Matt Montangue from Brad van Weelden Co. acted as our general contractor on a major rehabilitation of our twelve year old home. The original builder had neglected to construct the home with TIVEK, a critical insulating material. The result was that water had seeped in behind ALL the Hardyboard and windows in the home. Also, the raised wooden deck was rotting and needed to be replaced with concrete. Last, we needed to to repair major portions of our driveway and have some landscaping improved. Our experience with our complex project using Brad van Weelden as the general contractor was exceptional..They kept us fully apprised of the status of the project, ensured that the sub-contractors stayed on the projects critical path and within the overall budget. Best of all--NO SURPRISES! They have come back several times since to make sure that the quality of the work has withstood the last difficult winters in the Midwest. So far, no problems in this exceptionally managed project. Kudos to the company.

Brad and his crew installed our roof this fall, and I cannot recommend this company highly enough. After meeting with a host of Des Moines roofing companies, we chose to work with Van Weelden, and we are nothing but pleased with that decision. Brad took exceptional care in helping us decide which product to use, he answered an insane number of questions, and he was on site throughout the project to make sure everything was running smoothly. The team was prompt, hard-working, and very tidy from start to finish. I wish all home improvement endeavors ran as beautifully as the one we contracted with Van Weelden Company! We had our house resided and painted by Brad Weelden Co. We selected them because: 1) a neighbor had a positive experience with the company, 2) their bid was similar to the ones we received from other companies, and 3) the Matt Montange, company representative was knowledgeable and responsive to our particular concerns. The work was scheduled to meet our needs and was completed quickly. Any final concerns we had were corrected to our satisfaction. The exterior of our house looks great and should remain that way for a long time!

I would use company for siding anytime! Quality work! I would not recommend for front entry doors! Had new front entry door with 2 side panels installed and door goes thru weather stripping on door bottom and was not installed well. When I called about storm door install to help with cold air, I was referred to Beisser Lumber for install. They seem more large project/higher dollar project oriented than small projects.
