though it was a weekend he met me down at the store. First he retrieved the PowerPoint data that I thought was lost. But I was still sure that I was going to have to buy a new computer. I cant tell you how relieved I was when he called me the next day and told me that he had my computer up and running! I had my computer and PowerPoint presentation back in time for my job interview. Unfortunately I didnt get that job. But I did get a different job 2 interviews later using the same presentation. THANKS ED!

These guys are GREAT! I stopped in while out of town on a business trip. My laptop hard drive had crashed, and I needed to be up and running quickly. They had a new hard drive in the machine, had the information transferred over VERY quickly, and I was able to get to my client meeting in time. It turns out that the old hard drive had been infected with a virus. They cleaned the virus out of that drive and had it back to me the next day at no extra charge! They even gave me the name of a better anti-virus software to protect my machine, and installed it when I came in to pick up the old drive. I am in the IT business, and was thrilled to have this kind of top-notch service available to me while I was out of town. Next time Im in Iowa with any computer issues, you better believe Im going here.

Precision Computer Services was recommended to me by a friend who raved about their help. They didnt let me down! My son had unintentionally damaged the fan/heat sink/processor part while trying to clean the board on his own. We were told up front what they could do, what possible outcomes would be, and what the costs might be. In less than a day I received a call with a diagnosis of what was needed and within a week, replacement parts were found (that were no longer manufactured), installed, and verified functional. The computer is working again. I appreciated they were respectful of our computer knowledge and didnt make a deal out of my sons "lesson learned". They got right to task and fixed it. Thank you!!!!!

Ive moved several times in the past 10 years. Every time I move I need to find somebody who is capable of repairing my computer. Precision Computer Services is tops. Ed Zipper and staff have one objective. Get you up and running with a computer that meets your needs, for a reasonable price. Ive taken 3 different computers in, and each time my issue was resolved quickly and professionally. PCS has reasonably priced computer components. Nobody tries to sell you something you dont need. Do you need to fix your computer or buy a new one? PCS is where I go.

I had a computer made at Precision and they are a great group of people to deal with! Anytime I have a problem they get it fixed right away. I have dealt with 5 different techs there and they were all knowledgable and professional. They make the Geek Squad Iook sick! I have never been treated badly there at all. You treat them with respect and you get respect back. I have bought several Items there and the employees have been great! I have recommended several others to go there. Great Job Guys!!

These guys know their stuff. I am surprised to learn they have poor rating b/c they were more gracious to me. Whether youre looking for computer repair or some last minute component needs for a system build, these guys are going to be the only ones with them on hand [as opposed to waiting 5-7 via internet suppliers]. They offered reasonable prices and fast service. Thanks PCS!
